So, I moved in to my college apartment and such (the university only has apartments, not dorms), blah blah... I had been assigned an interview day and time from the head of the Tech Support Center on campus; I'm applying to be a computer lab assistant. Well, the interview was supposed to be today at 4:30. I go in at 4:20, and he hasn't checked into the office yet. Turns out, he was supposed to be there at 3:30, but hadn't shown up yet. Maybe he had a reason, maybe not. The man who helped me didn't tell me anything other than "He hasn't checked in yet."
That sucks. Not even the worst part. So, I leave the building and head back to my apartment -- and get lost. I haven't yet explored campus on foot, and I took this really awful roundabout way... Just awful. I'm in a 60s building, and I found myself in the 40s. Crossed the street to the 60s -- only to realize it's not even my apartment complex, but the other complex (the school apartments are managed by two different companies). So I cross another street, thinking I saw my apartment number on one of the buildings. Nope. It's 56, not 66. So I call my roommate, and she tells me where to go. Turns out I wasn't that far from it, but ugh.
All in all, the walk back took me 30 minutes when it should have taken me 10 at the most. I feel so stupid and I feel really crappy now. Ughhh. :[
EDIT: Oh, did I mention it's been raining on/off all day, so the ground is all wet and spongy? And I was wearing heels? I have the worst blisters.
I'm sorry honey. =( The rain today did totally suck too, so I can absolutely get where you're coming from on being mad about having to walk around for all that time looking for your place in heels. >_>
I'd be pretty frustrated if I went through that too. Things will get better once you've learned your way around and get settled in though! Try to look up. ^_^
