Title: Small Town Rpg

murder_101 - August 28, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
Genre: Real Life, Small Town
Difficulty: Doesn't matter
Type(s) of Creature(s): Humans
Preferred Rating: Any rating
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: Enough members to roleplay with, but not too active so I get lost the moment I join.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Present-ish

Other Notes: I recently got into the Gilmore Girls TV show, and I really like the idea of the whole small town community thing. So I'd like to get into a RPG with a small town in it.

We just opened so it's still looking for the start up members and stuff, so don't worry about getting lost.

Welcome to the lovely little town of Tottori, population... Well, let’s put it this way; everyone knows absolutely everything about everyone else. Or rather, they would love to. It’s one of those nosy little towns where everyone knows who is hooking up, breaking up, or, even, waking up. Pathetic, right? That’s what many of the inhabitants think but, hey, it’s home and leaving home is definitely harder than one may think when one has been living their childhood. But this isn’t about people growing up and leaving their home town. No... When you are welcomed to you’re also greeted by one of the longest lasting rivalries in the history of the world. Or at least in the world of academia.

May I introduce you to the two most prestigious schools in the country, if not the world. At least, that’s what they think in Tottori and thanks to the outstanding college acceptances, most people would agree with it. There is of course a high school for those who do not attend either of these schools, but those who don’t are frowned upon by the upper crust of Tottori society, namely the people who are somehow involved with either, or even both, of the schools. For Bennet Academy for Young Women and The Darcy School for Young Men are the places to be if you’re someone in Tottori, or if you’d like to become someone. The students at the schools are the best of the best, in some field or another, whether it be wealth, intelligence, artistic ability, etc. But nobody can ever beat the entirety of the student bodies of both schools in their rivalry. Nobody.

When the school’s were founded, they were founded as brother-sister schools and that has never changed. But like all siblings, The Darcy School and Bennet Academy have bickered over every little thing and anytime the two school’s meet, there is always some argument between them and not only in the administration; there is an extremely fierce academic and athletic rivalry between the students of the school. They have meets about once every month, switching off each month between an academic and athletic competition, and the students know one another very well. In fact, the student government of each school meets weekly to discuss joint affairs. If not for the fact that one is located at the South End of Tottori and the other at the North End, one would think that they were the same school. They even have school dances together.

And, since the students are male and female teenagers, well, they ignore the rivalries of their schools in order to fulfill the pleasures of the body and soul. But every so often the rivalry causes some issues in relationships creating so much friction between the male and female student bodies.

Well, here it is. All of the Circumstances in Tottori. And by all, I do mean His and Hers.

Oh Oh Oh! Check us out! We're a small town rpg with an actual small town feel to the rpg. We're a hs/town rpg so you could have a student or an adult if you wanted. We're extremely friendly and active even through the school year. Check us out, again! Thanks!

A small town with about 8,000 good hard working Southern folk in it. Football Nights are like a religious holiday here. The girls pretty themselves up for a wild night of partying and sex every Tuesday and Thursday. When Monday rolls around, the kids are caught skipping to hang out at Montana’s or City Limits. Sometimes, the braver ones dare to go to McDowell’s Hole.

Twenty years ago, a program was re-introduced into Little Jimmy's perfect world. Honky Tonk Angels. An association where they took young high school students who had found themselves in trouble with the law and the harsher ways of life out of NYC into the country. There the students were placed with foster families for the year as they worked with the kids to straighten out their lives. The program still thrives today with the children of the original lifers and angels. Unfortunately much like the Little Rock, Arkansas disaster some of the folks in Little Jimmy aren't so...

Welcoming. The older families in town aren’t so welcoming towards the newcomers as some nasty words have been flying back and forth. It seems the town’s secrets of racism and prejudice seem to be leaking out at every turn. A team of low-end FBI agents has come to Little Jimmy in hopes of keeping the peace. However, can years of hatred and prejudice slip away like the wind? Or will relationships be tested and lines crossed?

so lets say your a celebrity. your living the life nothing can go wrong you know it. but sometimes fame is to much especially if your a teenager you cant make your own mistakes with out the world reading about it the next day. now normal life is looking better and better every day. life in la is looking shittier and shittier as each morning comes and your face is in the papers. what if there was a school that promised normalcy where you can go to school with other celebrity teens and normal teens. where only the celebrities know about the schools secret and the normal kids are there for the schools arts program.

---

so now you have four years to be normal get a part time job make friends that youll keep for the rest of your life although they dont know your really the guy they crushed on from the movie. or the girl they fell in love with. or for that matter who they wish they were. they have no idea what they wish to become is something your running away from and that you wish to have their life.

---

even though your running from hollywood you still have to do premieres, make movies, put out records and interviews. right? or else hollywood would suspect something if 50 teen idols picked up and left right? so even though you've escaped your still pulled back in from time to time and when you go you remember why your in the crappy town in Indiana in the first place. stardom isnt all its cracked up to be.

---

but how long can you stay hidden with out hollywood figuring out where your coming from or for that matter the normal students to figure out that your the guy they have the hots for. and run you out of the school? when you fall in love can you trust the girl to keep the secret? or will she blab to her best friend and the entire town know? would you take her to a premiere? give her a wig and protect her identity? so many questions that will be answered.

Hey there buddy,
Well I hope you'll take a moment to check us out. I would try and sum up our board here, but I think the advertisement itself gives that away. Simplicity is our key, both IC and OOC.

Cheers,
Kaia

F A L S E // C L A I M S

The time is right for summer frocks and sandals,
The sun is bright, the breeze is warm;
Summers here, and we've only just arrived.

The residents of Grenville Valley are an odd bunch,
Bursting at the seams to welcome the bus loads of tourists,
Jumping up and down to lend a cup of sugar to their neighbours,
The teenagers are ever so polite;

Everything is not what it seems, here at Grenville Valley;
When the sun goes down, and the lights come on;
the township is a completely different place;

The local waitress is standing under a street lamp,
The commited husband is cheating on his wife,
The teenagers are gathering outside the nightclub,
And Good Lord!
The Pastor is stealing the prized petunias!

My oh my,

Everybody has such False Claims

Can you survive the harsh reality of ... real life? Or will you crumble like weak cement?

Notes:
- 100% original IC forums.
- Open/progressive plot. Allows all members, regardless of age, to participate.
