X-Men: Eclipsing Binary is an X-Men movieverse rpg. We are canon-only, though, so if the character your friend wants to remake is an OC, I'm afraid we wouldn't be the place for him (or her, as the case may be).

We could be exactly what said friend wants! :p We're a Dark Angel RPG, so we are fandom based, but we're exploring a season that never happened, so we stray from that a fair bit, I think. Hopefully that doesn't bother anyone. :p
We have mutants, genetically enhanced soldiers, and humans. We're set in 2020-2021, so we're future, and very modern. Check us out!

A few short weeks after the siege at Jam Pony, the Transgenics are living freely. With their own fort and a bio-hazard sign to stop trespassers and the mobs, they can finally spend time in the light, lapping up the sun, or the life, they always wanted.
The scene is set for a happy life, unbroken by those who hunt them, but they know that can't last forever. As news spreads about the Transgenics and their nation, more and more angry citizens are getting involved. Transgenics from all over the country and cropping up and joining in the fight.
However, agencies sent to abolish them are depleting, as they realize the job is just too large.
Max is running the nation, with help from Alec and those others who stood by her. Just as things started to look up, their new world seems to have come falling down around them. What will they do now?
Their freedom will not come easily, but with the help of their friends new and old; the Transgenics will fight through to the end.

APOCALYPSE HAS HIT NEW YORK CITY.
in 2009, the government launched a supposedly safe program to get rid of excess radioactive waste.
they started with a very small amount, containing it in an airtight pod to be sent up into outer space. the program was successful, and the pod made it past the atmosphere, to float in space forever, hopefully finding a the black hole on the astronauts' charts.
however, it took only a large meteor to smash into the pod 20 minutes after the initial arrival into space, the radiation was rained over new york city, not enough to cause complete ruin, but enough to alter its inhabitants. all citizens of new york were ushered into planes to be taken to other cities and towns, never to return to the Big Apple again.
however, the accident had lasting effects. in 2040, the sons and daughters of the new yorkers during the explosion had become....chemically altered. parents were shocked when their 14-year-old son could move earth, or their daughter in high school could learn any language within a few seconds. the government got involved again, establishing the Facility to contain the mutant children.
knowing no other option, the children fled to new york, using the new travel technology of the year to get to their new home. the government did their best to follow them, designating Seekers to hunt down the mutants and bring them to the facility. parents would never see their freak teens again.
now it's 2060, and new york has been divided into groups of Rebels and Loyalists. Where will you stand in this divided world?

Heya, Mana4X2 is a well over four-year-old, welcoming, PG-13 rated X-Men RPG, accepting canons and original characters. Rest assured at least one of the Admins is on at some point every single day (that would be me, btw ^^), and we are about to embark on a major site wide plot that everyone is getting psyched about.
So, here's hoping you join in time to add that little bit extra to a plot that is already panning out to be the best one Mana4X2 has ever had... so far. Lol.

Your friend may be in luck, because Imaginary Heroes just might be what they're looking for. We're a strictly OC based board and encourage members to think up their own character back stories and generally let their imaginations run away with them. Plus, it doesn't matter if your friend hasn't watched Heroes before (and if they have and are a fan, even better!)
