I HATE PEOPLE WHO COPY!!!

I spent a *long* time making my FL site, i made a skin, i made Graphics, i hunted high and low, i made a date code, i wrote plots, rules, guides, i spent HOURS finding forum descriptions, race descriptions and time lines.

I made it look original. Then you come along.

I've known this person from another site i was on, which closed. Since it closed, i offered him to come to mine, you know, if he needs a place to RP. But hes making his own site. Fair doo's. Only.. hes constantly lurking on my site, as a guest. On msn he whines to me that he wants a code, which he KNOWS i have.

In them situations, i feel pressured, so i shared. What does he do? REMOVED CREDIT. "There not going to see it". It makes me SO MAD!! People took a long time making them codes, and he goes and removes their credit. He removed skin credits too. I think thats damn right irresponsible.

So, i stop sharing codes, since he obviously has no respect.

Next thing, hes asking me to look at his site, hes completed it. So i go to have a look, be a good sport. It looks good until, OH! Whats that?!

YOU NAMED YOUR SITE NEWSPAPER THE SAME AS MINE?!

Oh, so i'm guessing the exact rules to mine also came to your mind? The custom races of mine you stole also? WAIT! What about the pips you stole? OF COURSE I NOTICE!! His site is not even a Shannara site! He took my "Admin" pips and "Moderator" ones, as well as the ones for the races the same as mine, but the others that are his are blank.

I know they where stolen.

ultimatex of this site made mine for me, and i credited them. I can even find the topic where i requested they be made dammit!!! I'm not sure if ultimatex intended for everyone to have them, but dammit they where taken straight from my site! *sorry to name you ultimatex, but i know you wanted credit for the pips, so its pissed me off he took them*

I confronted him about that like the skin codes, since i cant stand people who do not credit. He gave up, and removed them saying i was stupid for crediting. HOW IS IT STUPID? If sombody took somthing i made and did not credit i would be hurt. Specially if i worked hard on them :rawr:

He even took the affiliates in my sidebar and added them to his site as far as i know. But he didn't ASK to be affiliated!! SO WHY HAVE THEM UP?!

He's pissing me off so much!! He even admins 5 other sites, and he cant even do that!! He comes to be all the time on msn asking me how to change members colors, so this, do that, because the admin of the site wants it. WHY ADMIN THE SITE IF YOU CANT DO IT?

He tells people he can, then I DO IT! I feel used, but i feel stupid because i LET him use me! I have no backbone to say no, i'm so frikken stupid.

But honestly, he is not fit to be an admin! I DO HALF OF THE STUFF!!!

He asked me to make a skin. I made him one, and he put it on his site and complained i had made a shoddy skin on purpose to make his forum look bad and mine good. That skin took me a week to make.

Its silly, but i felt like crap after that. It shouldn't bug me, but it does dammit! And now i feel like i need to prove somthing to him, :angry:

I'd be feeling bad, too. This guy not only is ripping off your work and everything but he's insulting it and you.
I really wish I could help with this one, but I have never had something stolen from me. And I have to say, I would be enraged beyond belief. Nothing is worse than theft.

Ripping is just... ugh, it's just wrong! It's like me running to your site and thinking "hmm... yep, i like it. I'll take it all!! >;D " and just... taking it all. Agh, cant explain it x.x but it sucks. *nods*

I know, I can understand that. It's a very selfish, thoughtless thing to do. It shows absolutely no consideration for you and the hard work you put into your site. It shows a complete lack of respect.

This guy was different then a regular a-hole. I knew someone like him. He didn't keep a girlfriend until one actually made him cry. He grew up. No one wants to date a whiny, self absorbed child.

You might consider banning him from your site, and likely IMs as well. It's up to you if the loss of one, and possibly more members is worth it; on the other hand, it would likely cut down on the thievery. Granted, any halfway intelligent person can bypass a ban simply enough, but he doesn't seem like the sort to fit in that category. At least you won't have to hear as much from him after the initial bitchfest!

My god this is awful! If I were you I would be more than just pissed off! I would be FURIOUS! ENRAGED! He stole all of your stuff! It's just so.. *gets so angry that doesn't know what to yell first* :rawr: *decides to therefore shut up*

You...must...ban him and keep him away from all of your sites! And warn your friends about him if they are making some own stuff he could possibly like enough to steal.

Here's what I would do:

1. Ban him.
2. Email him a lengthy rant about what he did, with as much profanity as I wish, considering the fact that if this happened to me, I'd be PISSED.
3. Calmly do whatever you wish to the site, get rid of anything he did, and allow people to take his characters and stuff.

Yeah, I'm brutal, but senseless crap like this angers the Syd.

But i did block him. Probably as far as he will know i will just never be signing online? I'm just sick of everything. I removed all the codes off his site, as well as my skin... *inserted a very ugly 'April 1st' Prank skin*.

After i felt cruel, but i figured it's easy enough to change right? :sweat: Bleh. He's IP banned off my site, somthing I've never had to do before o.O

Thanks for all the support guys ^_^ And don't worry, all the Affiliated he nicked are also removed, since as far as i know he never asked them to be added. I'm not sure if it's wrong or not to just add people's affiliates, but i just thought it was rude? :sweat:

Don't worry, if the ads violate your principles and/or rules + terms of service (or just general things you know the RP community despises with great abount of anger)....you can delete them without feeling any bit of quilt! Believe me! I've done that several times. You should not feel quilt over deleting his ads! NOT AT ALL!

Turning down people's affiliates for no good reason, however, can be a bit rude...but if you have some reason not to add them, then don't. They will remove your button and you'll both go on your merry ways. You could also put a rule in the advertising section that you reserve the right to turn down ads. This way they know it's a possibility and if they want to still advertise, they are welcomed to...but you have warned them that it's not always so self-evident that you will always ad them.

I might be a bit mean but I've deleted an ad just because the board was too ridiculous (It really was, really really was). But I don't see the problem eith that since they first advertised at my place and I didn't post at their place at all...therefore they just didn't get their ad up and neither did I post my ad. It's a tie.

I say you pish upon any trouble you get from deleting his ads! :p *hugs and pats Gowd on the head*
