Title: French Revolution Rpg?
Description: who'd be game?

With the enthusiastic response to my suggestion of a Scarlet Pimpernel forum over in RP Forums You'd Like To See, I got to wondering how much interest there might be in starting up a French Revolution game. It could incorporate The Scarlet Pimpernel (of course), along with Les Mis, Tale of Two Cities, Scaramouche, and a host of other musicals, books, and movies set during that time period. Ideally, it would pay attention to period detail (which is really fabulously rich, with plots and characters that practically write themselves) and not just be Guillotine 90210.

Much though I'm tempted, I know don't have the time (or the mad skinning/graphics skillz) to set up and run something like this doing it justice. But if someone created one I would make time to play in it and help out however I could.

LES MIS ISN'T FRENCH REVOLUTION.

Sorry... I just hate when people make that mistake... It's about the Student Revolution of, well, I don't remember the year...

If someone made it, I'd definitely join.

*raises hand* Ask anyone, and they'll let you know how desperate I've been to find a good French Revolution rp. :) I'm such a nut at it - I get all angry when movies write the period/dates wrong, such as Du Barry was a Lady.
Count me in [to whoever would make it]! I made a FR skin if anyone needs it.

The French had far too many revolutions to remember them all. :p

I'd check it out, but I won't necessarily start playing on it because it exists.

I ran one for a bit, but it died due chiefly to lack of interest (and... I'm no longer interested, either). If you're interested, here it is:

The Third Estate

It was awesome. I played Robespierre and David. Awesome, I tell you.

But it wasn't really what I wanted. All the historical accuracy gave me a headache.

Still, there it is, if you'd like to check out how we set things up.

Best of luck!
