Title: Reignite My Roleplaying Love?
Description: pleeease.
Miss Khaos - August 26, 2008 02:14 AM (GMT)
Genre: Any
Difficulty: Any
Type(s) of Creature(s): Any
Preferred Rating: PG-13 or up
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: As long as it's active, member count doesn't matter
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Any
Other Notes: Alright, I know this request is a bit vague, but here's the challenge: I need something that will make me love roleplaying again. I've roleplayed for years and years and lately all of the sites with their long post lengths and overly-extensive plotting out of threads beforehand has made it seem like a chore for me! I want a site where I can have fun, be creative with my characters, and fit in to a friendly group. If you think your site can do this for me, whatever the member count or genre or anything, please post here!
Noooo proboards please.

I have two, that may or may not interest you :)
This one just started, so its a little slow at the moment

The time of peace is over and a new war has begun. Those that sought refuge at Hogwarts were only greeted with the remains of what used to be the castle. Five years ago, after the Death Eaters had finally shown the Wizarding world that they have regained their power destroyed it.
A new dark lord has risen, taking control of the Ministry, and the Wizard World. Those whose ancestors were part of the Order and those who wish to long to have the peace restored have regrouped, calling themselves the Resistance and vowing to bring the peace that has been destroyed back into existence. It won't be easy, the Death Eaters are stronger than ever.
The Aurors, once thought as peace keepers, have started to hunt out Muggles and those they deem unworthy of using magic. Now they have focused on pockets of the Resistance, hoping to wipe them out before they have a chance to make a stand.
Battles and duels threaten to take place on a daily basis and spies are starting to infiltrate both sides. Although most members of the Resistance have their alignment unknown only a few are starting to make theirs known.
In this war there is no in between; a side must be chosen: Death Eater or Resistance?
Which side will you choose?
the Dark Times Upon UsThis one is pretty active :)

It all began in 1692. There was so much death and destruction that families were torn apart, and neighbors became suspicious of each other. Many began to see the ruin humans could cause and fled the countries and cities of their youth in search of haven elsewhere. Some found their way to St. Anthony’s Island and the town of Little Salem.
Those who were considered mythical beings joined together for protection and survival and so began the Treaty of Three, a treaty designed to protect the humans as well as the vampires, the werewolves and the witches.
The rules were simple enough: no harm was to come to any human; no human should ever learn the existence of these groups; and no member of the treaty was to purposely hurt another member of the treaty. Any violation of these rules meant death for all those involved.
Well, strange humans with the hell-bent intention of making myths extinct have begun arriving on the island. A vampire belonging to the more peaceful of the bloodsuckers’ families has been murdered, and found alongside an innocent human. And the Treaty has been broken by the ‘child’ of one of its original creators.
A war has been brewing beneath the guise of peaceful efforts, and things are about to explode. You’re not going to want to miss the next boat to

We are friendly and we LOVE new players. We are well established, have been running since 2006 so there is no danger of us dissapearing never to be seen again. We have a main plot of the site but people always make their own and involve themselves as much or as little as they like. You don't have to have anything to do with the main plot or you can thrown yourself in, or a mix of both.
We are also on invisionfree.
Board Name: Legends of Man
Board URL: Legends of M A N"Fifteen Hundred Years have passed in the current age of man. The multitude of creatures I have created have come together to live in relative harmony. However, unrest has reared its ugly head. Two families fight for the throne: the Aloch family and the Mon'dia family.
Both families have a long history of conflict. From the moment I created both, I could see the world was not big enough to comfortably hold them all. However, by that time, it was too late for my intervention.
The Mon'Dia have many supporters, and they are popular. A family who base their ruling on the arts, on music, dancing and joy. A beautiful family- but of very little substance. They could not bring themselves to uphold laws.
The Aloch too have their supporters. The Aloch are useful; They are full of ideas and wisdom, and they are resourceful. In their own way, they too are a beautiful family. They ruled with more strength and upheld laws. As can be expected, they are not so popular amongst the criminal element.
Both families fight with force. Both wish to claim the throne. Both claim their right to it. Their hatred for one another has reached a fever pitch, and both families are using their sway to influence my creatures to join the fight. Treason, Murder, Tactics, Military Operations, Espionage. It has grown into a war.
A war for freedom, a war for Illiria, a war for their lives...
This world is not only for those that are human, for my creativity spans far beyond the simple human being. From those who cannot die, to those who are forced to walk the this world cursed to live in death. Those of pointed ear, winged back or beastly heart. All inhabit the earth I created, all live through me..."

Not only do we meet your requirements, but we offer pies on request. Cookies, though, will take you a bit of work, as we're a bit more picky about who we give those to. Mainly because we cannot bake cookies, and thus need to know that you won't sue us if you contract food poisoning.

200 years have passed since the immortals were sealed away. In the generations to follow, they exist only in tales to amuse the children of kingdoms such as Tortall. The country's capital, Corus, is filled with citizens from all walks of life, each living, from day to day, as well as they can manage - some more legally than others.
The palace is abuzz. Not only has one of the Conté princesses become betrothed, but her Carthaki fiancé has come to Corus – for all that the wedding is half a decade away. With him have come banquets, balls, a tournament, and scores of newcomers, from courtiers to slaves. Not all of the visitors, however, have arrived to wish the couple well; any good spy knows the best time to move in.
Too, mages bring bad news. Suggestions of a poor harvest come autumn leaves city residents unsure which would be worse: higher taxes in order to pay for food imports, or a winter starvation. With such uncertainty in the air, many have begun to turn to the Court of the Rogue for help – but at the moment, the Rogue isn’t the happiest of places, either.
Outwardly, the country is at peace. Inwardly, though, old prejudices die hard. While the war with the Yamani Islands has since ended, the Yamani who make their home in Corus still face residual bitterness, making a hard life even harder. Word of skirmishes along Tortall’s southern border reaching the streets has the potential to create another public enemy, Mithros slay any resident who suggests the true enemy might lie within the city’s walls.
In a place such as this, everything can change at a moment’s notice, and never shall any day be ordinary in CORUS |

Hi there! I'm glad to hear you're specifically looking for something fun, because fun is what I have to offer you. :)
Silvermoon is a mostly-original fantasy RP whose entire purpose is having fun and RP for the sake of RP. The primary plot is a political duel between empires at cross-purposes and the sovereign states that make up those empires, but in practice it's played like a pulp adventure story or a soap opera romance. The openness of the world means there's a home for basically any concept you'd like to play, and the over-the-top awesome means there's always something hilarious and larger than life going on. We've got a very warm community and a lot of friendly players, and we'd love to help you love RP again. :)
Lady Notorious - August 26, 2008 03:25 AM (GMT)
I just opened up a brand new roleplay; hopefully it'll make people love roleplaying!Welcome to the lovely little town of Tottori, population... Well, let’s put it this way; everyone knows absolutely everything about everyone else. Or rather, they would love to. It’s one of those nosy little towns where everyone knows who is hooking up, breaking up, or, even, waking up. Pathetic, right? That’s what many of the inhabitants think but, hey, it’s home and leaving home is definitely harder than one may think when one has been living their childhood. But this isn’t about people growing up and leaving their home town. No... When you are welcomed to you’re also greeted by one of the longest lasting rivalries in the history of the world. Or at least in the world of academia.

May I introduce you to the two most prestigious schools in the country, if not the world. At least, that’s what they think in Tottori and thanks to the outstanding college acceptances, most people would agree with it. There is of course a high school for those who do not attend either of these schools, but those who don’t are frowned upon by the upper crust of Tottori society, namely the people who are somehow involved with either, or even both, of the schools. For Bennet Academy for Young Women and The Darcy School for Young Men are the places to be if you’re someone in Tottori, or if you’d like to become someone. The students at the schools are the best of the best, in some field or another, whether it be wealth, intelligence, artistic ability, etc. But nobody can ever beat the entirety of the student bodies of both schools in their rivalry. Nobody.

When the school’s were founded, they were founded as brother-sister schools and that has never changed. But like all siblings, The Darcy School and Bennet Academy have bickered over every little thing and anytime the two school’s meet, there is always some argument between them and not only in the administration; there is an extremely fierce academic and athletic rivalry between the students of the school. They have meets about once every month, switching off each month between an academic and athletic competition, and the students know one another very well. In fact, the student government of each school meets weekly to discuss joint affairs. If not for the fact that one is located at the South End of Tottori and the other at the North End, one would think that they were the same school. They even have school dances together.

And, since the students are male and female teenagers, well, they ignore the rivalries of their schools in order to fulfill the pleasures of the body and soul. But every so often the rivalry causes some issues in relationships creating so much friction between the male and female student bodies.
Well, here it is. All of the
Circumstances in Tottori. And by all, I do mean
His and Hers.

While Graciously Yours does offer plotting - rest assured that it is completely and utterly optional. I tend to use an older method of RPing when you actually made relationships as you went through the game, and didn't plot them ahead of time. I keep it there for people who like that sort of thing.
The premise behind Graciously Yours is not terribly difficult. You should like it, and fit right in. We've just started, so gameplay is a bit tight, but that's fine. RP just as you see fit.

-My Dearest Friend - I hope the weather finds you well, and that your spirits are just as well. I know that this letter is quite overdue, as you have implored me many times that I write to you. My status here is well, and it would be a honor to have you here too.
The year is 1904 - and our dear, dear Queen Victoria, she's been dead for 3 years now. While parts of the world seem to be rife with unrest, our little area of England seems to be doing fine.
Our school has changed hands, and we're positive that you'll love it here. Our owners mysteriously disappeared in 1901 - around the time of the death of our beloved Queen. Still, we continue to work, and the chatter amongst girls of our station still continues on. The biggest chatter is the mystery of what happened to Mr. and Missus Pennington - and why is it that they have disappeared so suddenly. Their whereabouts are a mystery to all of England - though it truly is fun to talk about them and devise rumors. We have gotten a new headmistress, and she's such a sweet woman. We adore her so very much.
The word here is that a building near us is being renovated into a school for gentlemen. Our matron is unnerved by this concept, and has given us a long lecture regarding how we should behave as the fairer sex, but for the life of me, it truly is difficult. It is hard to not hear about the times that the young menfolk come in and tour the school. Sometimes, we'll take secret excursions to the other campus, as it isn't very far from here - it is only within walking distance.
Our classes are difficult, and we are expected to do our best on everything. We are expected to excel in our studies, and become decent housewives and mothers. We learn about the arts and other countries, but never a thing about politics. Politicking is something that is truly too much for many of our female minds, though young women at this school exist that seem to dream about it.
Still, you'll find many here that are interesting, many who aren't, many who will positively get on your last nerve, and so much more. We are but a motley little crew at this school, and with your intelligence, you'll likely get in on a scholarship. Perhaps I can put in a word for you? I dreadfully hope so.
The name? Oh yes - it's the Pennington Academy for Young Ladies. You'll fit in well here, I assure you.
Regards! -S.

Bursting at the seams to welcome the bus loads of tourists,
Jumping up and down to lend a cup of sugar to their neighbours,
The teenagers are ever so polite;
Everything is not what it seems, here at Grenville Valley;
When the sun goes down, and the lights come on;
the township is a completely different place;

The teenagers are gathering outside the nightclub,
And Good Lord!

We started in Rent fandom, post canon, but in the past two years, we've developed into an RL game based in New York which happens to have the canons from that fandom running about. . . You don't need to know a thing about the musical or the movie, since the characters are just characters, nothing more. We're grown up, decent writers, and friendly as can be. Have a look. The banner in my sig's the link.

You're living in America at the end of the millennia. . . and you're not alone. Alphabet City We're in the year 1996 and the colorful residents of the East Village in Manhattan are facing the issues which challenge poor Bohemian artists in the mid-90s. Drug abuse, HIV, prostitution, starvation, death, life, and love. However, they find that they aren't alone, friends are all around, and there is always coffee to be drunk, issues to be discussed, and art to be created, good and otherwise. Come join our cast of canon and original characters, featuring a strong sense of community and creativity and find that you're not alone either. Other notes:Based on the Broadway musical RENT, set post-canon, though slightly AU to keep Angel alive. We have evolved and changed over the past two years from a fandom RP to a RL RP with some fandom characters. We are lucky to have a great group of OCs who are keeping the plot moving and changing quickly, and we always welcome new writers and OCs with open arms. We also have a brand new board! It's pretty and blue and still has that new board smell!! Come see. It's pwetty!!!

Deep in the heart of NYC, amongst the high-end shops and ritzy museums lies a secret hundreds of years in the making. The rich and powerful are not as they seem. In fact they are from an ancient lineage, that of the Blue Bloods.
They are vampires who's memories have been preserved through their past lives, making them extremely smart, strong, and lethal. They have more power than you can imagine... but something is hunting them. The Croatans, vampires that feed on others of their kind, hide in the shadows and for now it seems Blue Bloods no longer hold rank at the top of the food chain.

The year is 2118. It is four years after the Great World War.
The Earth has come under the rule of the self-proclaimed Emperor, Emmanuel Roth. In his plot to rebuild the Earth from the ruins, he has colonised the planet and runs the world from his base in the Aerium, Brandenburg, Germany.
Roth’s theory is that the foundations of a strong society in the future come from the past. It is for this reason that Roth has returned the world to the years of the Victorians; his native Britain’s glory days. But with the good – technology, employment, architecture – comes the bad – murder, poverty, illness and death.
Life and death can be a snap decision, like the flip of a coin. Will you survive to see the Earth restored to its former glory?

Hey there Miss Khaos,
We love to have fun at Mana4X2. In fact, we're in the middle of a sitewide plot where everyone is having a blast, and I can tell this just by reading their posts. We do plot, but not over extensively, and, most of all, we make it our aim to have a community that is very welcoming, where you'll be treated like a part of the family.
So, if you have any interest in RPing in the X-Men universe, check us out! We're PG-13 rated and well over four years old.

A lot has happened over the course of time, strength and growth clearly seen, as a new school year will inevitably bring more of the usual danger a resident of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters often faces. It seriously doesn’t help that Magneto‘s decision to open a new school of his own has seen many new mutants drawn to the Master of Magnetism's ideals. The Brotherhood Superiorum continues to grow strong, however, it's about to become no longer a school. Erik Magnus Lensherr cannot continue to inculcate his anti human ideals into the next generation if he has to constantly be looking after the duties being Principle entails! No, it's time to simplify things so he can once again focus solely on the dream that mutants WILL one day reign supreme! Who really wants to take sides though? Who really cares about either of their ideals? If that sounds like you, then DME is where you belong. Mana4X2's own concept created faction, Damien-Myne Enterprises, stretches over several cities, with its main office in New York City. Your boss is Colin Damien Myne, AKA Boilmet, founder and owner of this Freelance faction;; he offers you great accommodation, excellent pay, and the freedom to do whatever you want… Cross him, though, and your life won’t be worth living! Boilmet will do whatever it takes to make sure nothing gets in the way of furthering his business… NOTHING, not even you. And then there is talk that the Friends of Humanity are working on something to eradicate mutant kind and that The White Queen is slowly rebuilding the ranks of the Hellfire Club. Will the FoH succeed? Will the new HFC be stronger, or will it once again fall apart like it did the first time? Who knows, because only time will tell… ** Words of wisdom say, "Choose your associates carefully, yet choose them, for, there may come a time when your very survival will depend on it."

Welcome to Cairbre Ives Academy
You're here because you're talented in the wrong ways. You know how to pick a lock, hotwire a car. Maybe you can crack a safe, or maybe you've just got a talent for annoying people. You're here because the people who care about you just can't handle you, and want you straightened out before you do something dumb enough to get you thrown in jail. Or maybe you're just here because nobody else will take you. Doesn't matter to us, we're going to rehabilitate you into society.
But not in the way you think.
By the time you leave Cairbre Ives, you'll be a fully functional member of society. JUst not necessarily the society everyone else thinks. By the time you graduate from the Academy, you'll be able to serve in any government agency you care to name. We're not just talking as a spook here either, although there is an element of James Bond to the whole thing. Politics, Economics, even the stuff you need to get you on the NASA space programme; the curriculum at Cairbre Ives is as secretive as it is exciting. Our site is a freeform rpg. We do not limit the role-play with main plots but give our members the opportunity to explore exotic cultures, create characters of many walks of life and race, as well as indulge in the depth of our magic and Steamskills systems.
Welcome to the Steampunk world of
Legend Makers.
Seeing as we have a lack of main plot line, here's a bit about our current political situation:
The former King was lately found to have died of natural causes at the age of 35. Predicted cause of death was heart failure. Unknown to most, the result of his kingship's death was from a large quantity of Foxglove in his soup, which in small doses is classed as a drug used to aid those with weak hearts, yet large doses can prove fatal.
Following the death of the King, his child Alexander the III has taken up the role of monarch at the young age of 7 years old. Due to his age and inexperience, the Church has offered their services in helping run the Kingdom temporally until his 16th birthday when he can take his rightful position in the political world, seeing as his knowledge of the political world and faith will be up to acceptable standards.
Unknown to the public, the Church has lead the continent for the past 100 years by pulling such stunts similar to this one:
Monarchs have been used as political puppets, to be used when useful and discarded when posing a threat, much like the former king Alfred the IV. His Rule was cut shot due to a few outcries on his half against the Churches current place in the political world, (unaware, every decision he ever took as King was moulded by the Churches very hands). This lead to a momentary laps in the peoples respect for the Church. The Puppets strings were quickly cut away, opening a position for a new monarch, a new face for the church to hide there scheming behind.

9:20AM 01 SEPTEMBER 2008
regency park’s fire alarm sounds and the school is evacuated.
9:30AM 01 SEPTEMBER 2008
in just ten minutes the school is burnt to the ground with over
ten students missing inside the main building.
10:30AM 01 SEPTEMBER 2008
the parents arrive to take their ‘little darlings’ on home away
from the wreckage that was once the most prestigious and only
private school in charleston, south carolina.
9:00AM 07 SEPTEMBER 2008
unable to find anywhere else for the student body to finish their
education regency park’s four hundred or so population is shipped
off to the only other place in the town; charleston’s public high.
Have you ever walked into school in the morning knowing that
you’re one of the most hated people in the building? Have you
had your whole class ignore you because your father employs all
of theirs? The kids of Regency Park have. The difference between
them and you? They don’t care.
Raised as Charleston’s elite the rich bitches and spoilt brats of
Regency Park were brought up knowing they were better
than anyone else. They can wave their money at a problem and
it goes away; since birth they’ve never had to worry about a thing.
Now it’s all changed. Now they’re at public school and no one
here plays by the rules.
It seems like forever that the little Princes and Princesses from
Regency Park High have been lording it over you and your school.
They’ve strutted down the street, their families getting richer off
your family’s poverty. Apparently people couldn’t take it anymore.
Apparently somebody burnt down their school. And now they’re
here. Ready for you to take your revenge.
Everyone could take time to get to know each other like the principal
suggested; everyone could get along all happy and nice. And everyone
could have a fair chance at settling in.
But then it just wouldn’t be High School.
Would it?THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL.THIS IS WAR.I WANTED TO BE YOU

The Army: Five months ago, the British were driven from the Peninsula. They fought every step of the way, and their General was killed in battle. But now... now it is time to fight again. Not all the British left, however.
Sir Arthur Wellesley has recently arrived to take command of the small contingent left in Lisbon. Can he take them from defeat to victory?
The Navy: Five years ago, the British fleet defeated the French and Spanish in battle. They won a glorious victory at the cost of their Admiral's life. Britain gained control of the seas... or did she?
Rumours abound that the French are rebuilding their shattered fleet, ready to rise again. Will they succeed?
The French: The French are confident they can win. Their army is undefeated on land, save for minor skirmishes nine months ago. They are the best of the best. Their Emperor has returned to France, safe in the assurance that the British forces left pose no threat to his plans to take control of the entire Iberian Peninsula.
Soon, they will move south to strike at the Portuguese capital, knowing no one can stand in their way.
This is a world at war. From battles at sea to skirmishes on land to the secret fact-finding missions of spies of both sides, there is danger at every turn. There is friendship and camaraderie, too. But the clouds are gathering.

Hi Miss Khaos,
I think I've got an RP for you. :)
Genre: The Black Pullet is a Harry Potter AU board in the sense that we do not discuss any of the stories or characters that are dealt with in the books. We have our own issues in Magical Ireland and our own troubles with dark wizards; we have simply borrowed the magic and creatures from Harry Potter. We have a general plot guiding our story as well as admin controlled devices (Newspapers, Gossip, Fate, Radio, Townspeople) that steer things in many new directions. There is freedom to explore your own storylines as well as to react to what is happening around you.
Difficulty: We are listed as advanced, but without the attitude. We want to see good story writers but we don't get upset about typos or patchy grammar. We have no minimum word requirement but we like to see at least two paragraphs. Most of our posts are in the 3-5 paragraph range. We do have a plot in motion but it's not like you have to know it to jump in.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Right now our characters are all human and three werewolves (who interact as humans), with the odd goblin, house elf or troll thrown in. We are open to any creature in the HP world.
Preferred Rating: We are ‘R’ rated, but mature threads are not on the main board and only the writers themselves can ever read them. Swearing is allowed, with only the F word changed to "feck" (we are in Ireland ;) ).
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: We're not huge but we are active. Since March we've been averaging about 15 posts per day. There is always someone around with whom to post.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: The Black Pullet is set in 1969 and the town is very backward. There's no television -- people get their news by radio or the newspapers. They eschew cars and broom travel in favor of horses, trains and boats. Clothing styles date to around the Edwardian period, though young folks have been wearing more modern styles despite the bad looks the receive. Many who live here are fisherman or farmers. They like their ways and are suspect of those who want to rock the boat.
Note: Some forums are not visible until you are accepted.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. You can click on my signature to take you to the Black Pullet.

' ' fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight
never running from a real fight, she is the one named sailor moon ' '
. . . . . .
there is a tale as old as time
that tells of the ultimate battle between good and evil.
during the reign of the silver millennium
the majestic silver queen banished the vile negaverse
to the far reaches of the universe,
destroying the moon kingdom in her unyielding fury.
and rather than see loved ones die a tragic death
she gathered their souls to cast them to earth
knowing that one day they would be reborn
and a new era of peace would begin.
but as was said before, it is only a mythical tale ...
yet we all know that with every tale there is a grain of truth.
it is now the twenty-first century in tokyo, japan
and those once mythical souls of old are awakening
to a slightly darker reality.
the dark alliance of old has come
to occupy the final frontier: earth.
the only ones that can stop it are an ancient class of warriors,
the sailor guardians, united under a new leader.
so the tale goes on, and history begins anew,
for the next battle is set to begin ' when stars collide. . . . . .
' when stars collide is not strictly a fandom based site. we also offer forums for a simple, almost free form real life style roleplay. your characters can simply enjoy our version of tokyo and interact with canons in their simple lives, or create your own destiny with other original characters. make a subplot just for you, or join up with others. this site is what you make it to be.
