Regarding Squirrelsy's reply in the "Worst Pb Choices You've Ever Seen" thread about terrible Comic-book playbys, I agree that there are terrible choices to play certain characters. And it's also pretty difficult to spend so much time just trying to get it right and suitable for your character. So I figured, why not have a thread for suggesting suitable Comic-book character play-bys? It can be pretty difficult for some people, after all (names are sorted in alphabetical order of code-names).

Jensen and Paul were meant for an older Cannonball, more so because a lot X-men sites I see, someone plays Sam as 25+.

I've yet to see a young Sam Gutherie but probably never will since I stopped doing X-men rp. =\

Oh I know. I mean that those two were old even for 25ish. They're both mid-thirties aren't they? If you get Jensen from his Dark Angel days, that could probably work but any recent pics aren't very convincing.

Squirrelsy did say "25+" meaning over twenty-five. I played Sam Guthrie in his thirties on a recent forum; using Paul after a suggestion from the admin himself. But no one can look too old for a play-by; it really depends on what age you want. A thirteen year old Cannonball; obviously not Jensen Ackles.

I spent my teen years playing this game and saw Fairuza Balk as Marrow constantly. I also liked Leelee Sobieski as Wolfsbane, as she had this great way of carrying herself tentatively.

The Chamber suggestions hurt me deep in my little fangirl heart. And why no Billy Campbell as Jamie Madrox? That was who he was supposed to look like back in the '90s. If you've watched The Rocketeer, You Know It To Be True. :D Sure, he's too old for the role now, but t'ain't nothing wrong with using older character photos.

I always use Charlie Hunnam as Cypher/Doug Ramsey. Although I've yet to see anyone else play Cypher ever xD Also, Paul Walker works much better as an older Angel/Warren (not movieverse, obviously). I think Milo Ventimiglia makes a good Pete Wisdom, or Clive Owen as an older Wisdom. Clive could also work as say Sebastian Shaw... I could go on forever haha. Everyone else made awesome suggestions!

The idea of a young Pete Wisdom squicks me. I'm not entirely sure why. Pete Wisdom is ridiculously normal-looking in my book. He's not a part of the spandex set, per se, so the Clive Owen, Gerard Butler and Colin Farrell choices always hurt my pea brain. The game I ran in used Rupert Everett for a dog's age based off an author suggestion. Then I watched Jack Davenport in Ultraviolet and completely had my opinion redefined. So his eyes are the wrong color. Big whoop. He's normal-looking, unobtrusive, and will be able to shoot you in the face if needed.

Saw a drawing of Cable the other day and dang if he didn't look leader guy from Painkiller Jane. So, adding him to the list:
