I was planning on starting a roleplay set somewhere in a fictional town of Alaska. It was going to be a horror/adultish type thing. Anywho the point of this post was to find out if the name I came up with is taken and if so try to get some feedback on a different one.
The name I had in mind was Blood and Snow, but it sounds familiar. I thought I would check here and see if anyone has been to or has a site by this name. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I have never seen one, for the record. It sounds like a cool name, maybe thats why you THINK it'd be taken. :p

I have a bad habit of seeing something, forgetting about it, then trying to come up with something cool and witty or whatever and it turns out to be something I didn't really come up with... I did a search on here and didn't find anything so I'm about to hit up google..

Just try to register with the name. If it already exists it will say that it's allready taken and you can think of another one.

i have to wait a couple hours before I can register. I don't think it is taken though. I googled it last night and nothing rpg related came up, I could have sworn that I had been to an Anita Blake based rpg called that before though. I guess I could just be imagining though, lol. anyways thanks for the feedback it was really appreciated.

It sounds like the name of that book, Fire and Ice, thats what I thought about when I heard it anyway.

Just because the name was taken doesn't mean it's an active RP. I went to do Junkworld and it was taken, so did Junkworlder instead. The name doesn't have to be exact for the listing. BNS would work as well, and then put the full out name on the banner. Also, I'm from Alaska so if you want to network let me know. I almost joined a RP because it was set there, but I couldn't get over the things that could be easily googled...like Cook Inlet Beach. Cook Inlet mud flats is more like it ;)

Just to add on to what Dusti said above... It also depends on what server new RPs will be registered on. Right now I think it's z4. If there's a z4 board called z4.invisionfree.com/blood_and_snow, then you won't be able to register with that exact name. However, when the servers change, say, to z15, and you want blood_and_snow, that might be available.
