Title: I Come In Pieces

*glomps everyone*

Sup, the name is Gia, or Queen or Goddess or anything slightly deistic. I'm not high on power I'm just very praised and adored by my fans... I mean, friends. Ahem.

In more serious news, I'm 22 (Aquarius ftw) and a journalism major/freelance writer/future teacher of America's youth. Be afraid, be very afraid. I reside on the East Coast, New Jersey, though I'm a traveller of the world. Being a mix of... three different races, I love diversity and change and I'm all about embracing not just who you are but everyone else around you as well.

I love to communicate. Period. Whether its on the phone, internet, or at the bus stop. I also love to argue and I have many hs debate awards to prove it, so don't challenge me because you won't win. XD

I discovered role-playing online in 2005 and have been hooked every since. I've been a member of two Harry Potter boards, I created one which one of my fellow Admin has already posted about (*glomps Clipsed*) and at the moment I'm working on my second board, which is based on the World of Darkness/White Wolf books/systems and clearly a far cry from Harry Potter. Lol.

Lastly, as you can plainly see, I have the personality of a six year old. Life is far too short to take so seriously and not have fun, so you can probably expect lots of hysterics out of me coupled with a few serious "grown-up" points of view on certain things.

And that's all, folks.

Hey. I'm Cait, pretty new around here, too. ^_^

Dunno if it's my place to welcome, but I figured it couldn't hurt. So, welcome. :pink:

I wanted to be a journalist for the longest time, because writing is kinda my thing - it's my passion. But then I realised I couldn't possibly be a journalist, because..well..I hate writing about news. So, I've decided to go into teaching and do some writing on the side (RPing and working on a novel), I know...cliche, but eh.

Lol, anyway, welcome again. :yellow:

Thanks for the welcome, glad to know I'm not the only newb. XD

Ah, its a common misconcepton that journalism automatically involves the news. There are literally thousands of careers in writing that you need a journalism degree for, or at least an English degree.

I didn't really choose this majorto write -- writing is something I will always do regardless. It's my passion, too. It's a good course to take to larn about all the different techniques and forms, though.

Also, yay, another teacher. Are you teaching the kiddies (K-1) like me?

Not all about news? Hmm. Maybe I'll look some more into it this year (it's my Senior year, I'm excited ^_^)

I plan on minoring in creative writing, though, so I can actually work on getting something published. That's my dream, next to teaching.

...which, no... I'm not teaching little ones. I don't have the skills to do that x.x I'm terrible in anything math/science related. I'm trying to go into the high school grades (even though I hear it's really hard to break into) to teach U.S. history (which is my other passion. hehe)

GoddessofWar - July 18, 2008 01:15 AM (GMT)
Aw, cool. I miss high school. lol

I abhor math and science is only fun when things blow up. Lol. So, I'm gonna teach English. I adore children, so its perfect form.

And... good luck with the teaching of high school students. I remember my old history lessons.. although you're not a monotonous eighty year old, so I'm sure you'll make it more interesting, especially if its a passion.

oreocookie12 - July 18, 2008 01:25 AM (GMT)

Yeah, I know. Everyone says that. "You're not going to get anyone to listen to you."

Well, they haven't had me as a history teacher before. It'll be fun, I think, but then again - what do I know? I'm only 17. x.x

Thanks for the luck, I'm gonna need it.

...and I'd give up high school in an instant lol.
