Hi guys,
A friend and I just opened a site, which she created. We're co-admin, but rather than having an admin account, we have our characters listed as admins. Like, my girl tristan is an 'admin hitman' rather than simply a hit man. we have anonymous members logging in now and then, and i can't see who they are. i've come to learn that i can't see that under her name, because shes not a root admin.

is there anything i can do to change that?

Yes, when you go to "Find/Edit...Character" in the Admin CP, about the third or fourth option down there's a box under the drop-down box where you put people into a group. In that box click "Admin" and it will give you admin permissions without showing your group as admin. It should automatically click "Override Group Permissions" above that box for you. You will have to be on your regular admin account to do this, though.

is it suposed to happen immediately? i did that and it didn't work. maybe im doing it wrong.

i have two characters... tristan and nicolette. i have tristan as a root admin, and nicolette as an admin esposito family. with tristan, I went into the ACP and when to find/edit user, and clicked on the override box with the admin forum mask selected. it didn't work.

i dont know if im doing it wrong or if i missed something but this is frustrating :[

The overide button won't give you root admin override. It will simply open all of the staff only viewable, or admin only viewable forums on the board. The only way that your other admins will be able to see everything the root admin can see is if they are in that root admin group.
