Just thought I'd ask you what you thought. (I don't actually want to start a RPG, I just wanted to put down some ideas.)
Name of Game: Realm of living rocks.
Playable Races: Dragons, Dragonpeople, Elves, Catgirls, Sea Basilisks, humans.
Races: To many to describe so we let people make up their own.

Plot: Once there was a huge planet named Occeih, it was made up entirely of ocean, but gradually the ocean sank and islands started to appear. For the first few million years or so, life thrived, many new life forms evolved and magic was real. By now the humans had recked the Earth and had sent out some spaceships to find a new planet to live on. They found Occeih, they saw a green planet with an abundance of oxygen and water, they decided to take a closer look. Unknown to them, a mechanic had mixed up the teleporter and the laser beam, so when they tryed to teleport down to Occeih they shot out a laser beam of maximum power. Occeih got shattered into millions of pieces and all the animals were stranded on little pieces of the planet, but one huge chunk of planet remained intact, the lucky creatures that were on this piece of land set out to rescue the others. Though less than a quarter of the populace was saved it was a godsend to the all the many lifeforms. All that happened hundreds of years ago, now all the rescued species are flourishing and new ones are starting to evolve. The Realm of Living Rock is peaceful.

As for the plot, I think it's good backstory, but it's not a real plot. All of that doesn't pertain to what is actually happening currently in the RP. Basically I just read a bunch of stuff only to find out in the end that I had just read nothing. Don't get me wrong; it's definitely interesting, but it's not a plot. What's happening now that would attract members?

Oh, well, lets try this as a plot:
The chunk of land was big but not big enough. After many years of life thriving and multiplying the population is getting out of control. Many different solutions have been put forwards to solve this problem and they have formed a vote of the top 4::
Killing the animals: 2032
Finding a new place for the animals: 2033
Getting enough power to create more land: 2000
Shrinking the animals: 1800
Unfortunately a war has broken out about what to do, all the votes have done is create definite sides. This war is among humans only but all the races are being affected. All the scientists are working full time trying to find a way for their way to be done. Even the legendary dragonpeople are getting involved. (Of course, there involvement totals up to stopping others using their ideas while developing theirs.)

That definitely is more plot-like. :pink: In addition, it also tells people what's going on currently rather than what happened in the past.
