We started in Rent fandom, post canon, but in the past two years, we've developed into an RL game based in New York which happens to have the canons from that fandom running about. . . You don't need to know a thing about the musical or the movie, since the characters are just characters, nothing more. We're grown up, decent writers, and friendly as can be. Have a look. Hello Draco! I joined this RPG, and it's great! It's modern times, the present.A real life forum. The staff are friendly, and it's a small community (18 members). It does have humans, not vampires:
after the success of the real world, mtv has decided to do something new, something huge! so the producers got together, and soon one of the producers revealed that he had been cheating on his wife, and they were going through a divorce. this confession led to the new show. "that's a great idea! the show could be called tell me your secrets!" at first, no one really liked the idea, because it was too big, but soon everyone knew it was going to be a huge hit. the producers sent some people out to every state in the united states, and hold autions for the new show. soon, they found people, and the show was soon made. the show was set to be made in los angeles, were they built a huge mansion, and called it the secret chamber. they did give credit to the people working with harry potter for the name, of course. so, now, everyone's in this huge house. boys and girls. oh, my bad, men and women. they are in this huge house. there's going to be some fights and even some romance. but everyone in america is wanting these people to *tell me your secrets

I won't consider us a "smaller forum", but most definetly an active one with room for the more odd characters - as long as they 'fit' our board setting and plot :)

The Lord of Darkness, Dracula, rose from the dead once more in the year 2007 – and he rose with just one thing in mind. Revenge over the God who denied him death so long ago. Now, in 2008, the Dragulian Empire is for the first time truly expanding, and even more after both all of Africa and Australia submitted to the Vampire rule... and with the help of blood from a witch born with Dracula’s blood – Charlotte Heller, granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing – the Vampires are rising like never before, even able to have children, and walk in daylight. Dark Desires is inspired by the movie Dracula 2000 (but not the sequels), but also referring to many other myths about the greatest living vampire of all times. It is a good idea to have seen the movie, but not a requirement.
Join us in the new dark times, that are certainly increasing – be a part of the new world which our Lord of Darkness, and King of the Dragulian Empire, is trying to create. Okay, so I'm not entirely too sure how old this "Dexter" is, but I thought I'd throw in my board for the fun of it. Besides, you never know. ;)
This is Camp December, a summer camp for youth ages 11-20. We have all sorts of cool activities planned such as campouts and campfires and big games and all of that fun stuff. So far we're pretty small, but we're also knew; we opened about a week or so ago, and today is our first day of camp itself being open. Please check us out. :pink:

we've got LB. it's a smaller forum based around vampires that also offers the chance for you to play a human.
in london, there is a war brewing between vampires and hunters. the three vampire clans are trying to resurrect the first vampire, lilith. having been sent cast out of eden by god, lilith became the first vampire, the monster in paradise. as the centuries passed, she populated the world with vampires, ruling the world, until one of her own children thought that she was becoming too powerful and took her life but an evil this powerful never really dies. now, all three clans have one of the canopic jars of lilith and they only need the skull of lilith to bring her back. the problem is that the hunters also have one of the four jars and they plan to put an end to the nightmare, once and for all. there is one that knows where the skull rests but he isn't helping anyone. with the one who killed lilith now walking around london, many wonder what will happen with the war and their plans. one thing is for sure, with mortals still in the city as open game for the undead and a war in the streets,

It’s a vampire RPG set in 2017. Don’t let the date get you though, it’s mostly modern. There isn’t any hover cars or holograms or anything. We have humans and vampires for you to play. The vampires are separated by the rather human loving Vegans and the more “monster-ish” Malkavians. The Malkavians merely feel that since they’re obviously cursed, why not live up that curse instead of walking on eggshells around the entire human population. Most of them are kinda brash, and contrast deeply with the more soul-fearing Vegans.
We are a small forum as well seeing as our member count is only 20 something. We’re rated Mature simply because I don’t like censoring myself or my members. I think that’s all. Any questions or concerns, hit up the cbox. Usually there’s always someone online to chat with or help you if you need it.
Oh! And here’s the advert. ^_^ hope to see you around the board.

Her pained eyes stared off into the darkness, though they were attracted by nothing. She was in a trance-like state that Benjamin had placed upon her. She did not object or resist his touch in any way, and Benjamin raised his pale hand to her face, running his fingertips along her tanned cheek as her arms moved around him. His other hand moved to pull back her hair, exposing her beautiful neck. He bit his lower lip in anticipation as she held onto him. Her pulse echoed in his mind as he gazed at his target. He could feel it. He could hear it. The blood which flowed through her veins by the constant, rhythmic contractions of her broken heart. He leaned forward, pressing himself into her bared neck as she voluntarily leaned her head off to the side. His cool lips kissed her, nipped at her, and finally bit her. His fangs plunged into her fragile flesh, piercing her jugular and eagerly swallowing the metallic tasting substance as it freely flowed into his mouth. The woman didn’t flinch. She didn’t react at all for that matter. She remained silent and docile; her head perched on his shoulder as he continued to feed on her. He greedily consumed the woman’s blood, her plasma, her life. Her grip around his waist weakened as he gorged on her blood like a gluttonous beast, and finally there was nothing left of her grip at all. Her hands dropped limply to her sides and her knees buckled, standing only due to the powerful grip Benjamin’s single arm still held around her slender waist. He released her once he finished draining her of a majority of her blood, her body falling to the dirtied ground beneath them. Now, as she lay dead before him, her perfection did not falter or waver in the least. The healthy peach color she held in her cheeks faded away until her tone matched that of Benjamin’s paper white complexion. She was like a porcelain doll, and now, within those dead eyes, all feelings of grief and sorrow evaporated. Of course, he had not killed the girl out of pity. What was once his heart had died long ago, and any such feelings along with it. He was a predator now. No more, no less. He emerged from the alleyway, the bright streetlights stinging his sensitive eyes. He cursed under his breath, so high from the rush of the hunt that he didn’t ready himself for the momentary shock. He sighed, raising his hands and rubbing his eyes in irritation until the stinging sensation subsided. The body remained deep in the alleyway, hidden amongst the garbage and shadows. We'd love a Dexter-ish character. We're set in an AU Gothic Victorian France, and I have a feeling he'd be right at home with us! We've got some canons from musicals, but they're not very central to the overall plot.

In recent years, it has been overshadowed by its southern sibling, Hollywood. The true residents of San Francisco know, however, that their beloved city really is the true Californian dream. A dream that no one understands better then the students at Adia Academy, San Francisco's most prestigious boarding school. The students accepted at Adia Academy are all different. They all, however, have secrets, scandals, and a whole lot of growing up to do before they enter the real world.

So what happens when a scandal erupts through the elegant marble halls of Adia Academy? Hell breaks loose, and the staff will do anything to it cover up. If you think covering up a teacher-student affair, drug smuggling, grade buyoff's, drunken parties, and the biggest school rivalry since Princeton vs. Harvard is easy, well, then you've got another thing coming. Now what kind of scandal could possibly be so horrible as to turn the city's most educated young people into savage animals...?

Thomas Firestone was the school's unofficial mascot. He came from the wealthy Firestone family, his grades were impeccable, and he was a friend to everyone, a handsome young athlete, the perfect boyfriend, and a great brother. He was the guy everyone looked up to and wanted to party with. So why would someone so perfect want to take his own life? On March 23rd of last year, Thomas Firestone was pronounced dead in his family's Hampton vacation villa. The cause of death was announced as suicide the next day. His family was pulled into utter turmoil; their whole lives changed forever. Thomas had left all the people he inspired day to day with nothing but questions, and no way of finding answers. Or so they thought.

Rumors had been flying around the school before his death about a secret affair he was having with a certain married art teacher. Seeing that it was Thomas, no one believed it, not even his beloved girlfriend of three years. Still, it left the school unsettled and without notice to the students, the art teacher was removed from faculty. No one had the need to look into the accusations. Why taint a student’s name whose death had already done so much to the people around him?

As a new year starts the school is still masked by the death. Much like the city itself, each student's mind is covered with a thick fog. Everyone has questions, and the faculty is still attempting to cover up the dirty little secrets that Thomas left behind. The secrets that where right under everyone’s nose the whole time. Havoc has been breaking out recently, as people look for someone to blame, they just can’t deal with the fact that Thomas’s life was taken by his own hand. The students are trying to press through daily life without that great smile of his. Between his girlfriend, siblings, and best friends there is enough sorrow to cover the entire Golden Gate Bridge and tie it with a bow.

Rumors had been flying around the school before his death about a secret affair he was having with a certain married art teacher. Seeing that it was Thomas, no one believed it, not even his beloved girlfriend of three years. Still, it left the school unsettled and without notice to the students, the art teacher was removed from faculty. No one had the need to look into the accusations. Why taint a student’s name whose death had already done so much to the people around him?

As a new year starts the school is still masked by the death. Much like the city itself, each student's mind is covered with a thick fog. Everyone has questions, and the faculty is still attempting to cover up the dirty little secrets that Thomas left behind. The secrets that where right under everyone’s nose the whole time. Havoc has been breaking out recently, as people look for someone to blame, they just can’t deal with the fact that Thomas’s life was taken by his own hand. The students are trying to press through daily life without that great smile of his. Between his girlfriend, siblings, and best friends there is enough sorrow to cover the entire Golden Gate Bridge and tie it with a bow.

at 10pm and last all the way till 3 in the morning. When you get a project, you can forget
about doing some lunchtime shopping or going for a short holiday on an island your collaegue
bought. You are stuck with the same people day in day out for the next 10 months.
But you would rather be in work than out of a job. The fame and the money that comes with
it --- priceless. Suddenly everyone knows your name, and all your school enemies are calling
you up to "chat".
Except happy endings are stories that have not finished. You wake up one morning and you
find dozens of hate mail stuffed under your door. You open the daily newspaper to find your
16-year-old face staring at you with a headline that says, "DIRTY SECRETS HE KEPT FROM
FRIENDS". Your so-called best friend is giving interviews to OK! and Hello!. The film
you starred in is postponing its release date. The television drama you were supposed to star in
drops you. All of a sudden your career is non-existant.

Coincidently La Push teens seem to be hitting extreme growth spurts attracting more attention to the region. Modern day giants I believe is what they’re calling them. Who could guess the odds of that?
But there are some who aren’t as thrilled as the others among those at Forks. They absolutely hate the sudden population rise. These are the ones that understand what’s really going on. How all of the human’s are in a more extreme danger than they could possibly imagine.
The vegetarian vampires and werewolves must now team up to protect the humans at all costs. Which path will you take? Will you help defend Forks and protect the innocent? Or will you fill you own selfish needs? Either way…

The Charmed Life
Living life in a shroud of secrets isn’t easy. Especially when the biggest secret you’ve got is that you have magickal powers and a war between good and evil is a never ending conflict between witches and demons.
In the massive city of Chicago there’s a life out there that very few can even start to imagine; a life full of potions, spells, and magick that an everyday person can’t see, or chooses to ignore. With a battle like this raging in our streets how can we possible live regular lives? No one expects anyone to be normal, but this abnormality is a wonder in itself.
Now in the height of magical growth and in the infancy of this new millennium there is a new generation of witches, warlocks, demons, white lighters, dark lighters, and cupids. Sure most of them are trying to just get by but many are trying to change the world; for the better or even for the worse.
Chicago is a jungle, a war zone of traffic, pollution, culture, and art, but this… this city is where magick is our reality.

It all began in 1692. There was so much death and destruction that families were torn apart, and neighbors became suspicious of each other. Many began to see the ruin humans could cause and fled the countries and cities of their youth in search of haven elsewhere. Some found their way to St. Anthony’s Island and the town of Little Salem.
Those who were considered mythical beings joined together for protection and survival and so began the Treaty of Three, a treaty designed to protect the humans as well as the vampires, the werewolves and the witches.
The rules were simple enough: no harm was to come to any human; no human should ever learn the existence of these groups; and no member of the treaty was to purposely hurt another member of the treaty. Any violation of these rules meant death for all those involved.
Well, strange humans with the hell-bent intention of making myths extinct have begun arriving on the island. A vampire belonging to the more peaceful of the bloodsuckers’ families has been murdered, and found alongside an innocent human. And the Treaty has been broken by the ‘child’ of one of its original creators.

We could be what your looking for. We are a Buffy The Vampire Slayer RPG though, but honestly you don't really need to know much about the events of the show and anything you do need to know is already explained in the plot due to its AU nature.
I Wish Buffy Summers Had Never Come To Sunnydale
It was with these words quite trivial ones really when you think about it that Cordelia Chase unknowingly changed the entire world forever more. You couldn’t blame the girl no not really, how was she to know that her anger, her hurt from her ex-boyfriend Xander’s betrayal was strong enough that it lured Anyanka the patron Saint of scorned women herself to the small town of Sunnydale and that Anyanka had disguised herself as a new student called Anya? No she couldn’t, but dearie regardless of blame thanks to Cordelia mistake of wishing for something so life changing in front of a Vengeance demon the world is changed forever more and now everyone is going to have to deal with the consequences. Well Cordelia certainly had to face the consequences of her actions when shortly after being plunged into a new Sunnydale without Buffy Summers she was killed by Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris. Two of the most dangerous disciples of The Master, yes that’s right The Master, Wait didn’t you already know? Well I guess I am going to have to go back and explain a little bit about this new world.
The change began about two years ago with The Harvest. You know that feast in The Bronze by The Master’s vessel Luke which was designed to bring him back to power with the strength Luke received after each feeding, the one which was stopped by Buffy Summers. Well without Buffy living in Sunnydale The Harvest was successful and in the eyes of The Master the night of his glorious return. Ah yes many of the horror struck teenagers who spent that night at the bronze watching as many of their fellow classmates were killed can still remember watching as their killer suddenly collapsed leaving nothing, but a pile of dust in his place. Oh yes you see what the Master didn’t tell dear Luke was that the final ingredient for his return to power was the life force of Luke himself. Needless to say the crowd ran from The Bronze as quickly as possible. While they were running deep beneath the streets of Sunnydale The Master finally left the mystical church he had been trapped in for the past seventy years. He instantly claimed The Bronze the place which lead to his glorious return as his home and after several days of conflict forced any supernatural opposition in Sunnydale to accept him as their leader.
So life in Sunnydale slowly but steadily changed over the following two years. Though The Master never directly attacked the human leadership in the town with the frightened teenagers telling their parents what had occurred that night in The Bronze and the subsequent rise in the amount of deaths in Sunnydale though the adults didn’t believe the cries of Vampires they instead believed that their worst nightmares of gangs invading the town had come through instead. This was only confirmed in their eyes by all teenagers above a certain age completely changing their dressing style so that they only ever wore duller colours such as grey or black. In direct response to this they tried to control the situation by introducing a number of new stricter policies all students below the age of eighteen were to return to their homes straight after school. When home they would be allowed to leave for a few hours but had to return by nine PM sharp. Anyone who refused to comply with these rules was considered to be apart of these gangs and chucked out of their homes. Thus began the new social structure in Sunnydale with authoritative parents using this change to their advantage, whilst more liberals one allowed their children to stay out as late as they wished.
And now we find ourselves two years later at the point in which Cordelia Chase created this world. Shortly after her death as we all know Rupert Giles attempted to summon the vengeance demon Anyanka while Buffy Summers the slayer at the time went to face The Master at The Bronze. However as we all know Buffy was unsuccessful and was killed by The Master thus marking the end of the most promising slayer since well Nikki Wood. However what you probably don’t know is that Rupert Giles also unsuccessfully managed to persuade Anyanka to change the world. Easily overpowering him with the Supernatural strength granted to her as a vengeance demon she decided to spare the mortal so as to not leave a trail back to her, but instead wiped his and everyone else’s memory in Sunnydale of hearing Cordelia speak about the real world thus extinguishing the one real hope of returning things to how they once were.
Meanwhile halfway across the road in Jamaica shortly after the death of Buffy a new Slayer Kendra Young was chosen. She was a quiet girl, one who would easily follow the orders of the council without question, however her tenure as a Slayer was cut terribly short as after only a few days she was brutally killed by the Vampire master Kakistos. This death resulted in the activation of a unpredictable, but powerful new Slayer named Faith Lehane. After only two months of training she has been shipped off to Sunnydale under the orders of the watchers council to deal with the threat of The Master and with luck kill him once and for all. However at the same time The Master is reaching the final steps in his plans of opening the Hellmouth and returning the old ones to the world to reign once more. As a result he is summoning all members of his order The Order of Aurelius to Sunnydale including the Vampire master Spike, Drusilla and Darla.

Plot/Story:
The setting of this RPG is the school of Mount Horizon (located near Vancouver, Canada), which is a boarding-type of school for troubled teens. The premise of this RPG comes from a show by the name of Higher Ground, starring Hayden Christensen and A.J. Cook. Though the show only went on for a year, there are many fans still out there, that are growing each passing year with the increasing popularity of the show's star.
In this RPG, we attempt to re-create the feel of the show, with the emotional drama, love-lives, and everyday real-life problems that the kids on the show faced. Students at Horizon deal with issues such as:
- Drug Abuse
- Sexual Abuse
- Verbal Abuse
- Self-Mutilation
- Eating Disorders
- Neglect
- Grief
- Abandonment
- Depression
- Etc.
Stats:
The board's been up and running for almost three years now (the first site, Healing Waters, ran for over a year, and this continuation site has been running for well over a year and a half). We curently have around 120-150 some characters on our board, and it's always active, with 10-12 people usually on throughout the night. This rpg is almost like an online home to many, and we don't plan on leaving anytime soon. And, unlike most high school rpgs, this rpg can be at a comfortable and active pace; it's definitely not rush-rush or dead at any time.
Also, unlike most rpg boards, this one will not end within a months time only for a new one to spring up in its place. Due to the success of the board’s lifeline and the dedication of its members and advanced writers, please only join the site if you’re thinking of giving us a chance and staying with us if you like the place.
About the School:
Mount Horizon is basically located far away from the rest of civilization. The school is surrounded by a seemingly endless vast of forest and mountains, so it is quite secluded. There is a neighboring town close by, Agnes, where the locals live. Along with Horizon’s staff, there are also regular townies in the Agnes section of the board, so you can also just play a resident if you like. Also allowed are students, graduates, counselors, and just about any other type of (human) character you want to play.
As for the students, each one is placed into a group, and each group has two-three counselors who run it. The counselors may have one-on-one meetings with the kids in their group, hold group meetings or go out on a group hike (though it’s not required, and the last two don’t happen very frequently). Each group has their own cabins, for boys and girls respectively.
Other Notes:
There are only basic guidelines to follow; we aren’t uberly strict on the board, but we feel that we’re running it well enough to have lasted this long and still have many of our original members with us.
It is not required to have watched Higher Ground to become a member of the board, just read the rules and guidelines!
