mallcat - July 8, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
okay, hello there.i've just made my own board and its pretty much okay but i've got some questions. first problem: okay so i've made some pips for my user groups but the question is how do you get them on the board. i know that like when you see something someone post and under the avatar there's the pip. how do you get it there?

also has to do with user groups. at the bottom of the board where you see what members are on how do you change the color of the name to match the group?

1. In order to upload your pips you need to make sure that they're .gifs. Then, you go to your ACP, down to the heading 'Users and Groups', and click on 'User Titles/Ranks'. At the bottom of that you'll see an area to upload pips to. To set them to a user group, go to 'Manage User Groups' under the 'Users and Groups' heading. Click 'Edit Group' on the one you want (ie. Admin) and where it shows the drop down list for the 'Group Icon' look for the title of your gif.

2. In the same place (Manage User Groups -> Edit Group), see where it shows 'Online List Format'? Put the code:

CODE
<span style='color:#COLOR'>

Then, in the box below that, put:

CODE
</span>

Ok..to answer the first question first...In the Admin CP, in the sidebar, click the link that says "User Titles/Ranks"

In here, you can change your titles based on posts, and lost of other fun stuff. If you look at the bottom of this page there is a field that says "upload a pip" Click the browse button beside it, and upload them from your computer. I think you can only upload one at a time.

For the second question...back on the Admin CP sidebar, click the link that says "manage user groups" once their, click on the group whos color you want to edit. Once there, the sixth field down (Online List format [Prefix]) you type < Span Style=color:'colorhere' > without the spaces in between the < and Span, and in between the ' and the other > If you want them bolded type < b> before and again after the span style code. same for italics < i >

Hopefully I was able to answer your question. If you need anymore help, feel free to reply again, or PM me. :)

Darn...too slow... >.<
