Title: Your Favorite / Most Interesting Couples
Description: romance is in the air <33

Sunday - July 19, 2008 04:16 AM (GMT)
What are your favorite, craziest, most interesting, and/or most unexpected couples from RP? Original, canon, whatever!

I know I've had some really crazy ones, but those were a while ago so I can't remember the details. XD These are the ones I'm currently playing. :] (Strangely, all three of those couples are with the same girl. LOL.)

30-year-old male movie star falls in love with 18-year-old boy prostitute. Sexy.
Ethan is a ridiculously successful and rich 30-year-old movie star - think Brad Pitt, but younger. He's insanely good-looking and extremely famous, and as a result, he has no private life. And he's in the closet. No one knows, save for some of his trusted staff (manager and such), and the few guys he'd slept with in the past. So one day he meets Caleb (my character), an 18-year-old Starbucks barista, and sleeps with him after swearing him to secrecy. It's a one-night stand type of thing, but he wants to see more of him. Yeah, because Caleb was that good. However, he soon figures out that Caleb is actually pretty well-known in the celebrity circuit; to put it bluntly, the boy's pretty much a slut and the actors just keep quiet about it. Ethan is pissed, but he's sexually frustrated too; he and Caleb make a deal: Ethan will provide Caleb with everything he wants (he has a $5,000 allowance - per day!), so long as Caleb remains monogamous and doesn't tell anyone about the arrangement. They fight and bicker a lot - at the beginning, they don't even really like each other. But now, after various dramatic things, they seem to be one of the strongest, most faithful couples we've ever had.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that their age really plays into this. Caleb is still a teenager, which Ethan tends to forget; and Caleb also overlooks the fact that Ethan is a 30-year-old man, which has interesting consequences. And they're both extremely selfish. Fun times. They're my favorite. <3
Jasper/Edward from the Twilight series
Bella chooses Jacob and Alice foresees Jasper and Edward together, so she breaks it off with Jasper. They're so dramatic and angst-ridden, because they're both torn up about their previous relationships; plus, Edward hears whenever Jasper thinks of Alice, and Jasper can sense whenever Edward's feeling jealous or irritated and whatnot. They have no privacy with each other. Which is fun.
Oh, and I also have a twincest line. It's cute. But that's all that makes it crazy. Twincest!

EDITS~ I just thought of another one.
"Boring" Premed/Crazy Hippie Girl
This was done with another player...
Theodore (that's my girl) is a modern-day hippie... type person. She doesn't believe in modern religion or medicine, insisting herbal remedies can cure whatever ails ya. Her family is the same way, but a little more fanatical. She meets a boy whose name I don't remember in an airport, and they click right away. But then it turns out he's a premed student from a strict, straitlaced, Irish Catholic family. Hilarity ensues when they fall in love and have to deal with their families and individual values, which don't mix at all.
So how 'bout chuuu?

LOL Those are really amusing.

My friend and I have had quite a few couples, but one of my favorites is this super preppy girl whose family is rich and bla bla bla. Anyway, she meets this guy who's background is really messed up and who has two personality disorders.

It's fun, especially because the guy's older brother is completely docile but the girl's older brother is a rather antagonistic panzy, and since the families don't like each other, they argue a lot. xD

Another one of my favorites, done with another friend, is a pirate captain and her first mate. They'd known each other for eight years before realizing they were in love but they fight all the time over every little stupid thing and it just makes me laugh a lot.

SmathNa - July 19, 2008 05:02 AM (GMT)
Revolutionary serf and ambitious noblewoman; you'd think it a bit cliche, but it really isn't. She's very practical, he's completely idealistic and very impassioned, and their relationship has disturbing undertones of violence, much like Ayn Rand's 'The Fountainhead.' He gets viciously angry at her for her status and occasional blindness to injustice (and, since he was abused as a child, he has a bit of an abused-become-abuser complex), and she has too much pride to admit to being wrong in anything she does. At the same time, she's compassionate and genuinely tries to help him, and he's madly in love with her, for whatever reason (including her sincerity and intelligence). We joke that it's 'pride and pride,' because that's the main obstacle to their relationship.

...

Some incest. It's fun because it's incest. What more need I say?

I don't do much romance, and that first isn't really that original, but it's how it plays out. They won't end up together; she's getting married, and he's going on with his political plans. But it's interesting psychologically.

Katgirlxx - July 19, 2008 05:23 AM (GMT)
Oh, oh, oh! Pick me!

I have a bunch xD

Party girl & Depressed ex-Med student

Probably THE most unlikely seeming pair of people, EVER, but also my favourite RP couple of all time (well...so far xD) They met one day in the park, and the depressed ex-med student told the party girl a story. It was long and convoluted and didn't make much sense, but they parted without sharing names. Party girl was intrigued. And, as luck would have it, board events pushed them together again in the midst of a crisis, and love bloomed. And it was glorious and adorable and awesome.

And then ex-depressed ex-med student got shot.

Happy endings!

Angry!girl & supercalm guy
My second favourite pairing is my all time favourite RP character FINALLY getting with someone who's pretty sweet (in almost all her incarnations, she gets pretty screwed over in the relationship department). She is...reckless, and bitter, and full of anger, and he is...also full of anger, but it's repressed. So he's kind of calm, actually, and is the type of guy to hold back and assess the situation, whereas my girl is the type to charge headfirst, willy-nilly, deal with the consequences later (partially because he is a human, and she is...mostly human, with a healing factor kind of xD). They both share the same sort of sarcastic humor, so the running joke is that they will grow older and even more sarcastic together. They actually balance each other out pretty well; he keeps her calm and forces her to think a little more, and she lightens him up and makes him laugh. Neither of them are particularly romantic either (she forgot their anniversary and the ONE time he handed her flowers, she had no idea what to do with them), which makes their cute moments all the better. Forest make outs, yay!

annnnnnd I'm sure I have more, but I'm extremely exhausted xD

Angel-girl - July 19, 2008 05:23 AM (GMT)
Insanely hot former drag performer and awkward librarian
My most interesting couple to date is my Jolie who is completely transsexual, and has GID (Gender Identity Disorder). She passes remarkably well--that's her PB in my sig-- but is neurotic about anyone seeing masculinity in her at all. When she was a teenager, she was a highly sought after drag performer. She'd literally screw anyone who'd stop moving long enough(very low self-esteem), then toss them aside (she didn't even trust them enough to take them home). Much against her better judgement (he had to follow her around for months), she is now madly and deeply in love with Eli, a geeky librarian with whom she was planning to repeat her usual pattern(grab him, take him in the bathroom, screw his brains out, and leave). Well, for some reason she decided that she wanted to take him home this time and pretended she couldn't carry her dog's food all that way to her apartment. When she tried to get him into bed, he said no way and left, which kinda made her question her attractiveness and sent her self-esteem into a tailspin. A couple of days later, she showed up at his work and took him to dinner as an apology for trying to get into his pants, and dontcha know? It worked out ;). Of course when he first told her he loved her about two months in, all she could say was "Don't." She was positive she'd completely ruin his whole life. His mother hates her because she'll never give her any grandchildren and she'll never get to plan their wedding. Jolie still panics when she thinks how long they've been together (More than a year real-time and RP time), and she still worries that he's going to wake up and realize that they can't get married and have kids and all that, but she's stupidly happy all the same. Every so often she does something epically(is that a word?) stupid which hurts his feelings because she isn't always aware that others have feelings to hurt, but so far, they've managed to work it all through. I loves them :)

Bloodlusting Pirate Hunter and Innocent Noble Lady
This has definetly been interesting to explore, and it's also how I met one of my best RP friends - we ended up creating a board together. My pirate hunter was 28, turned on by the sight of blood and loving women, and she was 18 I think, a daughter of a merchant whom he tried to seduce. But on the first night they spent together, they actually only slept and nothing else, which made him want to try to get her again. His attempts became worse and he had to do more and more, and he ended up falling in love with her and her with him. Now they're married, although she's not very fond of the fact that he loves to kill and so on, and he hates that she has male friends. So we know that although they're together now, they'll still have an interesting and stormy relationsship. Sadly we've not really got time for this couple anymore, because of our own board.

The Heirs
Definetly my favorite couple, I am such a shipper for this couple. My own male vampire, created to be heir to the throne, and another male vampire, son of the king. First they were after the same woman and were rivals, but then they actually met and my guy already knew he was a bisexual. First he would not admit to himself he liked the other, but their first meeting ended with an intercourse. Of course they had to keep it a secret, since the king would not likely like his created heir and his born heir to be lovers. They became that after all, very close, began loving each other and in the end had the king killed because they knew he'd not accept them. Now they're after the throne, together, and has to fight the rest of the royal family together to get to it. They're gathering allies though, and good at it. Their relationsship is very open, although they love each other deeply, they do not become jealous if one of them sleeps with another - which my character tends to do... but I just love these two, they're so great together and so like-minded. And really, we hadn't planned this. We talked about it that they might develop "a thing" for each other but that would be that. We never knew it would go this far.

AshBeanNun - July 19, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
Bramantine ftw. Ivy's a feisty, loud pureblood and Bram's a reclusive, angst-ridden half-blood... They first meet when she stuns and impersonates a prefect so that she can show him around the school grounds when he transfers to the Irish school in 5th year. He's sorted into Seirbhe, and since she's a Misneach, that means she can't get along with him because a Seirbhe once hurt her big brother. So they just argue with each other for fun.

Over a year later, a murderess kills a student, Bram falls for the murderess, and Ivy is intent on getting a little glory by finding the same murderess. So she and several other students devise a plan to hunt the killer down. It involves Ivy making a fool of Bram. She marches up to him one day during dinner and starts ragging on him about how he's a horrible brother to his twin sister, he could have protected her from the murdered jerkface, blah de blah. Bram is so stressed that he starts to cry. Ivy feels horrible guilt and decides to drop the plan. But another conspirator intervenes and hexes Bram's hair as she is walking away, from a bright red to the color of mud. He thinks Ivy did it, gets furious, and uses the same hex on her in return. But he doesn't do it right; Ivy's strawberry blonde hair goes brunette. And unlike his hair, which returns to its normal state after a few days, hers stays dark auburn. Forever. She ends up assisting in the capture and murder of the killer. Bram is supremely angst-ridden.

Fast forward another year. They've made a wary truce and Ivy is giving Bram potions lessons because he's pretty inept at everything but transfiguration. They end up frolicking in the snow and snogging while they're both under the influence of polyjuice potion (because they would never ever snog while in their normal forms, naturally). Despite these developments in their ever-argumentative relationship, stuff in the outside world prevents them from concentrating on each other...Ivy has begun to realize that she cares about what Bram thinks more than she should.

Fast forward a few years. Ivy is immersed in Revolutionary work as a hit witch and Bram is still trying to find himself, without getting killed by blood purists in the process. After her baby brothers are tortured to death Ivy gives herself up to the purists, and she manages to survive through a brainwashing program and an arranged marriage to an abusive jerk. In the meantime, she tells Bram to go to England, which he does, and he finds a gal there and goes into work as a Dementologist (wizard psychiatrist). He wants to get married and have babies; but alas, his intended is infertile. So that relationship is dropped.

While Bram has been busy living his life, Ivy has been busy trying to survive hers. Her rich powerful abusive pureblood a-hole of a husband gets her pregnant, she nearly gets killed in one of the major Revolution battles, and she and her older brother are presumed dead. She drops her bro off in a muggle hospital to treat his wounds and she basically hides away while she's pregnant. She has a baby girl, and since she really doesn't want to go back to the magical world quite yet, she hangs out with Kendra until Abusive Jerkface discovers that his wife is not only alive, but has his child as well. He steals Kendra when she's a little over a year old. Ivy spends the next couple years trying to get her back.

She ends up broken down in England. A week after she arrives in the country (after splinching off her husband's leg) her brother gets married, and she attends the wedding feeling completely angst-ridden. Also at the wedding feeling angst-ridden is Bram. They're reunited, and Ivy breaks down completely, telling him everything that's happened in the last seven years. In a twist of fate, Bram reveals that he has been treating Kendra Garrow, a very defiant little girl who keeps throwing fits and screaming about her 'dead' mother. They decide they're going to get Kendra back.

Ivy breaks into hubby's house. He catches her, and has her arrested by the very people she works with. He threatens to kill Kendra if she says anything about what he did to her, because he's a very prominent person in the government and can't have his reputation destroyed. Since Ivy is completely swayed by her daughter, she agrees, and knows that she's destined to a life in Azkaban. But! Bram knows what happened to Ivy. He steals Kendra away on the night of the trial. He visits Ivy in jail and lets her know that she can say everything. Ivy=ILOVEYOU. She makes her testimony, she gets a divorce and hubby gets thrown in jail
...and they live happily ever after. The end!

While writing all of that, I realized it was insanely long. Suffice it to say that they're two very different people that complement each other very well, but it takes them a decade to really mature and grow to that point. It's a complex love/hate, 'I understand you perfectly and care about you more than anyone but I won't admit it until we've both been through hell,' and 'I finally see things from your POV, wow you're awesome' relationship. And it's super cute. ^_^

Speaking of super cute, there's always the classic Lucy/Derry combo. They are a Mary Sue and Gary Stu who find True Love. Somehow, even though both characters are riddled with Sue/Stu traits (on purpose, mind you), they manage to be real people with a very sweet romance. Lucy had Wizarding Multiple Personality Disorder...meaning, she had a malignant sixteen year old personification of all these negative emotions following her around, which can only stay with her if Lucy continues to be unhappy. But one day Dermot Ballantine, (the Irish Council's Most Eligible Bachelor, Cursin' Kenny's grandson and assistant, ex-Quidditch captain, and all around Nice Guy) waltzes into her place of work. He makes her feel happy and connected to the world again, he thinks she's hot sweet and confounding. He continues to see her, and Lucy finally gets rid of the alter ego and is happy. They have a slow relationship through the Revolution, and he eventually proposes to her in the midst of all the war and drama going on around them. She accepts. And then "he gets killed" in the revolution. Fast forward five years; Lucy thinks Derry is gone forever, but she just can't forget him. But he's still alive, and he shows up at her apartment door one night. They rush off to the Ministry as soon as it's open to get a marriage license. Now they're busy making babies.

Yay happy endings!

The psycopath (he prefers to be called "mentally unstable") and the icy spy

Okay, for starters, it's a school of espionage roleplay. The spy character is female, perfectionist, kind of harsh. Icy kind of bitchy personality. Anyway, she gets assigned a mission in paris to get close to this psycopathic sadistic pretty much insane guy. She fake dates him for like six months and he's the most abusive boyfriend in the world. He's sadistic, cruel, and she has to pretend to be more docile then she actually is. Anyway, he winds up falling in love with her, he think's she's completely perfect, and she despises his guts. Finally she leaves him in paris. he's under the delusion she's in love with him even though she broke up with him. They meet up again in alaska, she catches him in the middle of a break down and he shows his human side, apologizing for everything he did to her begging her to stay etc. It's kind of hard to explain without telling the whole rp plot but she keeps seeing him and both his psychopathic cruel side that she despises and the rare human side that she starts to fall in love with...It's very weird. Like a weird case of stockholm syndrome? The ending is still undecided, we haven't gotten that far...

MelioraAdmin - July 25, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
Former Rebel/ Aspiring Priestess
(Sir) Riley Black (played be mua) is a man with more war experience than he could have ever wanted. He was born into a land of political conflict, and got involved at a young age. When things turned into an all-out war, he was right in the middle. He even went so far as to organize a resue mission for the former mercenary (Dun) of the rebellion's enemy (an arrogant king of fools), whom he recruited to their cause. They became very good friends and allies, but when their relationship started to evolve, Dunquareiel left the world entirely (she was married to a man she hadn't seen for over 1,000 years). Riley, being a passionate idiot, followed her and ended up in Meliora.

Meanwhile, a temple maiden named Natalie was raised to become a priestess of the air goddess (my character, Venea). She's an innocent young woman with a refreshing outlook on life and a hunger for adventure. When the time finally comes for her to be accepted into the priesthood, the decision is made to send her out into the world for a year so she can fully understand what she is giving up. So, Natalie leaves the temple she was raised in and sets out on a journey across Meliora.

The two met during their travels, and had a rather eventful trip through the forest as Riley (as any gentleman would) offered to show Natalie the way to the nearest city. The two parted on less-than-fabulous terms, and reunited in a very unfortunate situation (Mr. Hero gets drunk and then gets friendly with another drunk man's knife). They then decided that Riley would be Natalie's guide while she explored Meliora.

Of course, you can't expect an emotionally damaged warrior guy and a ridiculously innocent temple girl not to form some sort of attachment. During their crazy adventures, they've come to love each other. . . but not openly. Riley's still trying to sort out his feelings for Dunquareiel (who clearly turned him down. . . but it's complicated), and Natalie knows that if she becomes a priestess they can never be together. It's so cliche and sappy that I have to love it. XD

I actually can't remember all that many couples I've done that don't involve canon characters.

My main one is the 35 year old female teacher and 16 year old male student. I play the teacher, and she freaked out, basically, thinking she was some sort of pervert or paedophile or whatever.. But he loveded her, and so tried to wear her down, and cos she loveded him back, he did. And now they have a baby, and she'll probably have to go to jail soon. What larks!

Another one was my fifteen year old charrie ending up pregnant by a sixteen year old guy ((I like forbidden pregnancies, so sue me xD)) He acted like an eejit around his friends, but was sweet to her when she was on her own. Neither of them really loved each other, and she only slept with him because she was too afraid to say no. Anyway, she decided to keep the baby, but it died and she had to give birth to a stillborn =( The site they were on is now closed though.

^^ One of my best IRL mates played both of those males.

Then there was an old Harry Potter site where the admins had made up some new children for characters.. I played Orla Quirke, and she ended up getting engaged to Mapacanra Tonks.. Who the proceeded to throw her in the lake. She dragged him down after her, of course.. And then he sat on her on the grass bordering the lake, both of them soaking wet, and his mother turned up. ((Time twist site)) Orla was like "Uh.. dude, you gonna get off me in front of your Mam?" and he just chatted happily to his dear mother, with Orla still trapped between his legs. They were fully clothed though, thankfully. He turned her blue too, but changed her back before this incident.

There was another one too.. Which was basicaly weirdo scaredy-cat boy with more confident, and ocassionally crazy girl. I don't think I'll go into detail here though, because it was the first and last male I wrote.. Because, quite frankly, it was a pitiful attempt.

LOL Those are really amusing.

My friend and I have had quite a few couples, but one of my favorites is this super preppy girl whose family is rich and bla bla bla. Anyway, she meets this guy who's background is really messed up and who has two personality disorders.

ZOMG. Vanessa and Sabriel for the win!! <33 I would talk about them more but you pretty much covered it. Rich, snobbish girl with a pansy older brother + poor, quiet boy who has multiple disorders and a screwed up past = drama and angst and lovelovelove. 8D

Since elphie and I have too many couples to count that are my favorites, I'll single out one of the more unique ones we have and then another I have with someone else.

Gypsy and Birdboy

The evil witch he used to work for cursed him and turned him into a half-bird boy when he said he wasn't going to work for her anymore. Feathers, talons, wings, etc; only thing he doesn't have is the beak. The gypsy lost her family at a young age... because of bird-boy and the witch he used to work for. She finds him in an alley after getting himself hurt and breaking an arm and a few ribs, and after a while he recognizes her. Despite the fact that he tries to keep away from her so he won't feel guilty, they spend a lot of time with each other and eventually fall in love. <3 They also have a crazy, pyromaniac, talking candle (named Candle, how creative), and a dog named Dog. LOL.

Unstable demon-boy and Vampire lady

Not exactly an official couple yet, but they do have feelings for each other, so I'm going to post this part up anyway. The only problem is, the both of them are malicious, vengeful, and not afraid to hurt other people -- even each other, despite their feelings. They're mean to each other, violent, dig at each other, not afraid to yell or put the other in their place, and have pushed each other past their breaking point multiple times. Demon-boy hurts people physically, vampire lady hurts them emotionally. After she betrays him and pushes him over the edge, he ties her up with a fire chain and blinds her with fire, only then to take her off to safety and give her the name of someone that can help her. They haven't really admitted their feelings to each other, although he kissed her once during a fight before he fell unconscious. My vampire lady is still not about to admit it, for multiple reasons that include her personality, past, and what has happened in the RP. Think of the songs "What Have you Done" and "I Hate Everything About You"... those pretty much describe it, in my opinion. XD

The Vampire Mistress - July 27, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
My favorite by far is 100% country girl falling inlove with a new york born and bred rocker boy complete with piercings, tattoos and leather pants.

It happened on a site of mine and I have to admit, it did cause quite a shock for a lot of people . . . . but it was so much fun.

I also like French Flirt with Marine . . . a pairing of mine that I had my friend recreate with me on another site just because I liked the drama involved.

I've been debating my favourites for ages.

Borderline Psychopath and his Victim
Essentially a long-running Stockholm syndrome. Victor Creed (aka Sabertooth) was unstable. Brilliant, but unstable, which led to the hunt and kill of several women. Grace was a former student of Xavier's whose ability I wouldn't have gotten away with anywhere but DEM. She was born mute and when her powers manifested, they gave her a voice but every time she opens her mouth, it creates a form of hypnosis, putting them in a state where she can dictate their actions. She was picked up by him on a street corner (hitch-hiking, not soliciting, tyvm) and in the rampant struggle not to get raped, maimed and killed, she starts shrieking and screaming and begging for her life. Typical scared-person behaviour. Given the state of Creed's mentality, he isn't placed under her control, but instead it allows him clarify, lifting the proverbial red fog. Grace's mutation allows him to retain coherent thought and thus, instead of killing her, he keeps her. She is a 'guest' in his home, but essentially she was there against her will.

She's been there a year and he's started to introduce her into the 'fold' of his profession, both of them working for Mister Sinister currently. Creed is able to help her control her gift and use it wisely. On top of that she's getting a taste of violence and is basically being moulded into a tool Creed can use. They have been developing an odd, twisted sort of relationship over the last 12 months, becoming protective, a trust developing and soon it'll be tested because the arrival of Malice in Creed's home has meant one posessed Creed and a terrorised Grace. There is uber secondary mutation in the works. SQUEE!

Mutant Supremacy Radical and the Mutant-in-a-Can
Adrian was not so much born as he was made. His parents put through controlled drug testing throughout the pregnancy, Adrian is Government property, one of many mutants developed to be used as weapons in a military environment. Mutations were picked apart, manipulated and 'grown' with Government ideals and killer instinct. He escaped while on a field-job with a colleague and he and his colleague did some research on existing mutant groups that frequent the USA. Magneto was flagged and they traced the movements of the Brotherhood, which led them to...

Marinda (not Miranda!). Born in London to a Christian family, when her mutation manifested, her parents couldn't be quicker to palm her off on Xavier, whose pickup was intervened by Magneto. From the age of 15 she's been indoctrinated, and now at 24 she genuinely believes in what Magneto fights for. She is not a bitch, she is not a badass. She argues their case well, has a sickening, 'cute' vibe to her (it's the whole being 5' tall and floating thing) but she is, essentially, a facist who will do whatever is necessary in the name of mutant supremacy.

He has this childlike view of the world on face value it looks like she is taking advantage of that. To someone who doesn't know who/what they are, they are a happy couple, content in one another's company and rather loved up. What's creepy is they can both commit genocide and get a good night's kip afterwards, feeling no guilt or smugness about it.

Care-Free Shop Owner and the Tyranical Wife
These two make me LOL. She's a commitment-phobe, was in love with her husband for ten years, but used alcohol as an excuse before doing anything and refused to admit that she was that soft. He takes life lightly, ferreting his feelings away and providing her with a sounding board and general dog's-body for the majority of their friendship. Of course, 'friendship' can also be translated into her coming off looking like a noisy old fish-wife, what with her public outbursts, her outrageous moments and weighing in at over 200lbs.

This friendship was nurtured for years and years and when he finally admitted how he felt, she had a Vicar of Dibley moment ('I KNOW, YOU PILLOCK!!'). She was abrasive, angry, stubborn and generally horrible but it only seemed to make him hang on tighter. They went on holiday when she returned after being kidnapped, this was an attempt to cheer her up after she lost her magic. They got very drunk in Vegas, drowning their sorrows and taking comfort in one another. Then, raging hormones, projectile vomiting and a hilarious newspaper article later, they're waking up married. He refuses to sign the divorce papers and she is plotting his murder.

WOO!

Unstable Goddess and Lion-Shapeshifter

These two are great. She, Sfora, is the daughter of Persephone and Hades, the goddess of Emotion- talk about moodswings? She can go from adoring wife to IMMA KEEL YOU BEETCH in .2 seconds. And talk about insecure, constantly doubting her husband and then making it up to him ;D and he- Meison- was a lion-shapeshifter who, when very young, murdered a human woman's husband so they could be together (she was unaware of his *cough* condition) - only, see, the husband took a deal with Artemis and for his act of revenge killed both him and the woman.
Sfora and Meison's first date? Sfora taking over torturing duties for him. XD Eventually she broke him out of hell and they eloped. Hades wasn't particularly pleased about it. But he eventually came around.
Fun fact: Sfora, when she was pregnant, made Meison cry during one of her particularly nasty mood swings.
I love them because they're so opposite of each other :D She's crazy, off the wall, vicious, affectionate, clingy, mean, sometimes too generous, pretty much a ball of emotion, and he's sort of dull. Crazy jealous but not particularly passionate, and sort of awkward in social situations.

Alpha's son and zoo runaway

This is an old one from my old wolf roleplay {: I still love them, they're so tragic. Platora when she was a young puppy taken in by a zoo. Unfortunately, because she was not born at the zoo, the captive wolves beat up on her all the time and the zookeepers were oblivious until one particularly nasty incident that resulted in her missing half an ear and almost being crippled (they pulled her out in time)- so they taught her to hunt and released her.
Vivo was the semi-crazy son of the completely-batshit Alpha male and Platora happened to stumble on his pack, and he accepted her and they became friends right-away. yada, yada, a while later they were mates.
But everyone in Vivo's family hated Platora 'cos she was reallly soft, gentle, not very strong/vicious at all. Especially Vivo's twin sister.
Well shortly after their first litter Vivo and her got into a spat and he ran off, and then Platora, being not the greatest young mother, abandoned her kids and chased after him. Thus began a long game of cat and mouse that went on for years, until her kids were well grown up.
She was about to give up when he reappeared and they had a really sad reunion, ended up forgiving each other and actually got to lead a pack, but the stress of it was getting to Platora and then Vivo disappeared AGAIN, and she got pissed off and left.
And thats pretty much where it ended D:
I know they're sort of cliche, but I cannot tell you how fond I am of this couple. They're just sweethearts. And since their relationship has been rped for... I dunno, 4-5 years, I'm extremely emotionally invested in them.

Crazy and the Ice Queen.

Another from the wolf roleplay. The alpha male who was crazy, senile, downright mean at times but more like a teddy bear. And his mate, who was in essence the Ice Queen, the bitchiest of them all. Everyone bowed to her whims {8< They had a long, long history that was really neat but I don't think I'll ramble about it. But they did kill themselves together D: Because they wanted to appear strong in memory, instead of letting themselves fade to a bunch of senile old fools. So they dove off a cliff at their last pack meeting.

The Accidental Murderer and the (possible) Minister of Magic

From one of my first roleplays, so forgive me if it's stupid. It's always been one of my favorites. Millie, a undead reaper of souls, meets James Potter at a funeral when they were both eighteen. They hit it off right away and they swore they'd call each other, but Millie's boss, an uptight COMC teacher(also undead) who had ties to the undead world, forbid her to see him because he was too high-profile. So they are both completely miserable. James later becomes an auror and is a candidate for the MOM when Millie, while trying to push past him on a train, accidentally pushed the current MOM onto the tracks. A train happens to come by and kills him instantly. While Millie is on the run from the police, James finds her in a bar and they are instantly close. They part and the next morning, he figures out that the love of his life is a murderer and wanted by the government. The roleplay died before I could figure out what happened to them, but the girl who played her and I disagreed on what would happen. She was a hopeless romantic and I am a die-hard tragic. So I think they never worked it out and they never saw one another again except once, on a train as she ushered her friend, Gret's kids off to school. She believes they hid in Canada and had children.

Okay, so they're not actually a couple and I'm certainly not claiming they're original, but I've got a little thing going on that I love the hell out of.

The wannabe superhero and the supervillain fanboy.

She's emulating an idol and trying to keep the city safe. He's emulating an idol and trying to get rich in the process. The first time they met, he was fighting with a burglar who'd gone after the same target as him. She thought he was a superhero. They dealt with the burglar, hit it off, chatted, made plans to meet again. He's now got a crush on her and trying to walk the straight and narrow because of it. Meanwhile, she's pretty much oblivious to his affections as anything other than a friend.

Fun times.

The original meeting was supposed to end with him turning on her and starting a rivalry between the two, possibly with some hint of physical attraction. Ain't it always a hoot when things turn out completely different to what you'd planned?
