Title: Salvete! (hey, What's Up?)
armstrong - July 12, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
I enjoy reading from the fantasy, adventure, and mystery genres and my favorite is the Harry Potter series. I enjoy writing, especially screenplays. I hope to work on an RPG during my spare time this summer, although I don't know that much about website layout.
I hope to see you around the boards later!

Hey. Here's a question: are you ready to admit you're a member of Arrogant (people) Anonymous?
I am, but then again, I don't call myself a 'writer.'
Hm.
ED: typo
armstrong - July 13, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
I don't understand. Is 'writer' an offensive word around here or something?
EliteGirl - July 13, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
I notice that you mostly talk about yourself. And mentioning the college part and the fact you're literary. That all comes across as bragging. You may not have been trying to brag, but it came off that way. :pink:
I may not be a literary player, or in college (I dropped out college because it was too hard), but as a person with high functioning autism- I can identify with coming off as too "egotistical" (yes, I admit I am tempermental and conceited) and not being aware I sound that way.I hope the explanation helps smooth things over.

Sorry if I sounded arrogant. I was trying to tell people who I am. Was I overdoing it?
Edit: I don't think it's accurate to call myself literary. I am not a published author. I just enjoy writing.

SmathNa, this is an official verbal warning. An introduction forum is to introduce yourself, if you find a person is arrogant in doing so, keep it for yourself. This forum is meant for new members to introduce themselves, and for others to welcome them. Not to run down someone just based on what they've written. Introducing IS talking about yourself, how else do you want to introduce yourself? Some might find it arrogant, some might find it honest, I don't care either way. In the end you just have to be kind to each other and respect each other. Armstrong hasn't broken any rules and didn't deserve such a first message on this community.
Anyways, welcome Armstrong, I hope you'll have a lot of fun here on RPG-D. I'm sure you'll find everything what you want to know here, and otherwise you can always make a new topic somewhere! See you around.

Aye aye. Sorry about that. Definitely saw that one coming.

Hey armstrong. :D Welcome to rpg-d!! Like ShinLi said, I'm sure you'll find a lot of great stuff to talk about here, as well as a few things you can start yourself .. Really, don't be shy.
And, I <3 Harry Potter too. ^ - ^

Thanks for the welcome silent cacophony!
I guess a lot of people around here enjoy Potter. Do you visit The Leaky Cauldron or MuggleNet?

Yo. I'm December, Esq, also known as December or just plain Dec. Welcome to RPG-D and I hope you enjoy your stay here.
Screenplays? That sounds fantastic. :] I've written a few short screenplays, but nothing really cool. I was just playing around with a screenplay program I wrote.
