So I joined this really wonderful site and decided to play one of the more critical canons. (This was way back, maybe in March or something.) Because the plot was based on a book, and my character wasn't really involved that much in the beginning, I wasn't able to contribute many in-character posts. Since I joined, there's only been one thread where I can post as my character - and that thread only has had a few replies since the beginning. Now they're trying to move the RP along, and because I was never really able to post much in the beginning, posting on that site isn't really one of my priorities anymore. The truth is, I really don't want to be on the site anymore at all. And I'm kind of embarrassed to show up there again, since I feel like I've let the staff down before.

Ughh... I feel so stupid.

In my opinion, this is the fault of the administration for not allowing you to be active right at first. I've learned that if people have to wait, they wander off, so I make it a point to at least offer them RP with my set of characters right off the bat, so that they at least possibly have a starting point. There's no reason, in my opinion, that you should be embarrassed about getting bored when there's nothing for you to do. Just my two cents.
