I'm way excited to be here! If I'm going to tell the truth, of course, this is the second account I've made here, but the first was so long ago I'll be damned if I can remember it. Hence, the new one. Anyway, on with the introduction!
You all can call me Evie. I'm a nineteen-year-old American girl from the East Coast. I'm in college (starting my second year this fall), where I'm majoring in English Literary Studies and minoring in Professional Writing. Even though I commute to campus, I've managed to get pretty involved with the activities there; I'm secretary of the Film Society, a copy editor for the college newspaper, and a member of the college acting troupe.
My literary tastes lean somewhat more to the classics than modern literature, but since it's a recently acquired interest I'm still working my way through a lot of older literature; my main area of interest is Victorian literature. It may come as no surprise, then, that my favorite author is Jane Austen, however cliched that might be. Currently, however, my favorite book is Crime and Punishment, by Feodor Dostoevsky.
I've been roleplaying for four years and experienced a decent variety; a lot of Harry Potter, some music, some high school, some medieval, some fantasy, some historical. I've also been admining for roughly four years, though my sites don't tend to do well unless I have a co-admin (which is probably the result of my laziness with advertising). I have acquired a real expertise for character development, though, since I have a slight addiction to creating new characters. As such, I've also become very good at killing characters off.
I do non-roleplay writing as well, mostly in the form of short stories. A novel is slowly but surely in the works; I go through bouts of inspiration with it and then leave off for several months. I try to steer away from fanfiction, though I will admit that I wrote my share of awful stuff when I was thirteen. Recently, I did write a Marauder Sirius Black fic because I was sick of reading RPs and fics that turned him into a manwhore. Canon abuse is a sin.
So...that's me in a very fat nutshell. I look forward to forcing myself on you joining the community!

I love North Carolina. I don't live there (I'm actually living in Pennsylvania), but most of my extended family does. If I had to relocate to another state, it would be NC. Hooray for the East Coast!
