I'm going to try and experiment. I'm going to make myself as a character. xD

I'll change the name, of course, but I'll pretty much keep it like me. I'm just curious if I'd get accepted, or if an actual real person might me "unrealistic" by roleplay standards. If I'm going to keep my own age, it can't be high school or Harry Potter, so it'll need to be real life or college.

Hmm... this is going to be fun. :D

I used to have a game on my site where you made a character template which was about yourself but in truth I've never really gone out of my way to play myself. Sometime on the future I might just do it. Good luck by the way, I hope it turns out well :D

Lol, thanks! I'm expecting some strange comments like "dancers can't have asthma!" or "with that many physical problems you couldn't walk, let alone dance & sing!", like I get in real life. :p As I've pointed out, it's the old "suffering for your art" thing. Blood, sweat, tears and pain.

Actually, there's a thought... might try for either really 'advanced' sites (add more! add more! well.... it's me... there isn't more...) or just one of those sites you don't want to be on (sparkles!omgsex!).

Perhaps I'll change the gender - I pass well for a small boy most of the time xD

samaside - me too! I only play male characters. And I go by the name RD because it's a nickname, rather than my real name. So everyone thinks I'm male. Then they add me on msn and it's usually the name of one of my cosplay characters, so they see Freddie or whatever...

Seriously, take a look round and see how many c-boxes contain people referring to RD as 'he'. :p

A loooong time ago on a board far far away, I actually had a character that was pretty much myself (I added a little to the history because I was still in middle school and it was for a high school RPG) and used myself as a PB. It was the only character I had there and no one knew I was actually using my pictures.

It was a lot of fun :]

i was going to experiment something like this, i was going to make a board, well an art school rp where the members play themselves, their applications are pretty their own biographies and they use their own pictures instead of playbys

in the end i never went with it

You'll have to update us as to how it goes. I like the idea because when you think about it not matter how different from you your character may appear, you're still impressing upon them your ideas and experiences. Just watch the documentary, Darkon and you'll see what I mean. lol For my Fantasy RP site I thought it would be amusing if I commissioned a portrait of my friends character that looked a lot like him. Unfortunately, when my members found out they just called him Gary Stu. Gah. Now I feel [i]really[/u] bad because I honestly didn't mean to lead him into that trap.
