I am working on a new roleplay which will likely be APC. It is very likely that some of the characters will die because of the plotline and I wondered how other boards handle this, especially if the character in question was the admin's main character. (Meaning the account from which the admin posted OOC and the character most likely to appear in topics.)

Is the account abandoned and forgotten about?
Is it deleted?
Is it kept for OOC chat?

I'm probably going to use the first option for my roleplay, but opinions from anyone involved in a situation like this before is appreciated.

as far as the admin's main account, i would suggest making it an OoC account [on my board, i have my name as my main account and THEN my role playing accounts]

that way, if i decide that i don't want my character anymore or they die... i can just delete those accounts and the administrative threads on the board are still there by the OoC account.

When my char died on an APC board, we just altered it a bit so it says that the character is deceaseced, and I abandoned the account. No point in keeping it unless you're going to keep it as ghost, or for flashbacks.
