Difficulty: Literate/Advanced, or if the site itself isn't specifically such, if a good number of the members were.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Vampire. =F
Preferred Rating: pg-13 and up. I want to be able to cuss and not have little **** or something. And while I perfectly understand the whole sexual ban, I'd like it if some were allowed. I understand banning cyber, but I'd like it if some amount of sexual rp was allowed. (like not revolving around sex, but heavy make-out, or even possibly, maybe, if you'd be so kind, sexual scenes that, as long as they aren't too detailed, don't have to be faded to black)
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: I personally hate sites where the activity is so high it's a freaking race trying to keep up (Neopets, for example?) but I want to be able to reply to any threads every day or every other day. So, not I'm waiting for a week for a reply (excepting any events like when someone's on vacation.) And as for member count, I don't mind new sites, but over fifteen members is preferred.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: No time preference.
Other Notes: This is probably the most important.
I'm tired of Twilight, and other cliche roleplaying forums. So if you got your ideas from Twilight, Blue Bloods, Underworld, any Anne Rice novels, etc, please don't put it here. What I'm really looking for is not just any vampire site, but one with creative ideas, and things I haven't seen in the general scene. A plot line is required.
So please, Wow me.

Well, we do happen to have a sub-plot involving vampires and werewolves on my site. It's set in the Harry Potter world, in the epilogue era.

You might like SoN. Shadows of Night is a completely original modern horror setting with Weres, Vampires, Humans, Demons, Angels etc. It is an 18+ game so adult content is quite acceptable, no worries there. I mean, damn, who doesn't associate Vampires with awesome mature content of some sort, seriously? lol
Our plot is very open and for the most part, character/player driven. Players have their side-plots going and intermingle with each other as they see fit and so far, actually, it's worked rather well. xD
But you can also help put together something larger scale if that's your desire, I'm always open to suggstions.
We're fairly small, friendly, non-fast-paced especially since fall college schedules are picking up. So if you can endure the brief slowness, stop on by and make yourself at home. ^^

EXACTLY. And all these vampire sites popping up lately are like... G RATED. >> COME ON? Who doesn't want a little lust with the bloodlust?
And twilight just gets annoying because I'm not a big fan with the series and on top of that the sites all revolve around admins and a couple of people. Which leaves no room for everyone. And on top of THAT, mind you... Who really wants to be a good vampire? Seriously. =F

Seriously. I feel your pain. xD, I'm not much of a Twilight fan myself. I want my Vamps just so, but I also like giving my players the option of bringing in various Vampire species of their own just in case the info on the lists doesn't suit their tastes. lol

It all began in 1692. There was so much death and destruction that families were torn apart, and neighbors became suspicious of each other. Many began to see the ruin humans could cause and fled the countries and cities of their youth in search of haven elsewhere. Some found their way to St. Anthony’s Island and the town of Little Salem.
Those who were considered mythical beings joined together for protection and survival and so began the Treaty of Three, a treaty designed to protect the humans as well as the vampires, the werewolves and the witches.
The rules were simple enough: no harm was to come to any human; no human should ever learn the existence of these groups; and no member of the treaty was to purposely hurt another member of the treaty. Any violation of these rules meant death for all those involved.
Well, strange humans with the hell-bent intention of making myths extinct have begun arriving on the island. A vampire belonging to the more peaceful of the bloodsuckers’ families has been murdered, and found alongside an innocent human. And the Treaty has been broken by the ‘child’ of one of its original creators.
A war has been brewing beneath the guise of peaceful efforts, and things are about to explode. You’re not going to want to miss the next boat to

'I lived in the City of Antigonus, Novus’ager; a medium continent smack dab in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. We were on top of our game; had the sewage system placed under out city with running water and even gas lamp for lighting. Things were looking up to us on our place called home. But if you are reading this then you will notice I said ‘lived’…
Not long ago things started changing; our nights became starless and the wolves in our forest were becoming to come closer and louder in vocals and size. Sightings of large serpent like creatures, bears and even jungle cats were starting to show up at the edges of our City! My god, I though I ventured the forest through enough to know there were no jungle cats in the first place! How did they get there and how are they getting so big?
Then our idea of an apocalypse came; not fast but slow and torturing. Bodies drained of all of their life force; didn’t matter the age or statues, you could be a holy man or an innocent child; we kept finding bodies in the streets after a dark night. Some said psychopathic killers from another continent made it into the city walls as others; the elders of our humble city pointed fingers to witchcraft and things from storybooks and legends like Vampires. Though many laughed in their face… they are the ones laughing now if they made it out of the city.
It came hard and fast when a hurricane came off of the coast; bodies of some of our beloved and faces that had no name at all came from the darkness of the forest and sewers pale as clouds on a sunny day that combed the streets killing some innocence but it wasn’t to feed… no it was their way of luring out the strong to do the same thing they did to the innocent. We had no chance; we had to run and hide. Many went out of city limits and into the forest; but they were fast almost too fast. Many fell from exhaustion to be captured and dragged back to the city but by sunrise the city was sealed off from other escaping.
For the rest of us, we were lost in the wilderness incapable of fending or feeding ourselves. Through our exhaustion and hunger we were found by humans that lived in the forest we thought were hermits. If only we paid more attention. Fera they called themselves; looked, acted, ate and felt like humans but angered or other circumstances, they changed into animals. They aided us to get back on our feet and fight for what was ours in the beginning but most of all they gave us hope…

Hi...
I would have 2 options for you.
1. Island of saints - the advert is posted up by shadow angel. If you are interested pm me, me and my friends have a plot and we might be able to get your character fit in.
2. After the sun sets - Me and a few friends are just getting a site started. We do have 5 members aldready and since we havnt started advertising really, you have to be patient.
So let me know either ways.

How about a Modern Horror setting?
There is no war between lycanthropes and vampires. The were-folk do their best to avoid the night stalkers and the night stalkers do their best to keep out of pack affairs. While lycans rule the suburbs and vampires stalk the high crime end of town, they don’t mingle well. Their separation also allows them to remain hidden- hidden from the basic laws and physics of the one dimensional human world. That’s how everyone likes it and that's how it's meant to stay.
Atleast, mostly everyone. A modern Sherlock Holmes, John Alden is known for solving cold cases and puzzling crimes. It was only a matter of time before the missing persons, maulings, and murders would unearth timeless mysteries. John Alden has uncovered the world’s best kept secret and there’s a legion of supernatural beings that will stop at nothing to keep it that way.
John knows that no one would believe that vampires and lycanthropes exist, let alone commit crimes and murders. He also knows that these supernatural beings could never be incarcerated. But he could deal out his own justice, with help of course. The kind of help from docile lycanthropes and a few vicious vampires, has brought many to justice. Only those who have managed to remain secluded and unpunished are the witches. Their conniving and secretive ways remain a mystery to all, save for a select few who have gained enough trust to dive into their corrupted world.
The witches have remained unscathed in the dangerous city of Aldenville. Until recently. A strange case that was assigned to John Alden would just look like an ordinary woman attacked by a vicious dog while out for a jog to anyone else. But John’s knows better. He needs help to figure out why anyone would want to commit the first witch assassination in years. He needs to find it out fast before the witches turn on the lycanthropes. He needs to find it out before his whole city goes to hell.
Will you be brought to justice, or will you be the harbinger? Or… will you just go on through life without knowing about the supernaturals that live amongst you and others like you? You can only ignore it for so long. Even a young child notices when things go Bump in the Night.
At Bump in the night, there is all sorts of possibilities for plots- from joining in the new order, to taking various high-level positions that remain open, the possibilities are endless. Positions open include Coven leader, Witch Council positions, Pack positions.
We're mildly slow moving right now, but with the devotion of the members already on site, things are definitely looking to pick up. Join in now to get the positions that are going fast!

actually, one of my characters hates anne rice and all of that stuff and i've tried my hardest to stay away from all of that... check us out! this is just a summary of the actual board but there's a full plot out line on the actual board.
[size=1]in london, there is a war brewing between vampires and hunters. the three vampire clans are trying to resurrect the first vampire, lilith. having been sent cast out of eden by god, lilith became the first vampire, the monster in paradise. as the centuries passed, she populated the world with vampires, ruling the world, until one of her own children thought that she was becoming too powerful and took her life but an evil this powerful never really dies. now, all three clans have one of the canopic jars of lilith and they only need the skull of lilith to bring her back. the problem is that the hunters also have one of the four jars and they plan to put an end to the nightmare, once and for all. there is one that knows where the skull rests but he isn't helping anyone. with the one who killed lilith now walking around london, many wonder what will happen with the war and their plans. one thing is for sure, with mortals still in the city as open game for the undead and a war in the streets,

Hi,
I thought I might suggest my RPG Vampire Academy. Although we are loosely based of a school/academy type environment, enrolling in classes is not compulsory.
It is pretty free form, no minimum posting lengths, although the more the better. Not based of a fandom, and if you find it is it's completely accidental. Although it is based around vampires, I will accept any other creatures that you can come up with.
At the moment everyone is posting PG-13, but i don't mind more violent/graphic posts. As long as it has a warning, I don't mind. The only exception is NC-17, is not allowed. I don't mind swearing, but since no one has, I'm not completely sure how it will show up. I'm willing to change it though.
Everyone is friendly, not overly active at the moment, but i am trying to get it more active. The member count is a little misleading, as i require a new account for every character some people have several characters, I myself have 3.
Anyway, I hope you take a look. If you like it, feel free to join! if you don't, thanks for looking.
