Alright, well I was looking at this site, and it was really nice. I was really tempted to join, well, at least until I saw the rules.

They had one rule where you had to use good graphics for your signature and avatar. If it was too bright, or big they would remove it. Now, I can understand removing it if its too big, but too bright? Come on! You can't force people to use graphics that are absolutely amazing! Not everyone is great at making graphics. I can make them, sure, but I'm not the best in the world, and neither are a lot of people that join sites.

Another rule I saw, was about the names you can use. They say to not use something like Emily Smith because its not original! They say to think about colors and places, and to ask someone for help. Now I can understand the asking part, but you can't force people to not use a name that they like! I mean, Tracey Evans isn't exactly an original name either! Gah!

And to top all of that off, they have this LONG HUGE list of canons and they're not even done! They're advertising and their not done! Come on people, don't advertise and until you're done with your lists, or if you can't finish them, then don't put so many! Dang!

Also, I noticed that they're using Kristen Stewart for one girl, and she's dating a person that's using Robert Pattinson. Gee, that's not even original! Lets think some here people!

If I came across that forum, I'd just post this in their cbox: "ha." And then I'd probably leave, knowing that my job was done. Plus, not everyone can get "good graphics." So I'd just get six different pictures, all different shapes, sizes, all bad quality. Then I'd post them in my signature. And I'd use all of the forum smileys in my app.

But what's the deal with the names? Do they want people called Yellow Beijing running around? I can think of a lot of names that would just annoy them, but then I'd say "But your rules say so." Doody Hasslehoff. Windows Macintosh. No Yeslington. I could go on, but I'm bored.

But isn't any name original if you've made it up off of the top of your head? I'm sure there's someone in the world with the same name as me; my name was still thought up at random by my parents though. There was a girl who was going to be called "4real" - that's original, but I'm betting that they wouldn't accept it on that forum. Although the parents weren't actually allowed to call their daughter "4real". I think they settled for "Superman" instead.

I actually found the report. Click here if you wanna look. And according to that, people have wanted to call their children "Satan" and "Adolf Hitler" - another two names I'm assuming would be original, yet not welcome on said forum.

I don't know. These people only just opened it seemed, and all the canons they use are hideous. Not really the PBs being that, but rather, the idea that they pick out how your character is to begin with.

Do the canons have ridiculous original surnames, like the rules suggest?

Some were ones I've never heard of, but I didn't really pay attention.

While I won't ask for the link (haha, you cynical people you XD), I will say that they've gone way too far with their rules. I understand not wanting to have a graphic that is too bright, because I've seen those and it burns my eyes (I have bad vision anyways, so ugh). I think people forget that, yes, not everyone is great at graphics, there are places where you can request graphics. Thankfully, the new style of the 200x200px signatures makes it easy on everyone to make them (you just slap a picture in a box, and yeah! nice siggy!). So I sort of understand where they come from there - BUT, to actually say they will remove it is wrong. That's power abuse right there.

The name is just dumb, sorry. Just completely, 100% dumb.
