Title: An Original Rp

Klomonx - July 20, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
Genre:
Its a bit hard to say exactly what genre this would be; but what I'm looking for is a RP where one could play as a character from any story, not just Harry Potter, not just Twilight; but any character from any story a person could play as. But please, no school Role plays.
Difficulty:
Intermediate; will settle for advanced if its the only choice.
Type(s) of Creature(s):
Humans
Preferred Rating:
Nothing more then PG-13
Preferred Number of Members/Activity:
Active-at least 5 active members
But;
If the Admin is still willing to keep the close to dying forum open, I'd join that too.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in:
Any

Other Notes:

Elenlond - July 21, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
Well, I definitely won't be allowing Elenlond to die, and we do have at least five active members right now, although they don't all post every single day - we've all got lives outside of the internet. We're an original medieval fantasy Rp, rated PG-13. Our word minimum is 100, so we are intermediate. If you're interested, please check us out =)

Elenlond...

A land of mystery, beauty, and power.

In recent times there has been some upheaval as those of the free lands - known as both the Scattered and the Middle Isles - begin to fear the power that the deities exercise over the two main continents, Esiria and Soare. Although no god has endeavoured to conquer the free isles, the people still fear. And there is talk that some have formed groups in Esiria and Soare in support of removing the deities, those who invaded their homeland.

The deities did not choose Elenlond, although they certainly named it. After their original homeland, Mianor, imploded on itself and the world began to devour its own entity, the gods gathered as many of their surviving citizens as they could, pushing them through the largest of the rifts that had begun to form in Mianor. There they travelled, weary from their travels, uncertain of their future.

This time was known as The Great Migration.

It lasted for many weeks - perhaps even months; few kept journals of their journey, and many perished along the way - but eventually, there was an end in sight. The people of the old land plunged into the new and it was named Elenlond. Once they were settled, the people could only breathe:

Our Celestial Haven.

Elenlond has been around for several years, although it recently underwent renovations. Although we sport 60+ members, we are looking for active, dedicated people who will join and help activity to blossom. Our members are friendly, chatty, and we love new people. So, if you're interested, by all means join! We'd love to have you.

200 years have passed since the immortals were sealed away. In the generations to follow, they exist only in tales to amuse the children of kingdoms such as Tortall. The country's capital, Corus, is filled with citizens from all walks of life, each living, from day to day, as well as they can manage - some more legally than others.

The palace is abuzz. Not only has one of the Conté princesses become betrothed, but her Carthaki fiancé has come to Corus – for all that the wedding is half a decade away. With him have come banquets, balls, a tournament, and scores of newcomers, from courtiers to slaves. Not all of the visitors, however, have arrived to wish the couple well; any good spy knows the best time to move in.

Too, mages bring bad news. Suggestions of a poor harvest come autumn leaves city residents unsure which would be worse: higher taxes in order to pay for food imports, or a winter starvation. With such uncertainty in the air, many have begun to turn to the Court of the Rogue for help – but at the moment, the Rogue isn’t the happiest of places, either.

Outwardly, the country is at peace. Inwardly, though, old prejudices die hard. While the war with the Yamani Islands has since ended, the Yamani who make their home in Corus still face residual bitterness, making a hard life even harder. Word of skirmishes along Tortall’s southern border reaching the streets has the potential to create another public enemy, Mithros slay any resident who suggests the true enemy might lie within the city’s walls.

In a place such as this, everything can change at a moment’s notice, and never shall any day be ordinary in
CORUS

Hiya.

So, I can offer you my two sites to consider. The first, Beginning of the End, is Lost site that keeps pretty close canon. It's the typical plane crash, island survivor story following the storyline presented in the television show. It's an intermediate site, for the most part.

The second site, The Fated, is less canon. It's still based on Lost, but will probably end up being more character driven, and I've added an additional character element. It's also more advanced. Here's a brief summary:

There are inexplicable events in life that change our path in huge ways, and more importantly, change who we are as people. The Fated is a semi-canon roleplay that depicts the way in which the livees of a group of strangers are altered and interwoven, when fate intervenes. It is an intermediate-advanced roleplay based on the television series Lost, and takes place on an undiscovered island in the South Pacific.

If you're interested in either, give their respective banner a click in my signature. Happy huntings!

Perhaps CtS will be to you're liking? We play PG-13 and up but mature threads are always tagged and forewarning. We have other races besides humans but nothing really extreme. It's more of a fantasy/sci-fi. Hope to see you there. =)

Fast-forward to the next generation.
The world; it lies in ruins. A shadowed shell of what used to be.
Humanity struggles just to exist, forced to the bottom of the food chain.
Trying to find a new way in the world.

We were battered and broken.
Dragons rule the earth; beautiful in their strength.
They have taken us from the skies. Reigning down their vengeance,
leaving us to pay the price for our ancestor's sins.

Saved by our own mutations.
Some wonder if it was better to live as the lower class or to just die.
To be turned into weapons, no more than slaves to the psionic lords.
To live a life that is not yours to live.

How do you feel about a medieval fantasy board that is highly active?

Hi Klomonx,

I think we may be something you'd be interested in. We're based on Harry Potter but we're non-canon, so virtually any character could fit in.

The Black Pullet is an AU HP set in Magical Ireland in 1969. We are made up of humans and werewolves (and one half-goblin), but we are open to any creature in the HP world. As stated, we have no canons; we've simply borrowed the magic and ideas from HP. We have all original characters. Harry et al. don't exist in our world.

We have an evolving plot and a dark grimoire that is its own character. The political climate has gotten ugly and people are heading for our prison, Hackballs Cross (it's a foul, nasty place). Things are gearing up for dark times and no one knows where they're going to end up. Alternately, there are plenty of sub-plots and threads that are more fun.

We are advanced but without the attitude. We're not going to get bent out of shape over some typos or patchy grammar. We are ‘R’ rated, but sex threads are not on the main board and only the writers themselves can ever read them.

Frankly, I think we have a lot going for us, but I believe that one of our strongest features is that we're a friendly, welcoming and open group. You can ask any questions in the c-box or PM one of the admins. You can also PM me here.

You can click on my signature to take you there. Thanks for giving us a look!

Well, we don't have a lot of members right now, but we can grow, and we're fairly original, at least, I haven't seen any other Final Fantasy 10 RPGs. :D

We're PG-15, but the most we allow is swearing and violence. We have humans, and a few other Final Fantasy canon races, like Guado, Ronso, AlBhed, etc.

It has been three years since Yuna, Rikku, and Paine saved Spira a second time, stopping Shuyin from firing Vegnagun and returning Tidus to the land of the living. For four years, Spira has seen the Calm, a time of peace in Spira. This is thought to be the Eternal Calm.

But some things are not as they seem.

Seymour is back, and he is more powerful than ever before. Having bonded with Sin right before Yuna could send it, he has become the New Sin. Around this time, people began to see pyreflies in the Ocean...Callie, a player on the Zanarkand Abes, is found off the coast of Luca, with blond hair and strikingly similar eyes, she begins the search for her twin brother. Meanwhile, Braska, Auron and Jecht have been returned to Spira, they have both been given a new lease on life, and plan to make full use of it to help defeat Sin.

Seymour is in Yevon, convincing the heads in charge to have him as Maester again...

Spira is going to change. Who will you side with?

In this eclipse, do you side with Power, or with the light? Yevon or the protective Summoners? The choice is yours.
