Title: Problem With Owner

Azubah - August 1, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
Sadly the Owner I work under has become .-. not listening to me I try hard to help him and fix the templates for making rpc's and the like and it seems he doesn't like any suggestions despite that others asiude from me do. Aside from that him being owner he quite often makes npc's that are so great that it doesn't make it fair his own rpc his main one seems to be able to beat my actually hard worked rpc, and he gives himself super abilities while I to have some in my rpc's they are nothing compared to his...I find he is also rather inactive on the forum and hardly gets on and stays on unless another really active member is on at the same time.

I can't say to much simply because I've acted like it once before with making powerful RPC's and the like but I listened and actually found that what otehrs said for sugestions were helpful...But I'm not sure if I should just quit or sit back and watch him kill his own forum...I can't even get him to advertise the forum either he has yet to replace the link on this forrum to the new forum link...despite his setting up the forum I've set up more than him in the long run...messing even with my own Sub-plos for my rpc's its quite sad. Not entirely sure what i should do about it I try telling him but through invisionfree i can do no Admin things liek demote him like he needs to be, and to leave would well I don't really want to I like the other active members a bit and the rp's are fun with them.

I'm mean; I'd let him kill his own forum. If he's obviously not interested in taking advice from you and just interested in making his own characters able to beat everyone else's... what fun is that? He's going to hang himself. I'd let him.

Azubah - August 1, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
aside from me and the owner we have maybe 4 other active people .-. I have no idea why he won't even bother to listen when he's complained about me getting pretty bad on here...but I've been letting it die and I still like it as tthe co-owner I want to make sure it works but i wonder if Invisionfree could shift whom the owner of a forum is but i doubt it...

if you're the only one interested in making this forum work, then i would give up. i've been an ads mod on a site where i was the most active one and i started out as a member and volunteered to help the site but the THREE admins were never on and never posted with anyone but, mostly, one another. so i gave up. i had better things to do than waste my time. it would have been a great site but, if the admins aren't going to be there, then there's no reason in bothering.

you must see my dilemma is that i like the forum I just wish I could boot him out, yet I can't despite I'm part of the root admin group.

I can't get him to move and Make a banner for us infact a regular member apparently did so and he has yet to make a small description of the forum I could present for when trying to make affiliates I like the forum to much to actually want to leave it despite him its a great forum.

I think we all understand your dilemma, we just don't understand why you would stay there. If you are that interested in giving him the boot, why not just make your own forum with all the other co-Admins? The proper thing to do would be to actually talk to him about it. OK, not talk, because this is the Internet, but I think you should round up all the other Admins and basically say to the guy, "Look, bud. You are annoying us a lot. We are all Admins here, not just you. The way you are treating us? Yeah, you're just like a dictator here. Either lighten up, or we'll pull some drastic measures!" (Ok course, the measures part is bluffing, but it may freak him out, and if he asks you what those certain measures are, you could always say, "Oh...we have our ways, young man."). Speaking of young man, this person's attitude makes me thing that he is no 20 year-old. Seems to me that he's under 13, which, you know, is against Invisionfree's rules :/

actually at some point he demoted me when he finally pissed me off because I am able to hack and I have never used it as a threat so really he's on edge with me just because I used to be a hacker...

actually he seems to be a 16 or 17 about my age but I've been to other forums after a year I quit and then ran through forums getting tips on how to be a better admin and the like and when i returned to the forum...well He's prolly pissed because I ruined one of his rpc's lives by accident..

want to see one of his npc's apps?

I stay actually cause the peopel I like only 3 admins one is sick and also became pissed after he was auto hit several times and just up and left with me then I went back with help and solved the entire problem and now this is the problem I'm the only other admin on nearly all the time hoping that someone is advertising but nope.

I would like to have him demoted from teh admin group because he isn't doing anything really helpful we told him to advertise he says sure and then he never does, in fact Soarn the only other admin put in a new skin and coded in a bunch of new features to the board.

Leave the forum and make your own.
Or tell him you'll leave the forum. Let's be honest, if no one is posting, there is no point staying anyway. Find somewhere where you will be appreciated, look at adverts etc.

Silver Wolf - August 4, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
I know exactly where you're coming from. I'd leave. Period. I'd just stop posting. And I'd also start my own RP. I've actually done that, mindyo uI wasn't a staff of any kind. But I, and a group of others, felt the owner of the board was on a power trip and wasn't being fair. So a friend of mine and I just said Eff it and left. We started our own RP, which I've been running for over four years now quite successfully. Mind you, she left a few years ago. But that was for her own reasons which I won't go into. Anyway.

Ya. I'd just leave. Obviously he doens't care neough to listen to you,so why bother? I've come to learn that if you're not getting the recognition yo udeserve, why waste your time?

I agree, leave and make your own. You seem like the sort of person who enjoys taking charge and doing things right (horray for that!!!) and I think that would make you a wonderful candidate for admining your own site. Don't kick a dead horse. Also, if you feel this way I am sure other members feel the same way. If you are good friends with some of them and don't want to leave them behind, invite them along with. There is nothing wrong with inviting your friends, what you have to offer is better and I'm sure they don't want to lose you either!

antisocialist87 - August 6, 2008 02:59 AM (GMT)
Guess it's time to start marching. If you're keeping the site alive, make him want you back. Make him do things to change. If not, he'll be responsible for his site death, not you.
