Title: Vamps-schools-greeks-fables
Description: (Oh my gosh?!)

Twenty-three - July 2, 2008 08:18 PM (GMT)
Heya folks! I've made one of these "RPG request" thing about super heroes. I'm glad to inform I've found the perfect one! Yet, I'd like to join at least one more RPG. While last time I was completely against Boarding Schools and stuff, now I've grown to like them. Why? Because I miss school! *gag*Kind of weird huh? Let's fill this thing up then...

Genre: Horror/Gothic; Boarding School (magic or real life); Fantasy
Difficulty: Medium. I hate when people don't give us anything to work with.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Vampires (are nice), Humans (are nice too!), other horrific creatures!
Preferred Rating: R // Mature.
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: Eh...I really prefer new sites, where there are only a few people that stay active. I'd like to stay away from sites that have been open for a long time, I have the tendency to fade away. But, don't be shy! Post away!

Preferred Time where RPG is set in: I'd say current time.

Other Notes:

Okidoki! So, I'd like to leave a few things clear here:
  • I just began reading "Twilight" from Stephenie Meyer, I'm on the page 293 and I think I'm liking it. BUT I haven't arrived to the important bit. And I really don't like spoilers, so those who have Twilight RPG, thank you very much, but I think I'll stay away from you guys until I finish my book. xD
  • No Harry Potter RPG please. I actually have only read only one of the books, and, although I know praticaly everyone that dies thanks to my friends, I'd like to avoid any other spoilers. Who knows? Maybe one day I'll actually start reading them!
  • If you have a boarding school RPG, don't be shy. Post 'em!
It can be either magical or just regular real life.
But if the site has been runing for six months or something like that and have one hundred and something members, I don't think I'll join. I'd like some fresh meat xD.

  • I always love a good plot. Vampires are starting to really fascinate me, but if it's just about human girls running after vampire guys trying to win their love, it looses all the charm you know? I've wrote this before, but I'll write again: I hate it when the RP is about getting laid. So why am I asking for boarding schools? I have no idea xD ...I'm just hoping someone has an original idea.
  • Fairy Tales on the current days. I love that idea! Has anyone ever read these comic books named "Fables"? I worship that idea. And if anyone has a game where characters from bed time stories come to real life, count me in! xD
  • Greek Methology. Yep, I like that as well! Specially if you mix it with the current time. *Chuckle* Go ahead and post 'em!

I have no problems in playing either female or male characters. I like to keep the site balanced =]. If you have a fresh site that has anything to do with the ones above, post them up! And if you're frightened with my terrible grammar, do not fear. I usually use a spell checker with my posting xDD

Good Luck!

Welcome to St. Tristan's School for Girls. EXCEPT it's not just for girls anymore.
St. Tristan's has been forced to merge with a nearby all boy school Karl Emery's
Academy for Young Men. Karl Emery's hasn't been doing too well do to low
enrollment. They were forced to fire all their staff and now only the Headmaster
follows the boys to St. Tristans. St. Tristan's isn't your ordinary school for girls.
There are many quirks about this school from the girls to the Headmaster. The
girls are all very different from one another and there are many cliques, but they
all get along. The older girls might look crazy, but you haven't met the first, second
and third years yet. These girls don't want Karl Emery's to merge with them. They
want their school to stay the way it is. Karl Emery's boys aren't all different like the
girls are. They're stuck up and annoying to these girls. The only boys they really
want around are their Headmaster, Science teacher and two townies that come in
once in a while. These kids are learning some academics, but mostly they're learning
about life. That is what these teacher are there for.

Upsilamba: Thank you very much for your reply! I'll most def be lurking around your site for a while. It looks good, but I'll just check it out before joining! *lurks* Thanks once again! ;]

Puppeteer - July 2, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
hmm, my rpg is a lot off the wall for your request but as you have several similar likes and dislikes described on your list I thought I would try you to see if you might consider CtS.

Fast-forward to the next generation.
The world; it lies in ruins. A shadowed shell of what used to be.
Humanity struggles just to exist, forced to the bottom of the food chain.
Trying to find a new way in the world.

We were battered and broken.
Dragons rule the earth; beautiful in their strength.
They have taken us from the skies. Reigning down their vengeance,
leaving us to pay the price for our ancestor's sins.

Saved by our own mutations.
Some wonder if it was better to live as the lower class or to just die.
To be turned into weapons, no more than slaves to the psionic lords.
To live a life that is not yours to live.

We have been up for a while and have a pretty tight knit group. We love new members and it's easy to fit in. Our Vamps are located in NYC, and are based on the Blue Bloods novels (you don't have to know the books) . Check it out? Good luck in your search

I have to agree with Puppeteer and also say that my site is quite something that isnt included in your list. But it doesnt go against stuff. But, i'll keep in mind that my site is fairly new with a small amount of members, who are willing to invite you to join us!

We're a almost crime-related rp, but we're not really. But let's see how you think of us <3

Las Vegas is where anything goes, and everything stays. All the secret affairs, gambling, it's where people go for time to just have 'fun'. But then, there's always cheaters to this system and sometimes, it's not always fun for everyone else.

Casino: Fatale is a Literate To Advanced roleplay forum about transparant societies underneath all the lights, and the fancy colors that Las Vegas holds. Two teams, FALCON, and RAVEN, oppose each other in pure hatred for one another, or at least, their leaders due to beliefs about the way things should be run. Main mission? To destroy one's organization before the other destroys yours. Some may think it's simple, and each group puts the main goal as 'Protecting Vegas'.

But there's more to the story than a simple fight and protect scenario. It goes into a deep history between the leaders of each team, and the original goal that both teams shared. Differences create enemies, and now you must decide on where your loyalties lie. And is what you're fighting for truely noble?

Puppeteer: Thank you very very much for your post. I've been around your site before...it has an original idea, no doubt. But that isn't exactly what I'm looking for at the moment. I'm terribly sorry, but I don't see myself joining. Thanks for posting though.

Blue Bloods:I never read the books actually.*Feels ashamed* But I do feel somehow interested in your site. It seems interesting! You'll see me lurking around no doubt. And I think I'll join in. Just need to check the place out before applying xD, thank you very much for posting!

LittleRikku: I checked your site. It's very interesting, I can't deny that. But it isn't what I'm looking for. Perhaps any other time I'd join in, but I thought I had listed what I wanted. Thanks for posting though!

let's get one thing straight people, I've listed what I'm looking for at the moment. Has it ever happened to you, going into a shop looking for a long sleeved white shirt; you ask the lady for help, you state what you want, but the lady tries to convince you into buying an orange T-Shirt? (LOL weird situation!) But that's what I'd like to avoid. Your sites may look interesting...but try understanding, I'm searching for a determined thing...or things.

Let’s take a look at the world today, shall we? All over the planet, there are humans who were born with abilities that aren’t all that normal and there are those who weren’t born human at all. The human population is widely ignorant of their existence and pretty much everyone wants to keep it that way. So what do you do with all the little gifted ones running around without control of their respective powers?

To help such youngsters, there are numerous schools that cater to their unique needs. They operate in secret, molding young minds and giving students a nurturing environment in which to develop and control their abilities.

Okay, that’s all fine and dandy, but what if you get expelled? It used to be the end of the story. Once one school got rid of a kid, they were blacklisted and couldn’t attend any other. This situation usually ended badly for the one that got expelled since most never gained control over their ability and there are a many gifted people and non-humans alike that take great pains to keep their little world secret.

What if they never accepted you at all? There are those who were born with abilities others thought were just too dangerous to be allowed in their precious school. Or abilities they just didn’t know how to handle. These children were turned away, often meeting the same fate as expelled students.

Things changed in the late 70’s, though, thanks to a gifted man who managed to survive after being expelled from his abnormal school. And so St. Ambrose School for Wayward Boys came into being, its purpose being to take in any and all of those who were rejected from other schools no matter the reason. Due to this fact, the school is often called:

St. Ambrose School for the Damaged, Deranged, and Strange

I HOPE this applies, but I recently came upon this ad on white pages: http://s8.zetaboards.com/white_pages/topic/8005058/1/#new

(I posted below in case you don't subscribe)

If you love being new, then being a pre-poster seems like it would apply! If not, no hard feelings- It's not mine, just trying to be helpful!

Okay. He’s the deal. Me and a few close friends have been working on this board for the better of…two/three months? And now, we’re about ready to open. There are a few things that need to changed, but all the Rping forms and canon list and rules and what have you are up and ready to go. The thing is, I would like a few canons to be taken before we open, especially a few that we need.

This is where you come in. ^_^ I’m asking for those who would like to join the board NOW, get their pick of said hot canon and start RPing. AS IN LIKE NOW. I need, basically, pre-posters; roleplayers who would get their character up and running before the actual grand-opening of the board. Possibly get a few threads going, some drama happening, give feedback to the admins about what needs to be changed and what’s working and isn’t. yeah. How about we call them Alpha-testers?

Anyhowls, the board is vampire board with hunters thrown in. there are two different classes of vampires, vegan and malkavian. The malkavian vampires are the ones that drink human blood, the vegan vampires are the ones that don’t (duh!). no, they don’t sparkle in the sunlight like SM’s vampires. They actually die when they go into the sun. if you need any more information about the board, you can PM me here or AIM me at howlingout2u.

If you’re actually interested in becoming an “alpha tester,” just reply with a few things about yourself and a sample of your work. I’ll PM the board or any qualms to you.

OH!!!

And I really need a subplot writer. Any takers? PM me. xDD

Avery: Hm, I must say I'm interested in your site! It seems quite interesting...I'll definetly do some serious lurking! xD

lexalove: Thank you very much lexa! I fallowed the link and I actually posted right after you xD. I think I'm very interested in that idea! Thank you very much for showing me the link. =]

Atricea - July 3, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
Genre: Vampires/Gothic
Difficulty: Intermediate/advanced
Type(s) of Creature(s): Vampires, Humans, Slayers, Tokens, (Witches)
Rating: PG13 but there's room for higher rated threads
Number of Members/Activity: We're not entirely new - the board is nearly 7 months old, but very active still
Time where RPG is set in: 2008

Other Notes: It is not Twilight... but definetly Vampires, and definetly - and more importantly for you - it's not just "human girls running after vampire guys", we have a lot of political aspects too, and the constantly ember of war waiting to explode. Relationsships are of course also an aspect of all this, but not it all.

"Blood has always been the coin of our realm."
~Dracula 2000

The Lord of Darkness, Dracula, rose from the dead once more in the year 2007 – and he rose with just one thing in mind. Revenge over the God who denied him death so long ago. Now, in 2008, the Dragulian Empire is for the first time truly expanding, and even more after both all of Africa and Australia submitted to the Vampire rule... and with the help of blood from a witch born with Dracula’s blood – Charlotte Heller, granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing – the Vampires are rising like never before, even able to have children, and walk in daylight. Dark Desires is inspired by the movie Dracula 2000 (but not the sequels), but also referring to many other myths about the greatest living vampire of all times. It is a good idea to have seen the movie, but not a requirement.

Join us in the new dark times, that are certainly increasing – be a part of the new world which our Lord of Darkness, and King of the Dragulian Empire, is trying to create. The threat that waited to be released, is out, and who knows if the Human kind is doomed or not? Who shall you be in this new world, if not a simple Human or one of the Vampires? Perhaps you’d be a Token, supporting the Vampires in their quest for perfection? Or maybe the opposite, a Slayer, trying to restore order in the lately chaotic world? Dark Desires contains a wide variety in characters, and is in general a very friendly community, welcoming even the more odd character types. There is much to see and explore, especially with the world coming close to a change it has not seen for centuries. If you long to know, then the only remaining question is not if, but when you will give in to your Dark Desires?

Welcome to the very lofty and prestigious Northstar Academy.

Located in the mountainous terrain of Alaska, it’s definitely far from average. After all, how many small towns have moose that get the right of way or deer eating your garden. The ever wonderful warnings of bears and how you’re not supposed to feed Romeo the wolf, though everyone does. It’s nice, peaceful town that makes going to the wondrous institute that is Northstar, a little better.

Like any other boarding school there is the problem of students discovering just how free they are around here. Sure they probably won’t go running off to some other city since they’re kind of far away, but no one ever seems ready for their first encounter with the wild. Not to mention, there’s the nasty little habit of kids sneaking off to the club and getting plastered. Missing curfew like bad little children, but that’s still rather nice compared to what goes on in the school.

Inside the sacred halls of Northstar everything is a battle. Ever since the need to divide the students up by names and place them into different houses, there have been massive problems. Perhaps it’s a nice thing that these kids show loyalty for their houses, but it’s not always so sweet and wholesome. In fact, during spirit weeks it’s sheer hell for most. Horribly into their fractions, each one seems to have this superiority complex over the other three. And most teachers look the other way being former students as well. Even still, each house has their own distinct attitude if you will.

No one seems to make as much noise as Grizzly house, though they do seem to get a certain kick out of leaving messes in Eagle house late in the night. Not that Ptarmigan and Wolf don’t help out there as well. But Ptarmigan is also fairly nice, allowing anyone into their halls for a fee. They swear it‘s to keep the vending machine they managed to obtain, well stocked. But compared to the ‘No Outsiders Allowed’ rule of Wolf, they’re down right charming. And Eagle, well, they don’t really do much although some of their students are the prime suspect for the vandalism that tends to occur in other houses.

And while not all of the students of Northstar are so attached to their houses, the other’s are what’s gained the school it’s reputation. After all, no one wants to be dumber then the idiots in Wolf House or worse at sports than those Grizzly slobs. Some say that such need to be better builds character, other’s just think it draws away from what the school should be, a school. But change doesn’t seem to be on the horizon as much as all out war between houses.

Welcome to Northstar Academy, kids. Enjoy your stay.
