Title: Ncis Rpg
Description: Would anyone play?

SJWinchester - July 3, 2008 06:03 AM (GMT)
I just had this massive break down, where I heard the NCIS theme song while on this site, in the directory.

Not sure where to take it, but would anyone do it???

I had a hyper attack...

What's NCIS?

*blink*

My bad. Its a crime procedural show. Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

It stars Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Lauren Holly, Pauley Perette, Cote de Pablo... Sean Murray... many more. :p oh oh David McCallum!

Its a serious show, but its funny at times. Michael Weatherly's character is such amazing comic relief. :p

<3 NCIS

I might, if it was well carried off. I've only seen two episodes at most though so I'd be playing for the plot not the fandom.

That makes sense. Well, I'm still trying to figure out how to do it, as there are new characters every week, in addition to the team.. as a crime show, its so focused on solving crime, that anything I did would feel unworthy. *blushes*

Dear Lord! This is VERY, VERY, VERY HARD to pull off. I tried once, with a staff of three others and it collapsed under its own weight (mainly because RL happened and we all lacked the time to keep at it).

 I guess there would be three ways to do it really: Totally freeform; Completely scripted (GM run); or a combo of these two. We chose to try the latter. We also chose not to use canon characters (though some are present as NPC characters) and start an entirely new team based in a completely fictional Field Office.

The site is still around and I still visit it whenever I feel like pondering what might have been.

I think that an NCIS RPG would be so cool! I maybe wouldn't use canons, just because since there are so few of the major canons, they'd probably naturally be more popular than originals. But could have the division, team leaders (like Gibbs), members, morticians... general spots to be filled? They could be originals, but they'd have to sign up to be a part of a certain team. Oh, and people could be criminals, too!

Haha, I hope you do it =P.

ill be an outsider and say its refreshing to see a place thats canon only, not a site where every tom dick and jane feel the need to create every minute detail from scratch

I would so join an NCIS RPG! I'm not sure how I stand on the canon issue though, the canons on the show are awesome and I'm not sure I could do them justice.

Woah, thanks for the reactions, people. :p

I have put my plan into action, slightly. The only problem I have at the moment, is regarding the canons. I'd love to keep them, as I love the show because of its quirky characters.. I'm not ashamed to admit how much I love 'em.

I do understand that that makes it more difficult, and that I might not be able to pull it off...

However... my family and friends got wind of my almost plans, and they already want to be certain characters. *facepalm*

I am at a loss for what to do, as the last few days I've been scouring every source for show details, and watching it and stuff, and now I dunno if I'm gonna use the canons, even though I'd REALLY like to...

Bah.

More opinions are VERY welcome.

Ok. So, those around me have established that we're having canons. I have some ideas on the plottage...

I wonder if anyone would want to be a staff member... not asking as in, the other forum that asks for staff, but would anyone do that??
