Title: Need A New Rpg

Craz - July 24, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
Genre: Looking for something with a fantasy tone to it
Difficulty: Anything would be appreciated.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Generally anything of fantasy. But please, something beyond just "one race" and humans.
Preferred Rating: Probably something that's for grown-ups. If a RPG can't accept stuff like that people cuss, get into nasty situations, and that life has some darkness to it, I'm not interested.
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: I'm not interested in sites with a lot of members. I'd prefer a site with less than twenty members.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Preferrably, I'm looking for something set in modern-day Earth. I will look at other periods in history, but nothing medieval.

Other Notes: What I'm looking for is a site that's in a modern setting on Earth. I'm not looking for Harry Potter, Stephenie Meyer, or sites with "secrets"(for example, characters of the supernatural are not allowed to discuss the supernatural with mortals). I'm not looking for a vampire v. hunter v. werewolf site, and I'm looking for a site with flexibility as to races that people can play. I will look into canon sites, with the exception of the aforementioned.

Howdy. It sounds like CtS is just for you, as we're set 70 years into the future from now and have dragons, mutants, and hybrids as playable characters, including humans. New races can also be suggested along the way of course~ Currently we have a good 10+ members and are coming back from a server problem. The site isn't open to new members YET but once it is, I will certainly let you know. Hope to see you there!

Fast-forward to the next generation.
The world; it lies in ruins. A shadowed shell of what used to be.
Humanity struggles just to exist, forced to the bottom of the food chain.
Trying to find a new way in the world.

We were battered and broken.
Dragons rule the earth; beautiful in their strength.
They have taken us from the skies. Reigning down their vengeance,
leaving us to pay the price for our ancestor's sins.

Saved by our own mutations.
Some wonder if it was better to live as the lower class or to just die.
To be turned into weapons, no more than slaves to the psionic lords.
To live a life that is not yours to live.

We have what you're looking for, I think. We're a mature rpg, though our rating is PG15 just because we're on invisionfree, and I don't want to be shut down for pornographic scenes, but we might as well have an R rating.

The only thing is that we are medieval-esque, but people don't live in castles, or anything of the sort since it's not earth, though it isn't really sci-fi. So, while there aren't guns, there was talk of discovering or inventing gun powder. Either way, give up a look, if you'd like. If not, I understand.

Oh, we also have less than 20 members, as we just recently reopened.

This is not Earth. There is no savior here, and no one will bleed for your sins.
But they will bleed because of them.

This is A Rage Against Godhood.

Welcome to the Isles of Shorelanei, a realm, a world, created by the torturer of the damned. Upon these shores many have come to rest; the lost seraph of heaven, the first murderer of man, and wandering demons of the abyss. Their children now populate the Isles.

The Demon-Blooded, who were first born.
The Children of Caine, who came second.
The Celestial-Blooded, who were last to be created.
And the Half-Blooded, whose weak lines are a mockery to the pure of blood.

Yet these descendants are not as great as their forefathers. Petty jealousies and hate have harden their hearts against one another. And when the creator of the Isles is exiled by an ambitious schemer, their world became an ocean of strife and uncertainty. Every day brings new hardships and changes, every event affecting even the most distant of people.

Here, it is all a matter of perception. There is no way of telling which path is right and true. With only your heart, and perhaps your faith, to act as your compass, there is no knowing where you might be led. You can only hope that it is not astray and to the brink of total annihilation. Unless, of course, that’s where you want to go.

It is up to the people as a whole, and not a prophesized hero, to save their world from a bitter end, or destroy a new beginning. Can blood be put aside and these four lines join forces to make a stand against all odds in a world where gods wage war?

How will you shape the future? After all, all beings were created with free will.

Fantasy myth & religion based open-ended forum rpg.
Rated PG 15 for violence, language and adult content.
Now accepting applications. Canons available.
Intermediate to advanced role play.

Aha, another person who may be interested in WFSM :p It's a magical school, not based on Harry Potter although the earlier versions were so there may be some similarities. It's mostly just for humans with a magical power, kind of like on Charmed.. But we do allow 'creatures' as well, as long as they can be cloaked as Humans, and as long as they don't take over.

No applications required either, if that makes any difference :)

A WISH FOR SOMETHING MORE
YOU’VE ALWAYS KNOWN YOU’RE DIFFERENT

All your life, you’ve been waiting for this. All your life, you’ve
felt like you belonged somewhere else. Somewhere special. But
you’ve never understood why. And when you get your letter, it
suddenly all clicks into place.

The Excalibur Institute for the Magically Inclined

Not what you had expected, but it confirms the fact that you are
destined for something different to what you’ve had so far. Your
parents are contacted by the teachers, who say they are from a
prestigious boarding school which you’ve just won a scholarship at.

They can’t understand your abilities, anyway.

You don’t understand them either, do you? That’s what school is
for. It’s hard anyway, with screeching hormones that cry for
attention, but you have to protect your secret. You have to learn,
pass exams, and make sure nobody ever finds out who you are.
What you are.

You’re a danger to the real world while you have no control over
your gift, so you must learn to control it. You have the support of
those around you – adolescents and teachers who all share the
same secret – but what do you do when those around you are
struggling just as much?

You’re on your own, isolated in weird unity, with
a wish for something more...

Squirrellsy, I've already taken a look at your site before, and wasn't really that interested.

pathogenicoma, As I said in my original post, I'm looking for something on Earth-and I'm looking for something in the modern day. And I said no medieval.

missmossx, Sorry, but it didn't really catch my eye.
