Title: Hmm. Something Different.
Description: Feedback = <3

Basically, I'm sick and tired of the same genres and want to make something unique. It would be APP Based; Every member would only have one account. Under that account, they could roleplay as many characters as they wanted. The only limitation would be that for every female character they make, the next should be a male. There would be absolutely no canons. I am tired of dealing with them.

I was thinking of having it be set in a town, whether it be real, fictional, or a mixture of both. I am undecided on that. I was also thinking of having a short informative story, rather than a long plot everyone had to follow. This would allow more leeway with the members and characters. Also, no subplots; Again, more leeway.

I have no ideas on the actual story or location. Anyone have any thoughts they would like to add? It really would be appreciated.

I like the APP and the as many characters as people want thing, but to be honest, towns are overdone.

I agree. Why not set it in a cave system, or on an uninhabited (or inhabited) planet? Or in the sewers of a major city. Or in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. Or in a poor logging town in Brazil.

I like the APP thing. But it all just sounds like a normal RP. Sorry to point that out. But Rhi-Rhi's games are like that, except that she has no restriction on how many females you play. But she has no plot, just a background, and there are no staff set up subplots. You'll have to find something else if you want to be unique.

What about applications? Will you have those?

Hmm, that's a good idea. I was also discussing something with Rhi-Rhi earlier; Maybe something set in the Victorian era. I think that would be interesting. And yes, we will most probably have applications. :)

I was also thinking about a multi-genre board too. It would be a completely different thing than the Victorian one..then again, that could be a genre on this one. Hmm, I shall have to ponder on that one.

Thanks for your opinions, Dec and Emma. <3

I would like something like that. I haven't been on a one account board since my first RP -reminisces- However, I would have an impossible time with your particular site because I suck terribly at playing male characters. I've played two my entire RP career (ten almost 11 years if I include chatroom, neopets, and Gaia) and I only NPC'd one. The other one I play because he is a canon, and he was needed on a site I played. And even then, then only way I can kind of get in character for him is through getting into the character of his wife/significant other and typing from her point of view as to what she thinks he'll do....

God that is a hard character for me to play.......

Anyway...back to your point. I think multi-genre would be an interesting way to go, given the fact that it was moderated correctly. I'd like a chance to play the same character in a couple of different genre's without joining fifty bajillion sites and having to meet new people and find your way through a clique... ugh...

 I'd pick up the slack for people. I play 99% male characters anyhow, so yeah.

However, my personal opinion yet again: there are lots of Victorian RPs, too. At least, I hear people talking about them a lot. :innocent: I really like Emma's suggestions.

Ahaha. I'm almost the same way, Dec. I play a lot of male characters.

I've just been doing some research on the Victorian Era and don't really want to get into the political part, but more of the culture, entertainment, etc. They also had festivals/celebations, as well as different holidays. I'm thinking about having it set around 1891. Queen Victoria would possibly be dead, so no one could play her. I have my reasons for this xD. Edit: Unless someone wanted to play her old.
    January 6: The Epiphany.
    March 25: The Annunciation.
The Three months after Easter: The Party season.
May 24: The Birthday of Queen Victoria. 1819.
    May-June: The Picnic season.
    June 24: Midsummer.
    August: The End of season.
    September 29: St. Michael's festival.
    December 25: Christmas.
There would also be Theatres and such because Operas were very popular back then. There were also other means of entertainment such as music, drama, gambling, drinking, and prostitution. So we could have Casinos as well. As for the Prostitution, I would have everyone fade to black on that. I also may have an area for mature threads, but those would only be viewable by actual members, and everyone would know what that area was for. That way, there was no one 'accidentally' stumbling upon it.

Ooh, I just read that there were also parklands, as well as hypnotism events. Completely unrelated, I know, but still. -snicker- Ha. Apparently, the 'hypnotism' events were paranormal ones where you could communicate with the deceased. o.O -unsure about this-

There were also railways and..sewage systems XD. We could have railways, but I couldn't imagine the sewage systems being used. Feel free to dispute this, however XD.

People could also play Doctors and/or Surgeons if they wanted. Surgeons didn't wash their hands back then, resulting in many illnesses and/or infections. That could be interesting. Also, people could play children if they wanted. Children under ten had free education, and some went to work in factories. Child prtection laws were passed, but I'm unsure of which year. All Wikipedia says is 'The Victorian era became notorious for employing young children in factories, mines and as chimney sweeps. Several Factory Acts were passed to prevent the exploitation of children in the work place.' -shrug-

Now, I shall get to reading other things, while you all read this novel. -snicker-

I think it is always a great idea to do something new and switch things up. Differences are what makes sites unique and stand out, hence getting more members who are curious to try new things. Either it works out and you do great, or it doesn't and you learn from the mistake, switch things up a bit, and continue recruiting. It definitely sounds interesting, though!

Thanks, Scarlett Kala! It interested me enough to start working on it a couple of days ago. ;)
