Title: What Do You Think?

Ok, so I think I have an idea of what to do with my random board. I like myths and legends and all of that good stuff. What if..I combined a mixture of Greek, Norse, Japanese, Chinese, and many other cultures together in one site, and role played them out?

For example the Japanese Yuki-Onna would be role played in the time she was depicted or described in (ancient Japan, or what have you). It would take a massive amount of knowledge I know, but I know a great deal of myths, so I could write up descriptions for people who are less informed.

So, RPG-D, what's your opinion on this?

Myths & Legends have been done, but they're generally centered on. . . er, one culture. And it's usually Greek.

Go for it o__o;

I think the best way to go about this would be to have different forums on the board dedicated for individual cultures.

I would put a forum to melt all the myths and legends together instead of making it the main focus of the board for those that would like to try. It would seem to me that it's going to be a lot of bookkeeping that is going to give some people a headache.

That's what I planned on doing. As for the head ache part that would be true for some people, but I hope to lure in the people who enjoy myths and legends. You have all of these fairy tale boards running around completely out of context, but that's another topic. Back to what I was saying, though, is that I would explain in a few bullets about each myth that would be done, and provide references.
