Hi there,
I have a site that involves vampires, and also we tend to through balls and parties with the masquerade theme since I love it so much.
As for rating we range from PG-13 to R, some of our rpers are more mature and do post things beyond that in a properly warned thread.
Our site is very active, though it is small with about eleven members since we are new.
I'll just go ahead and post the plot here that way it's easier for you.
There is many places to rp, we have several schools and also many places to rp while not in school.
While we also have vampires, we have werewolves, zombies and soon mermaids.

No vampires here, but we're certainly dark, and we're to have a Masquerade ball once more characters are made. Our theme is Gothic Victorian France, and even though you can't be a vampire per se, you can still be blood-thirsty and vile as a regular ol' human. XD We have canons available from three musicals (though they aren't central to the entire board's plot): Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, and Phantom of the Opera. However, you needn't have knowledge or even interest in these musicals in order to make a character and join in!

The Lord of Darkness, Dracula, rose from the dead once more in the year 2007 – and he rose with just one thing in mind. Revenge over the God who denied him death so long ago. Now, in 2008, the Dragulian Empire is for the first time truly expanding, and even more after both all of Africa and Australia submitted to the Vampire rule... and with the help of blood from a witch born with Dracula’s blood – Charlotte Heller, granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing – the Vampires are rising like never before, even able to have children, and walk in daylight. Dark Desires is inspired by the movie Dracula 2000 (but not the sequels), but also referring to many other myths about the greatest living vampire of all times. It is a good idea to have seen the movie, but not a requirement.
Join us in the new dark times, that are certainly increasing – be a part of the new world which our Lord of Darkness, and King of the Dragulian Empire, is trying to create. The threat that waited to be released, is out, and who knows if the Human kind is doomed or not? Who shall you be in this new world, if not a simple Human or one of the Vampires? Perhaps you’d be a Token, supporting the Vampires in their quest for perfection? Or maybe the opposite, a Slayer, trying to restore order in the lately chaotic world? Dark Desires contains a wide variety in characters, and is in general a very friendly community, welcoming even the more odd character types. Maybe IFS is what you need. We have Vampires and currently have a Masquerade Ball going on. We have posters of all skills; some more advance, but require at least a paragraph. Well here it is:
It all began in 1692. There was so much death and destruction that families were torn apart, and neighbors became suspicious of each other. Many began to see the ruin humans could cause and fled the countries and cities of their youth in search of haven elsewhere. Some found their way to St. Anthony’s Island and the town of Little Salem.
Those who were considered mythical beings joined together for protection and survival and so began the Treaty of Three, a treaty designed to protect the humans as well as the vampires, the werewolves and the witches.
The rules were simple enough: no harm was to come to any human; no human should ever learn the existence of these groups; and no member of the treaty was to purposely hurt another member of the treaty. Any violation of these rules meant death for all those involved.
Well, strange humans with the hell-bent intention of making myths extinct have begun arriving on the island. A vampire belonging to the more peaceful of the bloodsuckers’ families has been murdered, and found alongside an innocent human. And the Treaty has been broken by the ‘child’ of one of its original creators.
A war has been brewing beneath the guise of peaceful efforts, and things are about to explode. You’re not going to want to miss the next boat to

RoM isn't specifically about vampires, but they're certainly allowed. And occasionally there are balls and suchlike, where you might be able to get your masquerade kick in. Plus, we're really, really active, and mostly people write multiple paragraphs in one post, so it sounds like you'd fit in great!

- long before the written time, there was adam and there was... lilith. yes, lilith, the woman before eve. unable to be the submissive wife to adam, god casted lilith out of the garden of paradise, turning her into a horrid creature that would be doomed to wander the earth for all of eternity. soon, she became the creature that haunted children at night, a phantom that drank the blood of all that crossed her path. still, her hunger was insatiable. lilith traveled the world, feeding until there were none left to feed from and then moving on. it was merely by accident that she learned to spread her disease. however, when she did, she searched the world over for those worthy of her dark gift. biting her victims, she would drink them nearly dry, leaving them hanging on by a single breath before she would permit them to feed from her pure blood. it was from her blood that the ancients were created.
the ancients were the first of lilith's line. they were the purest generation the world had ever known. able to walk in the sun light like their queen, the ancients spread out, leaving their mother to form their own families and spread their gifts. as time went on and more generations were created, the power of the blood thinned and the children were unable to fight against the sun's power, thusly finding themselves in darkness. lilith's story, however, was not finished. as they began to build a kingdom, lilith found herself growing insane with power, wanting to enslave the mortal world and make them all but extinct. one of lilith's first children, however, could not permit this and rose up against her. killing his queen with his followers, darius had her body torn apart and sent to the corners of the earth in an effort to never raise the queen from her final resting place. Her skull was entombed in a statue for her that was set in the central garden of the queen's former palace located somewhere near bavaria.
after guarding the world and maintaining balance for centuries, darius went into the ground to sleep. over time, his reign and existence faded into legend and lore and he was nothing more than a memory and a fairy tale.

- in the time between the fall of lilith and the present, three clans had formed among the vampires and the ancients had all but died. the lilitu, the strega, and the likhyi. a war has been brewing ever since, each clan having their own plans for the world and their own beliefs. the lilitu plan on finding the mythical canopic jars that hold the ashes of their queen and then they will find the mysterious statue that had been buried with darius when he decided to go into his slumber. they will free the skull and bring their queen back to rule the world once more. the strega wish to bring her back to rule her, and the lekhyi mostly want her remains to upset their fellow vampires.
of course, there are those out there that don't want the vampires to find anything. they are the hunters of the helsing organization. formed by the one and only great van helsing, himself, his family's line has carried on the work and has expanded into a rather well funded military organization filled with hunters young and old but all very well experienced. they've been combating the enemy for centuries and they'll risk the life of every slayer among them if they have to just to see the vampires fail in their attempts. of course, this isn't the warfare your mother is used to...
seeing that it's obvious the city is in need, the hunters have started to look for more aggressive means of combat and the vampires are beginning to look for ancient leaders of their own to head up the war. by pure accident, the legendary patriarch of the likhyi has been resurrected. the problem is, he doesn't seem to interested in helping anyone bring lilith back, making people think that he might not be the man he once was. worse... it seems like the lilitu are getting closer to finding the necessary means of awakening lilith. the strega, under the leadership of a new leader and his pet turned vampire bride, are facing problems of their own dealing with their subjects bending to the rule of a former pet as their leader. and the mortals? well, they're starting to think that these mysterious and questionable attacks are more than just random abuses made by sick cult members. if that isn't enough, the head of the acker house has passed and his grandson has taken over. having always been unhappy with the fact that the leader of the organization was a female, he's now found that the lady helsing is hiding something and insists that a man should be in charge of the organization. what is it that she's hiding? moreover, what side will the hunters choose? helsing or acker?
the war has come to a head in london, all of the vampires realizing that there might be one of the last two pieces to their puzzle there. each clan has a jar of lilith and the helsing organization seems to have the fourth but where is the skull? it's the quest that has brought the three clans and the helsing army to london. the war is starting to spill out onto the streets, effecting the mortals of london. who will win? will the vampires succeed in bringing lilith back or will the helsings take out the last of the vampire threat? better question. will the vampires be able to end their own personal squabbles and remember what their goal is? will acker win and take control of the helsing organization?
that's up to you to decide but one thing is for sure:
it's dark and it's cold and london is bleeding.
rated r for sex, violence, drug use, etc...

You thought your life was boring. Dull. Normal. You live in Washington DC and you thought you're life was just a conglomeration of politics, bills, and gas prices. You thought that nothing extraordinary ever happened, that magic was dead, and that fantasy was something found in comic books and role playing games.
Well, you'd be wrong.
Welcome to the Harbor, a portal to another world. Another world, where magic reigns, where magical creatures roam free, and where a dark force is currently ruling. Euphrania, once ruled by two benevolent brothers, is now in ruins, a disagreement between the two sending their world into perpetual darkness. A man of non-royal blood now rules, creating dissent in the people and the very nature of Euphrania. His evil magic is too great to be reckoned with. The only hope for the people of Euphrania is to see a human of true royal blood on the throne once more, but where have they all gone? They've been scattered across Euphrania and the United States. These men and women of royal Euphranian blood are just like you and me, and most will live their life without ever knowing their true place. However, if found by the evil forces of Euphrania, these men and women will no doubt be disposed of... their only hope is to be found first by the good-natured people of Euphrania.
Of course, though, this is not even the beginning. This is the United States, so of course the government has to be involved.
The President has always known of Euphrania, and, since the creation of democracy within the Americas, each president has decided to keep the existence of the other world a secret. But these are different times. These are times of terrorists and murderers and thievery and rape. The current president has decided to create a faction, housed within the CIA, known as the Agency for the Betterment of US / Euphrania Relations, also called-- in a move of foreshadowing, perhaps?-- ABUSER. ABUSER is separated into several divisions, specializing in both research and reconnaissance. ABUSER's agents travel regularly to Euphrania.
But ABUSER is not, as its namesake would suggest, good.
The current President does not like Euphrania. Its existence threatens the very sanity of the world. And so, he has charged ABUSER with luring the people of Euphrania into a false relationship based on camaraderie and trade. When this is achieved, ABUSER will annihilate all of Euphrania, leaving nothing. No traces of the people, places, and magic that once existed. The good people of Euphrania already dislike these newcomers, considering ABUSER has decided to side with the Dark Lord in power for the time being. The Dark Lord has charged ABUSER with several jobs.
One: Destroy all who threaten his will.
Two: Destroy all of supposed royal blood.
Three: Using their technology, attempt to create a replica of a royal human in order to fully capture the throne or Euphrania.
ABUSER is, at the time, fully complying.
Where do you stand? Who are you? 'Cause, man, is this fantasy shit as real as ever, You better pick a side, before a side picks you.

WELL!!!
I was watching Interview with the Vampire and had just finished reading Twilight for the umpteenth time and decided to make an RPG. that’s where sweetestPOISON came into life within my head. OH! And I was listening to Sweetest Poison by Nu Pagadi, so yeah. xDDD
We’ve got vampires, two different classes: vegan and malkavian ones, the latter being the ones who drink human blood while the former drink animal blood. Aye, they were based around Louis when he was first turned as well as the Cullens. HOWEVER! my vampires DIE when the sunlight hits them. hoo-rah!
we’ve also got humans which is classified in three categories. There are slayers, blood dolls, and mere mortals. the slayers, obviously, SLAY the vampires and the blood dolls assist the vampires, be they Vegan or Malkaivan. Mere mortals are your every day, run of the mill, don’t know nothing bout nothing humans. and we're literate! yee-HAW!
activity is a little on the slim side because we're in the alpha-testing stages (which only means that we're checking, rechecking, triple checking everything to make sure none of the coding is screwed, the images work, etc.) of the board, but i'm welcoming you to take a peak and possibly join us. the RPers are literate as well ad you're welcome to skin some topics to see what i mean. minimum post requirement is three paragraphs...and proper understanding of the english language, syntax, etc. that's all.

I was watching Interview with the Vampire and had just finished reading Twilight for the umpteenth time and decided to make an RPG. that’s where sweetestPOISON came into life within my head. OH! And I was listening to Sweetest Poison by Nu Pagadi, so yeah. xDDD
We’ve got vampires, two different classes: vegan and malkavian ones, the latter being the ones who drink human blood while the former drink animal blood. Aye, they were based around Louis when he was first turned as well as the Cullens. HOWEVER! my vampires DIE when the sunlight hits them. hoo-rah!
we’ve also got humans which is classified in three categories. There are slayers, blood dolls, and mere mortals. the slayers, obviously, SLAY the vampires and the blood dolls assist the vampires, be they Vegan or Malkaivan. Mere mortals are your every day, run of the mill, don’t know nothing bout nothing humans. and we're literate! yee-HAW!

It was as though she had been favored by some form of deity; which ever preferred, in every single way… However it was what was in her eyes that had interested Benjamin. He had encountered many flawless women in his many years of life, so that little fact had not drawn out his interests so much. What had drawn Benjamin to this woman was the distraught, hopeless expression she held in those dull blue orbs of hers. She was near perfection, but despite that, the look in her eyes showed just how much she detested her existence. It was truly miraculous the things one noticed about another when they just took the time to look. His arms closed around her waist as she rested her head on his shoulder. Her pained eyes stared off into the darkness, though they were attracted by nothing. She was in a trance-like state that Benjamin had placed upon her. She did not object or resist his touch in any way, and Benjamin raised his pale hand to her face, running his fingertips along her tanned cheek as her arms moved around him. His other hand moved to pull back her hair, exposing her beautiful neck. He bit his lower lip in anticipation as she held onto him. Her pulse echoed in his mind as he gazed at his target. He could feel it. He could hear it. The blood which flowed through her veins by the constant, rhythmic contractions of her broken heart. He leaned forward, pressing himself into her bared neck as she voluntarily leaned her head off to the side. His cool lips kissed her, nipped at her, and finally bit her. His fangs plunged into her fragile flesh, piercing her jugular and eagerly swallowing the metallic tasting substance as it freely flowed into his mouth. The woman didn’t flinch. She didn’t react at all for that matter. She remained silent and docile; her head perched on his shoulder as he continued to feed on her. He greedily consumed the woman’s blood, her plasma, her life. Her grip around his waist weakened as he gorged on her blood like a gluttonous beast, and finally there was nothing left of her grip at all. Her hands dropped limply to her sides and her knees buckled, standing only due to the powerful grip Benjamin’s single arm still held around her slender waist. He released her once he finished draining her of a majority of her blood, her body falling to the dirtied ground beneath them. Now, as she lay dead before him, her perfection did not falter or waver in the least. The healthy peach color she held in her cheeks faded away until her tone matched that of Benjamin’s paper white complexion. She was like a porcelain doll, and now, within those dead eyes, all feelings of grief and sorrow evaporated. Of course, he had not killed the girl out of pity. What was once his heart had died long ago, and any such feelings along with it. He was a predator now. No more, no less. He emerged from the alleyway, the bright streetlights stinging his sensitive eyes. He cursed under his breath, so high from the rush of the hunt that he didn’t ready himself for the momentary shock. He sighed, raising his hands and rubbing his eyes in irritation until the stinging sensation subsided. The body remained deep in the alleyway, hidden amongst the garbage and shadows.
