Elenlond...

A land of mystery, beauty, and power.

In recent times there has been some upheaval as those of the free lands - known as both the Scattered and the Middle Isles - begin to fear the power that the deities exercise over the two main continents, Esiria and Soare. Although no god has endeavoured to conquer the free isles, the people still fear. And there is talk that some have formed groups in Esiria and Soare in support of removing the deities, those who invaded their homeland.

The deities did not choose Elenlond, although they certainly named it. After their original homeland, Mianor, imploded on itself and the world began to devour its own entity, the gods gathered as many of their surviving citizens as they could, pushing them through the largest of the rifts that had begun to form in Mianor. There they travelled, weary from their travels, uncertain of their future.

This time was known as The Great Migration.

It lasted for many weeks - perhaps even months; few kept journals of their journey, and many perished along the way - but eventually, there was an end in sight. The people of the old land plunged into the new and it was named Elenlond. Once they were settled, the people could only breathe:

Our Celestial Haven.

Elenlond has been around for several years, although it recently underwent renovations. Although we sport 60+ members, we are looking for active, dedicated people who will join and help activity to blossom. Our members are friendly, chatty, and we love new people. So, if you're interested, by all means join! We'd love to have you.

We're just a fantasy site. Though there very well could be schools people shunt their brats off to live at, you never know. We're an original game, based on old myths and religious facets. Intermediate to advanced, quality over quantity, welcoming, and have a PG 15 rating. We're also pretty small right now, since we just reopened a little earlier this month. Hope you come for a look, at least.

This is not Earth. There is no savior here, and no one will bleed for your sins.
But they will bleed because of them.

This is A Rage Against Godhood.

Welcome to the Isles of Shorelanei, a realm, a world, created by the torturer of the damned. Upon these shores many have come to rest; the lost seraph of heaven, the first murderer of man, and wandering demons of the abyss. Their children now populate the Isles.

The Demon-Blooded, who were first born.
The Children of Caine, who came second.
The Celestial-Blooded, who were last to be created.
And the Half-Blooded, whose weak lines are a mockery to the pure of blood.

Yet these descendants are not as great as their forefathers. Petty jealousies and hate have harden their hearts against one another. And when the creator of the Isles is exiled by an ambitious schemer, their world became an ocean of strife and uncertainty. Every day brings new hardships and changes, every event affecting even the most distant of people.

Here, it is all a matter of perception. There is no way of telling which path is right and true. With only your heart, and perhaps your faith, to act as your compass, there is no knowing where you might be led. You can only hope that it is not astray and to the brink of total annihilation. Unless, of course, that’s where you want to go.

It is up to the people as a whole, and not a prophesized hero, to save their world from a bitter end, or destroy a new beginning. Can blood be put aside and these four lines join forces to make a stand against all odds in a world where gods wage war?

How will you shape the future? After all, all beings were created with free will.

Fantasy myth & religion based open-ended forum rpg.
Rated PG 15 for violence, language and adult content.
Now accepting applications. Canons available.
Intermediate to advanced role play.

Here's a magical students boarding school.. It's kind of like Harry Potter, mixed with Charmed, mixed with some sort of soap opera drama xD It's not fandom based, but there are similarities. There's no application required, and we welcome people of all roleplaying levels, beginner all the way up to advanced. We're all pretty friendly.

It's a little slow lately, but that's just because a few of our members have gone on holiday for a period of time.. So hopefully when they get back it'll pick up a little again. Until that happens, if you do join, I will be happy to roleplay with you, just to get you started. My accounts are ferula crockford and wakanda jane collins.

A WISH FOR SOMETHING MORE
YOU’VE ALWAYS KNOWN YOU’RE DIFFERENT

All your life, you’ve been waiting for this. All your life, you’ve
felt like you belonged somewhere else. Somewhere special. But
you’ve never understood why. And when you get your letter, it
suddenly all clicks into place.

The Excalibur Institute for the Magically Inclined

Not what you had expected, but it confirms the fact that you are
destined for something different to what you’ve had so far. Your
parents are contacted by the teachers, who say they are from a
prestigious boarding school which you’ve just won a scholarship at.

They can’t understand your abilities, anyway.

You don’t understand them either, do you? That’s what school is
for. It’s hard anyway, with screeching hormones that cry for
attention, but you have to protect your secret. You have to learn,
pass exams, and make sure nobody ever finds out who you are.
What you are.

You’re a danger to the real world while you have no control over
your gift, so you must learn to control it. You have the support of
those around you – adolescents and teachers who all share the
same secret – but what do you do when those around you are
struggling just as much?

You’re on your own, isolated in weird unity, with
a wish for something more...

In the mists of time, long before Saetan was called to make his legend in the realms, wearing the darkest of jewels, the Black. Long before he used that power to rub the entire territory of Zuulman out of existence. Long before the coming of the most powerful witch to walk the realms. The dark weaving of Mother Night calls you from the comfort of the Darkness to bring you forth into a world of light and conflict.

In the glaring Light you see edges and differences that had no meaning in the Darkness, differences in race and social status, leading to conflict with ones self, your neighbors, sometimes all the world. You have been born into a world where violent emotions of hate, fear, jealousy and anger, especially anger, can erupt for the smallest offense.

You are Blood. Mother Night has given you more, a caste and the ability to wear a jewel. Your caste and jewel are yet more means to differentiate you from your peers and bring more hate, jealousy and delicious anger. Yes delicious anger, for your jewel can channel your anger into power, power to strike your enemies and power to frighten your friends. It is indiscriminate, cold, and dark, the darker the more powerful and frightening.

Simply by being Blood you are dangerous to all around you, everyone sensitive to the chill in the air that announces one of the Blood tapping into the dark depths of their jewel. It is the calm, cold, still moment before all that anger and dark power erupts upon the world in dark violence destroying all that are not protected by the power of an even darker jewel. There is no jewel darker than the Black. When Blood wearing Black go cold all you can do is summon your courage. There is no place you can run to, no one to whom you can pray. You have to summon the courage to take the anger that fuels the Black away, to lead the Blood gone cold from the killing edge.

It can't be all anger, hate and conflict that the Light offers, for Mother Night could not be so cruel to call you to a world so harsh as to offer only pain. The jewels gifted to the blood respond to, enhance and violently manifest all emotions not just the destructive ones. Blood will sing to Blood, jewels will sing to jewels, lords will sing to witches and Princes will sing to Queens, the darker the Blood and the jewels the more violent the passion and the more beautiful the song.

What will be your song? Will be a song of pain full of the wild notes of war, conflict and death? Will it be a song of celebration strong enough to stir the ancient hearts of the dragons still rumored to live in the realms, thanking them for the gifts they bestowed to the Blood? Will it be a song of sorrow, a keening howl or mournful dirge, deep and dark enough to blunt the edges and ease the anger? Will your song call to all the Blood of the ages resonant with a violent joyful power, transformative to all it touches and born from the deepest love?

Somewhere a weaver of dark webs calls the silken strands of joy, pain, sorrow and celebration left in your passing and the passing of all the Blood. Black strands of the darkest power fitted one to the other into the darkest web, forming the shape of a dream, and one day that dream will be made flesh, calling Witch to the realms.

Welcome into the world. Welcome to the Darkest Web.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Darkest Web is a mature, advanced role-playing board based off of Anne Bishop’s Black Jewel Trilogy. In a time of blood and tribulation, we are forging our own tales about the men and women that make up the Blood Race. Romance, war, and scandals fill up the pages of our book as we tell the stories of those that could become legends. The Darkest Web has been an active board for two years now, and we plan on being around for many more to come. We have wonderful administration team and very active players. We are always looking for new players and new ideas. We would love to have you.

Darbyville Academy is a school unlike any other. You won't find a normal soul here since normal is a word that's hardly used within these walls. It's not unusual to see someone flying down the corridor at top speeds or hear the snarls of a were-wolf at night. There are vampires, zombies, mutants, angels, demons, the works... even some creatures that no-one knew existed. Basically if your not normal then you can go here and meet with people like you... people who are different... people who are unique. That's the reason why it's called Demon High by nearly everyone who go there... and even by people who don't.

***

But it's not always been rainbows and sweet dreams. A few years ago, the school was attacked by a radical mutant group who called themselves the 'Friends of Humanity'... even though they were nothing more than savages. They kidnapped students and attempted to force the school out and away from all the 'normal people'.

...but messing with the students of Demon High is a bad idea.

A group of students led by one boy teamed up and rescued the hostages before blowing up the whole of the FOH's base, leaving nothing but bad memories and a pile of smoking charred rubble.
The school was back to normal but not for long, since the Mutant Seperalist Foundation came along and started to brainwash students into commiting crimes. Once again, Demon High came forth and saved the day before blowing up yet another evil group's base.

***

It's been about a year and so far no more radical groups, crazed people or all around morons have tried to attack Demon High or cause any trouble. School is back to normal and the students are happy... elder students are moving on and either getting jobs at the school or leaving whilst a newer generation of students are coming into the school.

Infact, a school ball was held to greet students both new and old. But good things can't last forever and soon the students are going to face up to even more difficult and darker adversaries. Adversaries who fight not with technology or guns... but with magic.

Demon High is going to face it's toughest challenge yet, alliences will be made and backstabbers will emerge. Can Demon High emerge victorious? Even with the heart-breaking cost?

Otherwise known....as Demon High

Welcome to the Steampunk world of Legend Makers.

The former King was lately found to have died of natural causes at the age of 35. Predicted cause of death was heart failure. Unknown to most, the result of his kingship's death was from a large quantity of Foxglove in his soup, which in small doses is classed as a drug used to aid those with weak hearts, yet large doses can prove fatal.

Following the death of the King, his child Alexander the III has taken up the role of monarch at the young age of 7 years old. Due to his age and inexperience, the Church has offered their services in helping run the Kingdom temporally until his 16th birthday when he can take his rightful position in the political world, seeing as his knowledge of the political world and faith will be up to acceptable standards.

Unknown to the public, the Church has lead the continent for the past 100 years by pulling such stunts similar to this one:

Monarchs have been used as political puppets, to be used when useful and discarded when posing a threat, much like the former king Alfred the IV. His Rule was cut shot due to a few outcries on his half against the Churches current place in the political world, (unaware, every decision he ever took as King was moulded by the Churches very hands). This lead to a momentary laps in the peoples respect for the Church. The Puppets strings were quickly cut away, opening a position for a new monarch, a new face for the church to hide there scheming behind.

Have you ever wanted to play god? Do pesky people annoy you so much you just want to kill them in a spectacular way? Well now you can! At Meddling Immortals, a literate RPG, we give you the chance to do just that. You can visit the towers of Jahata, the coral cities of the Mer, the steaming deserts of Gath, the eternal revelry of Silviv, and even some strange planes that defy imagination. And you can do it all without worrying about every robber or sword-swinging hero that comes along. If they annoy you, just kill them!

Why can you kill with such impunity, you ask? How? Because you are half-god, half mortal, that's why! As an immortal demi-god, you have power wizards dream of when smoking poppyseed oil. Not to mention that every human is NPCed. They're practically meant to be destroyed!

Let your dreams (yes, including your nightmares) come true at Meddling Immortals!

If you're still looking:

Meliora doesn't have a boarding school, but it's a very interesting fantasy RP (medieval-esque) with countless opportunities to get involved and be creative. If you're a fan of the fantasy genre, you'll probably be able to really enjoy yourself there. We've got a long list of accepted races, a few "canons" that need players, a secret mages' guild, and a deity system that allows members to take positions as a deity, priest/priestess, or mage. Our level of writing is intermediate+ (200 word minimum, but it's not strictly enforced), and the rating is PG-13+ (threads containing excessive mature content must be labelled). Meliora is not new by any means (I joined in '05), but I took over management in May and it has gone through a major renovation. There are currently about 20 friendly members (not all of them extremely active, unfortunately), some with multiple characters.

. . .There Are Many Paths to Tread. . .
In a land governed by royalty and divinity, how will you choose to live? Will you devote your life to your deity, serving them as a priest or priestess? Will you live independently, giving up the protection of the divine? Will you reside within one of the cities of the eight under the watchful eyes of the god you trust? Are you one of the extraordinary who can earn the right to share in the powers of the gods as a mage? There are many choices to be made, for in Meliora, all things are possible.

. . .The Power of the Eight. . .

Long ago there was a battle with the mighty Leviathon that changed Meliora forever. The greatest mages of this time joined their power to destroy the Leviathon, but paid a great price. They perished. Their power was lost, but the land was restored. Years later, individuals from across the land began displaying powers greater than those of the mages that restored Meliora. They became the eight deities of fire, water, earth, air, day, night, time and fate. Since then, some deities have come and gone, but the spirits of nature have chosen others to rise in their places. The Eight are the most powerful beings in Meliora. Your fate is in their hands.

. . . Nothing Lasts Forever. . .

Meliora has prospered for many years, but all good things must come to an end. The Leviathon proved that tragedy can strike when it is least expected. It is only a matter of time before peaceful Meliora is, once again, shaken to the core. Will you be the change you wish to see, or will you step back and watch as others control your destiny? Even the smallest person can change the course of the world. Every soul counts.

Join us and find your way. . .

It all began in 1692. There was so much death and destruction that families were torn apart, and neighbors became suspicious of each other. Many began to see the ruin humans could cause and fled the countries and cities of their youth in search of haven elsewhere. Some found their way to St. Anthony’s Island and the town of Little Salem.

Those who were considered mythical beings joined together for protection and survival and so began the Treaty of Three, a treaty designed to protect the humans as well as the vampires, the werewolves and the witches.

The rules were simple enough: no harm was to come to any human; no human should ever learn the existence of these groups; and no member of the treaty was to purposely hurt another member of the treaty. Any violation of these rules meant death for all those involved.

Well, strange humans with the hell-bent intention of making myths extinct have begun arriving on the island. A vampire belonging to the more peaceful of the bloodsuckers’ families has been murdered, and found alongside an innocent human. And the Treaty has been broken by the ‘child’ of one of its original creators.

A war has been brewing beneath the guise of peaceful efforts, and things are about to explode. You’re not going to want to miss the next boat to

A Marauder Roleplay
Based on Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a school of magic for those between the ages of eleven and eighteen. Thousands of students call this castle their second home, and with the extensive grounds, it is not hard to guess why. Some are returning, some are beholding it’s wonder for the first time, but all are still stunned by its high walls and sky skimming towers. However in all their souls they know one other thing that makes them so eager to reach the castle. It is now the safest place on earth. Lord Voldemort’s reign of terror has struck fear into the hearts of many, ripped families apart and is still spreading at an alarming rate. Almost every night the dreaded Dark Mark can be found hovering over a new dwelling and the violence is getting worse.

user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image

Everyday the newspapers are filled with more disappearances, more murders and more tales of horror and pain. Everyone clings to their loved ones in hopes of keeping them safe, some have even stopped their children returning to Hogwarts for fear they won’t be safe there either. Yet inside those high walls the teaching continues. The Staff are trying to make a special effort to run as normal but with more students receiving news of their parent’s deaths or kidnaps it is an up hill struggle. To everyone it seems every morning another black envelope is dropped into a lap. However there is one group of people not changed by the outside world, and intent on keeping things the same. The Marauders. Everyday it seems another stink bomb or minor explosion erupts in the corridors and the mood began to lighten in response. The halls of Hogwarts were once more filled with laughter and the happy chatter of teenage gossip as tension eased after a few weeks. The letters even seemed to stop for a few days at a time. The students in Hogwarts convinced themselves they were safe and focused more on their studies whilst their loved ones fought for their lives outside, after all it was hard to think of a war when an indoor fireworks display had just erupted in front of your eyes.

But are they truly as safe as they think? It appeared not so when a scream rang through the air one night, cutting off after a few seconds. Staff and students alike sprung from their beds and raced towards the sound, only to be greeted with a sight that make most want to turn away and pretend it was a bad dream. A body in Hogwarts. It was a small girl, a first year they discovered later, a muggleborn that had been struck down with an Advada Kedavra curse. Terror once more spread and everyone was advised to travel in packs, to not be alone, for the Hogwarts body had a murderer in it’s midst. Despite an investigation the crime was never solved and this has made it all the worse. Now everyone of non-pureblood is terrified of being the next victim. No one is safe inside or out of those walls. Everyone is clinging to threads of hope that are disintegrating with everyday and even the light mood of the Marauder's can't completely ease the tension now. Someone will be next, the question is who?
