Title: Band Kids?
Description: Any out there?

I'm one and I love it! I play tuba (formerly trumpet. I hate the tuba and I was tricked into playing it...) in my school's Wind Ensemble and Marching Band. I would be in Jazz Band, but I don't want to wake up that early (They play before school at A Period).

Anyone got any funny band stories or anything? If so, post them here! It's always nice to talk to more band kids!

My Freshman year we went up to Victoria, Canada for tour. We were going to fly up to Seattle from California and spend the night there, then take a shuttle bus to a ferry into Canada. So we get off of the plane in Seattle and I'm with my friend and his papa, who was chaperoning, and we got to the Burger King in the airport to wait for the rest of the class. All of a sudden I remember that I had left my ticket on the plane. So I take off and run past the class back onto the plane. I look around my seat and couldn't find it. After about five minutes I go back to Burger King and I find that they're not there!

So I begin to panic and I'm running around to find them. Then I think, "Wait. We're going to Canada right? So they'll head to the plane!". So I look for the flight to Victoria and there it is. On the other side of the airport...

I take the subway type shuttle thing (you guys know what I'm talking about) all the way over there and wait there for about ten minutes, continually asking the lady behind the desk if they would be there. I'm ready to lose my mind at this point because I'm lost in an airport in Seattle when I hear my name called on the intercom. Turns out they were in baggage claim already.

I run to baggage claim as fast as I possibly can and find them waiting there and the kids are laughing, the chaperones are hurrying me onto the bus before we're late, but we make it on time. Unfortunately, in my rush to get on the bus I leave my luggage. So we have to turn around and get it. It was a pretty eventful day.
