Rain, rain, rain. That's all you will find in a secluded place that houses a very special facility for children of all ages.

Who said there was anything wrong with an all summer, summer camp? But at Camp Ember, no one ever leaves the same, and worst of all, there have been 'disappearances' that happen every summer, but no one ever remembers the missing kids. Suspiciously, everyone forgets about them after the summer is over. So what has been happening to these kids? Who has been targeting them? Is it a mass serial killer, or is it your worst fantasies that has become a reality? I am afraid it is the latter.

Join our first year campers as they enter the gates into a fantasy that none of them believed was real. Experience vampires, werewolves, and the works as you try to stay alive at Camp Ember through the tough, hot summer that is to come. The administration promises you will not leave the same, or you will not leave at all.

But what happens when one kid does not enjoy being bossed around by adult vamps, and wants to step out of line. Will this one heroine be one of the disappeared? Or will she make it out truly alive? Only time will tell. Until then, welcome to Camp Ember.
