Title: Forum Currency
Description: What shall we do with it?

Well I scoured the internet looking for the code and stuff to do it for my SMF forum. Found it. Installed it. Every thing's just peachy except for one thing..
What sort of things to offer?
I'm wanting it to be a reward for posting in the role play boards (We were originally a chat room rp but where we've grown up and stuff we don't always have time for a chat room so the board suits our needs.) Also, I'm wanting them to be able to buy some nifty stuff to compliment the role play. We have a couple IC ones and then a few OOC ones
EDIT: Should probably mention that the board is medieval fantasy
IC
-Elixer of Life (Bring a character back from the dead) this one is rather expensive
-Tier 4 starter (Our role play works on a tier power system that ranks from 1-10. the highest a player character normally goes is 5 with a few 6 exceptions that have to be earned. New characters start at tier 3 at most)
OOC
-Change your user title
-change someone else's user title
Any suggestions for other tings?

IC, the only thing i could really think of is like... housing, weaponry, entrance into board events [like a ball or something].
OoC, maybe a new graphic or something? specially made for them?
i usually don't bother with the currency stuff because i don't see a real point in using it on my boards.

I was thinking about allowing them to get better weapons or something like that...that certainly gave me something to consider.

Moved from Support Center- this didn't belong there because it isn't a technical issue at all.

Personally, I find the default items in the SMF Shop glitzy. There are a few important ones, like changing membergroup and changing your display name (so people don't abuse that feature). But a lot of the things there are just meant to entertain people that don't already have entertainment (like chat forums). It's not the best method for an RPG, especially with its lack of good logging and ease of adding new items.
I'm making use of it on one of my forms just to keep track of money and use it as a bank. And also to allow people to set their own membergroups, so we don't have to (breeze for us admins). We have separate IC shops for actually spending money, and then they send the money to an NPC account where it gets recorded (I tweaked the shop code so that any money exchanges force a PM to the NPC account as well).

I'm not using many of the default ones myself...and any time someone uses the Elixer of life, it sends me an email to let me know that their character is alive
What I need is ideas for IC ones.

Why don't you ask your members?

I have. They're as clueless as I am. We're all rather new to our rp being on a forum.
