So I'm on Tally tonight, floating about in Cbox. Doing my usual prodding of members to post votes for the birthday thing, Jules makes a comment about how she's the only one getting quoted, I say we need more quotes anyway. She's a best friend IRL, so I bet her ten bucks she can't find twenty quotes by Monday.

So she takes the challenge. My co-admin says if she finds fifteen by Monday, we'll turn the board pink for the week of my co-admin's birthday. Those of you who remember the Pink for Pink Day saga back in Feburary will detect a similar theme..

My other mod says she isn't supporting that anymore. No, she wants to fight for her chance to change the board colour. So, it's a race to fifteen quotes by Monday. If neither get it, my co-admin chooses the colour for that week.

So we'll see what happens. But does this sort of randomness happen on other boards? Do you like it? I love this sort of randomness... I'd love to hear some stories from other boards.

Anyway, I love randomness on forums. Once, on a roleplay I started the "Pass the Energy" game where I PMed one member, and the had the energy. They then had to PM another member, and that member had the energy, on and on. It was cute because later on I changed it to the 'NPWPE' Game. No-Procrastination-While-Passing-(the)Energy. :D The member would PM another member, and then they would have to wait until that other member replied. Of course, the other member wasn't allowed to wait to reply, just when he/she first logged in after receiving the PM. Then that receiving member would PM back to the sending one and say that they got it. From the moment someone PMed back to say they'd received it, until they got the same PM back, they were not allowed to procrastinate and had to post as much as they could. It was cute. XD

So yeah, forum randomness, pretty awesome. I suppose that wasn't super random, but I did start it on a whim, and whatever. ^_^

Two words: coconut wars.

LOL We had coconut smiles in the cbox and we had attacks and battles, etc. Then the "mean" mod came after us with her wooden spoon, but she was attacked, so.

Yep, it was fun.

Character chat in the C-box always gets crazy on my board. It's awesome. I remember a few occasions when one of our characters (who adore's explosives) blew up the entire thing and we had literal divine intervention (GM much?) to fix everything.

Oh man, we have lots of crazy ICness going on in the chatbox. Especially between two really big characters. It gets amusing.

One thing I've started doing, that I think I'll continue with, is putting up funny/nice banners between the header and board. One was about being proud of the members, the newest one says "Remember: friends don't let friends not join RAGE". I've already got plans for the next one, might even let the members choose some slogans to throw up there. Because I get bored, open photoshop, and weird things happen.

There also seems to be a lot of pant-less discussions... ><
