So how many of you guys play this game?

Probably better in the gaming section.

At any rate, I have never played this game. I have GH III, which I really like -- *gasps* Miss Murder <333 ! -- but I have never played Rock Band. I really want to play the drums on it.

However, I just don't have the resources to purchase it. Can you use the same guitar for GH III for Wii?

Edit--*headesk* Rock Band isn't for the Wii, is it? Well, I have a PS II, also.

I absolutely LOVE Rock Band. It allows me to live out my true destiny, that of being the front woman for a kick ass band in which my friends and younger sisters are the band members xD

That is, without quitting my day job in which I actually make real money.

GH III is awesome too, although I do like singing Say It Ain't So more than I like playing My Name is Jonas.

I got Rock Band for wii, it just recently came out and I really think it’s a fun social game to play.
The drums are fun, but I’ll be the first to admit that my arms get really tried after a long run.
My friends and I now claim we have a ‘band’ even though it’s only in our heads. :D

It will be very soon. The game isn't out for the version, but the guitar and stuff is..

as for the compatability note, I have no idea. For the XBox 360, you can, but for the PS3 and PS2, you must buy the Rock band guitar to play the game.

To .Ra- heh, My friend and I switched roles. He got to be singer and I got to be drummer. I have more stanima and rythem than him, but he simply cannot get the pitches right... so, I made our Band Motto: "We will be remembered"
which is a shortened version of my quote, "We will be the worst band ever, but we will be remembered."

I played this at my friend Sam's house for her birthday. Yeah. I was getting over strep throat but I sang anyway. I scored really well, but no one could hear me. :]

I'm awful with the guitar and drums. Awful.

I frontman an expert band, which is srs bsns to the point that we don't use the standard instruments -- a real actual electronic drum kit with a modded true bass pedal and raised hihats, a mic stand, the works. We are waiting breathlessly for the modded Fenders to be available so we'll have real actual guitars. :D

I have rockband for the xbox 360 also it is great with all the songs that they have, but they should have more songs from classic bands like the who.

Wow... Mic stand. I need one of those. that way I can sing and guitar (or drum depending on the circumstance)

I played it for the first time the other night. As far as the instruments go, I think I prefer the guitar that came with my GH III to the one with Rock Band, though I loved the drums (my skill in that area leaves something to be desired, mind >.>), and thought the mic was a nice touch.

Dec, as far as purchasing it is concerned, do what I do and wait till the fall - both RB II and GH IV are slated to come out then, and both have the drum and voice peripherals.

Hooray for comparisons of songlists and additional features before I actually shell out a couple hundred dollars! <33

(If I'm spending a bumload of money and can only have one, as my room's too small for two sets of instruments, I'm making damn sure I get the "better" of the pair!)

Luckily, the instruments between games, as long as they're for the same platform, are totally interchangeable (ie your GH World Tour for XBOX will work just fine on RB2, but not if your RB2 is PS3).

I beat Solo singer on Medium Now to work my way up to hard mode and hopefully expert. need to practice more on my timing and pitch on those unfamiliar songs.

I find that listening to the songs continuously on repeat really helps. The people around you might get annoyed, but it definitely works!

From what I've heard, that's only the case for the Xbox version. Wii owners always get screwed over >.>

I played Rock Band for the first time the other day and it was AWESOME. I got stuck on drums for the majority of the time me and my friends played (I'm not saying drums are bad, i'm just bad at drums) but this happened because only one of the four of us can actually sing and he was the one who owned the game so was the good one at playing all the instruments. However the game is awesome like I said before. I would buy it for myself but there really isn't a point unless you have people to play with often.

I have guitar hero 3 too which I beat (on easy... my pinky has issues) and that is a wonderful game too.

Yeah, the 360 is the only game system that allows you to use your GH guitar with Rock Band. I AM THANKFUL! I hate the guitar to RB. The strummer sticks and the buttons are loud and annoying.

BUT YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! *throws trash can* ROCK BAND TWO!
