Title: Long Time Rper Looking To Get Back In The Swing
Description: nearly anything mature and advanced

terryn73 - June 28, 2008 06:26 AM (GMT)
Genre:In the past I have done mostly fantasy or modern, I am up for either.
Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced
Type(s) of Creature(s): Nearly anything -- i am not so big on horses (is that even still in, lol?), mutantsand like... trolls.
Preferred Rating: I prefer mature boards -- pg13 and up
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: At least 50, the more the merrrier, as long as they are willing to RP with new members and there aren't so many that new members get lost in the fray.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: None

Other Notes: Okay, so I know that this sounds like a lame request so far, but here is what I am really looking for: I have RPed for nearly 8 years now, and I am done with sites that open, boom and close. I am looking for a site that I can count on to be around for a while with farily steady activity and that HAS NOT just recently opened. I am willing to try almost anything, but I especially enjoy any dark plots/worlds, and Harry Potter, and I usually end up rping gay male characters, so that would need to be OK on the site as well. I am also looking for somewhere with somewhat older members (I am only 20, but still, it is hard for me to connect with 14-year-old-writers) and a more mature board without all kinds of drama flare ups and popularity contests.

So, hit me with your best shot, I'd love to find a place that I can count on.

Hey there!

we are always looking for new members on our Marauders Era RPG. Gay characters are fine, but we have placed a temporary halt to them because we were getting rather a lot! We want to keep the balance between all kinds of characters as Im sure you understand. However, if its an excellent application, I will definitely approve it. We are always looking for teachers, adults and other canons too!

[center]<span style='font-size:10pt;line-height:100%'>WAR is on the horizon. Voldemort's forces are growing in both strength and number by recruiting the young and the disillusioned from within the students of Hogwarts. Those who had chosen the path of darkness will wait until they graduate to take the Dark Mark and plead their eternal alliance to the Dark Lord.

The Marauders are in the 7th and final year at Hogwarts. They are preparing to enter a world where a person can't be sure who is friend and who is foe. They are only sure that they are going to do everything in their power to change the tide of evil and fear that is taking over the Wizarding world.

Which side will YOU choose?

Heya

This is an original fantasy plot. You would be more than welcome here!

The plots are very flexible, in that if you want to be involved you can, but it isn't a requirement.

You can pretty much assume a relationship with whoever you want, everyone is really nice and welcoming, and besides removing spam and deleting rude people, the admins are just like every other member, so the rules are pretty lax.

(When I say Lax, I don't mean that there are one, there are a lot in fact, but the admin are not into enforcing them, They figure having them up scares away a lot of the riff-raff who make RPing no fun, so the ones who stay gt away with murder!)

There are a few members who are super active, three especially are on every day! (*cough* me too) We just had a huge clean out, so it look empty at the moment, but it's getitng full again.

The active active members are all older, and while the other not so active members come and go the few that have been around from the start are pretty sure things.

There are some pretty strict guidlines for applying (the form looks like it belongs in government), but between you and me, they really only looks at the RP's peple submit before accepting or regecting.

Um... other than that I don't know what to tell you!

Hatton Heights

And so it Begins...

Hatton Heights, a small town with a lot of trouble. From the street gangs to the pin up girls, everyone has a secret, and they will do anything to hide it. And I mean anything.

Two years ago, the Mayor of Hatton Heights died suddenly and mysteriously. The new mayor to be appointed soon followed the same path, and the people of Hatton now believe the position of Mayor is an accursed one, never to be filled again, a belief which has been encouraged by Micheal Thomas, the towns Chief Night-Watchman and Emily Larcombe, Headmistress of Hatton Heights and the woman the town looks to for strength during these difficult times. And so life goes on as normal in the small town. Or as normal as possible when you live in a town full of people with extraordinary gifts and powers beyond your wildest dreams.

And now, a Mysterious Journal has turned up in Hatton, and it's got everyone talking. Where did it come form? Who wrote it? And why does Emily Larcombe want to keep it under lock and key?

Truth is, this isn’t just a journal. It is an in depth Record of the people of Hatton Height and all their dirty little secrets. Someone in town knows far more than they should, not that they are sharing their information… yet.

You see, all the names in the records have been changed, and it is impossible to tell who wrote the thing, but Emily and Michael are determined to find out, because if the journal is accurate there are some very guilty people in Hatton Heights.

In a town built to hide a secret, everyone is lying about something. The deception has crept it's way into every aspect of the townspeople's lives, and now, it's impossible to be an innocent victim. Who can you trust when everyone's a threat, where do you turn when everyone's a suspect. Watch your back, it's going to get ugly.

Hatton Heights, Forget what you think you know.

The board is now viewable to guests!

Hope you enjoy!

SmathNa - June 28, 2008 11:33 AM (GMT)
The basics: Thiasa is a historically-based low-fantasy (non-magic) RP. We've got only humans, but several different cultures. At the moment, our plot includes a serf rebellion, the beginnings of a thieves' guild, a war, a human sacrifice, drug dealers, romantic liaisons (of course!), and much more.

Our mean age is 20 :) We are somewhat dark, and we have several gay characters--though two of our cultures don't tolerate homosexuality (in theory--in fact, it was pretty prevalent in medieval times, one which one of our cultures is based), WE, as a board, do. :) We're rated PG-13, R with labeling, and we're pretty loose even there.

We're very active (20-80 posts a day; it varies), and we do have a lot of members--however, you will not get lost in the shuffle. I myself RP with every new member, and most of my members do the same. If anything, you'll be overwhelmed with RP offers. We also have a great OOC community, and our cbox is always very welcoming and a lot of fun.

That said, we do make a few demands of our members in exchange for offering all this: you should read all the site info, make a character who fits in, and do your best to write well. By writing well, I don't mean we'll nitpick your every sentence--but you've got to give us a well-fleshed-out character with plot potential. That's more fun for everyone.

Feel free to hit me up via PM or IM if you have any questions at all. I love to chat with and help out new or prospective members. Best of luck with your search.

Here's our ad, in case you wanted to see that.

Knights and Barbarians, Shamans and Soldiers, Warriors and Priests, Ladies and Whores...

Not enough? We've got more--many of them dependent on your imagination. If you're creative, a good writer, and willing to try something new--this is the site for you.

So just sit back, buckle in, and Prepare for War...

The Baskar call the pale-faced strangers interlopers. They call themselves Thiasans. And they're out to crush the so-called barbarian opposition once and for all in what promises to be a long and bloody war. Barbarians? Just because their warlords marry their own sisters and they worship the sun as a God? The Baskar hardly think so. No, it's the Thiasans who must be conquered, with their castles and manor-houses, their arrogant King and brutal soldiers... their cannons and iron swords...

Come to think of it, the Baskar wouldn't mind getting ahold of some of those superior weapons... illegal arms traders, you say? It doesn't hurt that some of the Baskar are willing to trade a plant called datura--a potent hallucinogen--in return.

Then there's the plot to kidnap and sacrifice the Thiasan King to appease the Baskari Sungod...

...a prospective Queen so ugly she's thrown the country into an uproar...

...and no heir to be seen, apart from the weak and diffident Prince Fergus, the King's younger brother.

Let's face it, we're in trouble.

Welcome to Thiasa.

And for those who've read this much of the ad, some Site Trivia:

-We've won RPG-D's Forum of the Week award--a fairly big deal, apparently.
-We have an amazing new feature, auxiliary characters.
-We had 30 members within a week of opening, and we're still growing (we now have over 100).
-We encourage original characters, as long as they fit into our world.
-We also have so-called 'canon' characters, mostly ones connected to characters we're already playing, and generally very broadly described--often, we won't even assign them a specific age.
-We never require that you use a certain play-by.
-'Thiasa' comes from a Greek word. Ten points if you get the reference.
-Thiasan culture is based on Medieval Italy and France, and Baskari culture is based on the Sioux and the Aztec. Animal spirits and human sacrifice--where can you go wrong?
-A bored college student made up most of the site information. It took longer to compile the information on the Baskar than it took her to write a term paper on the philosophy of consciousness.
-Our cbox is unfiltered. That's right, you can curse in it.
-Come on, you know you want to join now.

Angel-girl - June 28, 2008 11:55 AM (GMT)
Have a look at us too. We've been up and solidly active for more than two years now and we're not closing any time soon. Rating is anywhere from PG-13 on the main board to anything goes in the private adult forums. GLBT characters are not only accepted, they're welcomed with open arms. Our median writer age is somewhere around 22, with our oldest writer being 41, youngest 18. Dark themes are welcomed as well (I'm dying to see someone write a character who can actually pull off a "baddie.")

We started in Rent fandom, post canon, but in the past two years, we've developed into an RL game based in New York which happens to have the canons from that fandom running about. . . You don't need to know a thing about the musical or the movie, since the characters are just characters, nothing more. We're grown up, decent writers, and friendly as can be. Have a look. The banner in my sig's the link.

You're living in America at the end of the millennia. . . and you're not alone.
Alphabet City
We're in the year 1996 and the colorful residents of the East Village in Manhattan are facing the issues which challenge poor Bohemian artists in the mid-90s. Drug abuse, HIV, prostitution, starvation, death, life, and love. However, they find that they aren't alone, friends are all around, and there is always coffee to be drunk, issues to be discussed, and art to be created, good and otherwise. Come join our cast of canon and original characters, featuring a strong sense of community and creativity and find that you're not alone either.
Other notes:Based on the Broadway musical RENT, set post-canon, though slightly AU to keep Angel alive. We have evolved and changed over the past two years from a fandom RP to a RL RP with some fandom characters.  We are lucky to have a great group of OCs who are keeping the plot moving and changing quickly, and we always welcome new writers and OCs with open arms.
We also have a brand new board!  It's pretty and blue and still has that new board smell!!  Come see.  It's pwetty!!!

You didn't specify as to whether highschool/RL was your thing? I'll give it a shot? :p

VH has been open for months and months, but I recently closed it for a good big revamp, clearout, etc, so that's why it looks so empty lol. Care to check us out?

Okay, so as for your requests - I am 24 and most of our staff and members are between 17 and 25 but there are a few older and a few younger. I am a devoted admin as I have been running forums for 10 years and always strive to make them better and keep them running as long as possible. We are PG-13 with R allowed in certain forums and we have a few homosexual male characters. Homosexuality is actually illegal in our world but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen - it just makes it taboo which equals more fun!

Having been open and active for over seven years, RoM most certainly isn't about to die on you. Everyday it seems we get another member, which I think attests to how friendly and non-cliquish it is in spite of the fact that some members have known each other for years. I think that we have a little over sixty members, but everyone is so kind and welcoming you shouldn't get lost. Say hi and five people will respond; post your profile after you've joined and hordes of people will post complimenting your character, offering suggestions, and welcoming you to the site. As unbelievable as it sounds, I don't ever remember any drama or popularity contests on the site; we're extremely fortunate to have such a great group of people.

I can't tell you ages as I honestly don't know, but I think that it's mostly late teens and early twenties, with a couple people older than that (I don't know about younger). There actually is a gay couple already on the site (and there might very well be more that I don't know about), so you're more than welcome to have a homosexual character.

I think that we meet all the requirements that you mentioned, but come and see for yourself. I hope that you decide to join, but if not, then I wish you the best in finding a great site!

Fantasy is Reality . . .

Enter into a world divided.

With the fall of the Guilds, the Realm of Mystery descended into chaos, out of which rose two factions.

Noresh, place of life, preaches truth, justice, and honor.
Noctis, land of dark, tempts with the night’s honeyed poison.

Repelling and attracting, their dance is a delicate balance upon which the fate of the world rests. After all, there could not be night without day, or day without night . . .
. . . could there?

Yet now an even greater threat looms, and the two are caught in a shifty alliance that could fall apart with a single wrong move. Wanderers, unbound by pledges to either side, pursue their own agendas or seek to create their own power base. Others choose to unite with one of the two factions and test their worth from within. The promise to all beings has always been freewill, and the choice can be made only by you.

The Realm of Mystery is a freeform rpg where characters are the ones who create—or destroy—their world. Join Noctis, join Noresh, or set out on your own. Rise through the ranks or become the subtle shadow behind the throne. Throw havoc or negotiate peace—make friends or enemies—control magic or become a master of fighting—be a leader or a follower—blur the lines of reality to suit your needs. Create your character . . . . Create your destiny . . . . Create your world.

As an advanced roleplaying site, a "sample post" application is required to join. Once accepted, you will find active, supportive members who are helpful out of character and skilled roleplayers in character. Very few other sites are as long-running and creative as the Realm of Mystery, and nowhere else have individual members had the power to change and alter their world as they have on RoM. Join us, and learn the true meaning of magic.

    Welcome to Myridia.

Welcome to a small, flourishing metropolis of diverse cultures and knowledge. Welcome to a country of fascinating characters, magic, and wonder. Welcome to a world so familiar, and yet so different. Myridia is a land pressed between two powerful empires. It is a land struggling to survive under the gaze of giants, but had persevered for decades. Its magically gifted population gives it a powerful edge, as well as its strategic geographical position.

    But tides often change…

It is only a matter of time before one of the empires tries to take Myridia as just another prize in their war chest. It is only a matter of time before an empire brings blood and war to Myridia’s gates. This has caused tensions to stir uneasily amongst the proud people of Myridia. They begin to debate on their nation’s next move, with some calling out to submit to either of the greater territories.

Yet the pride of independence rings strong in many of the citizens; whether it be for tradition, for belief, or for pure ignorance.

But intrigue also churns within Myridia’s borders. With an active governance system in which political factions rule, the clashes within Myridia are often more fiery than those outside its borders. Everyone has a say, and political disagreement can often be dangerous, risky, and precarious. Factions fight for dominance, and the ever present guardianship of The Council looms silently.

A land built upon the ambitions, heartache, and passion of its people, Myridia is a place where the smallest of tales can have the most powerful of consequences.

In a land in which all factions have a say, a single voice might just make the difference.

    Will it be yours?
Betrayal. Intrigue. Deception.
M.Y.R.I.D.I.A

Come join us at Myridia! We’ve got an original, exciting plot going, and have many canon position still available-- although original characters are more than welcome. We are a vibrant, active community of role-players, and we’re a great place to indulge in smaller, more personalized character plots.

The Killing Dance may be the place for you. We've been open since November (a lifetime in the rp world, isn't it?) and are very. very active. We're an 18+ board, so you won't find anyone younger than that, and some quite a bit older. We're a close knit group and you won't be finding any drama between us except for in plotlines. Of which, many are dark. We just finished one that culminated in murder and mayhem and was all sorts of fun. (See this post and its replies if you want to see what kind of plots we've run.) Sexual orientation of any character isn't a problem, at all. I think that answers all your points, on to a small plot summary :)

Welcome to Chicago, where the things that go bump in the night could just be your next door neighbor. Ten years ago, vampires and lycanthropes were granted legal status as citizens here in the States, and the world has been trying to adjust accordingly. Humans are still vastly prejudiced against the monsters, however, and there is still very much a dividing line.

Inspired by the Anita Blake; Vampire Hunter series of books, TKD takes place in the world set up therein and that's it. No canon chars, no other knowledge required. You don't need to have read the books as we give you all the info you need.

The link's in my sig.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if our activity is up to par (we have 69 members right now, but only a small handful of them are active), but we're definitely fantasy (medieval), we love new members, and most of the members would be more than willing to start up an Rp with you. And dark is good - we are currently lacking anything particularly dark. If you want, check us out! Presently, I'm in the process of re-working the IC forums, but it won't be affecting Rp in any way, shape, or form.

Elenlond...

A land of mystery, beauty, and power.

In recent times there has been some upheaval as those of the free lands - known as both the Scattered and the Middle Isles - begin to fear the power that the deities exercise over the two main continents, Esiria and Soare. Although no god has endeavoured to conquer the free isles, the people still fear. And there is talk that some have formed groups in Esiria and Soare in support of removing the deities, those who invaded their homeland.

The deities did not choose Elenlond, although they certainly named it. After their original homeland, Mianor, imploded on itself and the world began to devour its own entity, the gods gathered as many of their surviving citizens as they could, pushing them through the largest of the rifts that had begun to form in Mianor. There they travelled, weary from their travels, uncertain of their future.

This time was known as The Great Migration.

It lasted for many weeks - perhaps even months; few kept journals of their journey, and many perished along the way - but eventually, there was an end in sight. The people of the old land plunged into the new and it was named Elenlond. Once they were settled, the people could only breathe:

Our Celestial Haven.

Elenlond has been around for several years, although it recently underwent renovations. Although we sport 60+ members, we are looking for active, dedicated people who will join and help activity to blossom. Our members are friendly, chatty, and we love new people. So, if you're interested, by all means join! We'd love to have you.

People know what life at Hogwarts was like, but has anyone ever wondered what it would be like at one of the other magickal academies located around the world? Well, now is your chance to find out.

Rhiannon Academy is located just outside of the United States of America, and is the place for many of the children in that part of the world to go. It does however feel that people need to be exposed to other cultures as well, and that is why it has opened its doors to people from all countries.

It has all of the normal classes that you would think to find at a magickal academy, like potions and transfiguration and of course flying. It is a place to make friends, find love, and of course learn all about the ways of being a witch or a wizard.

This RP re-opened at the beginning of March 2008 after a short re-vamping and it has been going strong ever since. It is still a really active RP and the admins are around constantly to make sure that things continue running as smoothly as they have since then.

There is still one Professor, tons of Assistant Professors, some Academy Staff, and a few Shopkeepers still available. What we really need are students though! We are wanting to get the Quidditch Season underway, but we need to fill the teams first. The new term has started so come and join in the fun! The headmaster is also open to suggestions for new classes and shops as well, so feel free to send him a PM if you are interested.

So join today! - http://z3.invisionfree.com/RhiannonAcademy

after the success of the real world, mtv has decided to do something new, something huge! so the producers got together, and soon one of the producers revealed that he had been cheating on his wife, and they were going through a divorce. this confession led to the new show. "that's a great idea! the show could be called tell me your secrets!" at first, no one really liked the idea, because it was too big, but soon everyone knew it was going to be a huge hit. the producers sent some people out to every state in the united states, and hold autions for the new show. soon, they found people, and the show was soon made. the show was set to be made in los angeles, were they built a huge mansion, and called it the secret chamber. they did give credit to the people working with harry potter for the name, of course. so, now, everyone's in this huge house. boys and girls. oh, my bad, men and women. they are in this huge house. there's going to be some fights and even some romance. but everyone in america is wanting these people to *tell me your secrets.

We may be a little on the still too young and small side, but our core of rpers are dedicated and we have been together for about a year. We've had a recent move so the physical site is newer, but we don't plan on going anywhere. Otherwise, I think we fit your criteria to a T.

We are an AU HP that is set during the main trios time but where the Dark Lord's first rise to power was successful. So we are, definitely, a darker plot line. Most of our members are older adults though we have a couple younger members that are quite mature in their writing and rping. We also have several gay / bi characters so are open to that. And, we moved to get away from an old site's drama so we definitely don't have that.

So, feel free to take a look.

Everyone made mistakes, even he, Lord Voldemort, did. And, it had been a gross and, at times almost fatal mistake. The Seer's prophecy about the Potter boy had seemed so simple and straightforward and it had distracted Voldemort from the real threat to his rise to power. But, the truth was, there had been nothing special about the boy. Potter had never really been a real threat.

It should have been obvious. The real threat was and had always been Albus Dumbledore. It had been him that had denied Lord Voldemort the ability to return to Hogwarts those many years ago. It had been he that had hid the Potters. Dumbledore had been the one to put the protections on the Dursley house. If Dumbledore could be neutralized, surely any other hindrances could easily be handled.

The task was simple. Go back and eliminate the real threat before it could thwart him so readily in the years to follow. Eliminate the Dumbledore bloodline before it could meddle in the true fate of the wizarding world.

The world had been as it was when he'd retired that evening. But he went to sleep, trusting that the time turner had worked. The Death Eater had reached their destination and the mission would be completed successfull. When the Dark Lord had awoken the next day to a delightfully different world, he needed no reports to know that the mission had been successful. The Dumbledore's had been eliminated, their world had been claimed and no one seemed aware of this drastic change that had occurred to their world.

It was clear things had changed. England, and indeed the whole world, had woken to a whole new reality the next day. It was a world in which the Dark Lord’s Death Eaters had been in control since their first claim of power in the early 1970s. The muggle class served the superior wizarding class and the Dark Lord enjoyed supreme rule over Great Britain. With Grindelwald alive and in power in continental Europe, they were well on their way to a superior wizarding race.

Most people are unaware of the change in history and situation. For most of them, they just have the memories of the current version of history, those having overwritten any memories of an alternate reality. On occasion, small percentages of people may experience a strange flashback or dream or something else that hints that things may have been different. But, such flashbacks are fleeting and frequently written off as wishful thinking.

What is Fires At Midnight?

Our world takes place during the year 1997, when the main trio would be in their sixth year in the Harry Potter books of J.K. Rowling. In our world, in an attempt to secure his place of power, the Dark Lord sent one of his followers back in time to eliminate the Dumbledores before Albus and his siblings are born. In a world absent of Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald rises to power in continental Europe while, later, Lord Voldemort rises to power in England.

We welcome folks that are new to the HP world and RPGing in general. While the basic plot of this RP is based on the HP world, there have been many changes to the history, characters and Harry Potter universe. So, there is plenty of room for you to find your own storyline, even if you aren't caught up in the Harry Potter mania.

Over two decades ago, Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort destroyed each other in a climatic struggle now known as the Final Battle. In a society overrun by chaos and fear, the world was left to pick up the pieces, struggling to start again- to rebuild. For a time, things returned to a sense of normality. For a time, people were safe.

That time has long since ended. Out of the ashes, three siblings chosen by Voldemort to be His Heirs have risen to command the scattered Death Eater populous, forming an army to rival even that of their forefather. At first the Heirs were only spoken of in rumors, but over time things have begun to go downhill. Wizarding schools all over Europe began to decline, shutting down mysteriously and leaving people with fewer and fewer places to go. Though out of sight, the dark forces were at work again.

One woman, a young auror by the name of Elisa Monelli, chose to make a stand in the face of the new wave of darkness. She discovered the ruins of the ancient Eterna and in the year 2017 she converted them into a school- built to protect and to teach the youth of the world to fight the power of His Heirs.

user posted image

Anima Eterna's was not a peaceful existence. From day one, the school's boldness in the face of the new dark lords resulted in it becoming a prime target, and the fortress became filled with plants and spies. The end of its first year was greeted with an attack from His Heirs. Many were injured.

In its short time running, deaths, injuries and disappearances have become common occurrences, leaving AE as both a safe haven and a well known disaster area. The truth is that nowhere was safe anymore and, encouraged by the school's ability to persevere, more and more students began turning to it as a place to go.

But the wizarding world is falling apart once more. His Heirs became more aggressive with their attacks, and in November of 2018 Beauxbatons was brought to the ground by a large scale Death Eater assault, as well as Isla de la Paz, a major school in Brazil. The Ministry was helpless, and people were afraid. People died every day as a result of the oncoming war.

user posted image

Before the Eterna were wiped out so many years previous, they left something behind. Somewhere in the school is the key to the ancient magic they once possessed, locked away and abandoned. Along with this is a warning, a prophecy, founded back in the days that the Eterna lived. It is believed that it speaks of the modern Anima Eterna, and its role in the new war.

This prophecy was delivered to the school by a host of spirits- the ghosts of the Eterna that died. It names Anima Eterna as a saviour, as well as the holder of their powerful magics. The Heirs now know of this power's existence, and in an attempt to claim it the school was almost destroyed, but yet again AE survived to see the next day against all odds.

user posted image

The Death Eaters blazed forward, taking down their opposition piece by piece. But even as they began to dismantle the wizarding world in their own manner, other forces were hardly content to allow this. Hidden from the wizarding world, a group of underground revolutionists calling themselves the Order were also on a quest for power; a melting pot of reformed Death Eaters truly searching for a better world and a pack of radicals searching for personal glory joined together to form the organization that shook the wizarding world more violently than their Death Eater predecessors ever had. In May of 2020, in a series of simultaneous, surprise speeches, the Order revealed its successful takeover of the Ministry of Magic itself, thereby destroying all that Anima Eterna’s inhabitants have ever known.

The wizarding world has never been more fragmented. The Order is holding the reigns for now, but the Death Eaters surely will not go down without a fight. Well meaning vigilantes have come together to make the Initiative, a group intent on defeating the dark forces the aggressive way, prepared to defy the law in order to save wizarding society. Muggles, too, have begun to notice the turbulence in the magical world, and despite their ignorance to its nature some are prepared to take action; even the Mafia has rolled up its sleeves and is gearing up for battle.

Then there are the inhabitants of Anima Eterna at the center of it all, the weight of the world thrown upon their shoulders. In this time of trial they will look back to their original purpose- to be an army against the new wave of darkness. Will the power left behind by the Eterna bring their salvation, or will they be overwhelmed?

RELIGION!

"BLIMEY," said Harry Potter, shoveling another forkful of Molly Weasley's fried egg and bacon omlette into his mouth. "Blimey, Ginny, I think we've really got it right this time!"

Ginny blew out an exasperated sigh from where she stood at the kitchen sink of the Burrow, scrubbing dishes. "You don't have to be ready for a meeting with the Bulgarian ambassador in fifteen minutes," she answered crossly. "He's quite daft, and he doesn't speak much English, and it's all really frustrating."

Harry shook his head. "But you're the Minister of Magic!" he pointed out. "You've got all this power. And I feel much cleaner now that I'm out of the position. I think this was a really good idea."

"What?" Ginny asked hotly, putting a few dishes in a cupboard. "You had a halfway-conscious, surrealistic epiphany the moment you won the war, and now you've gone and tried to make it into organized prayer? You think that's a good idea? You've gone bonkers, Harry."

Harry wasn't even listening. "It's wondrous, it's glorious! We're responsible for saving the souls of millions of people!" he cried. "Eminence is beautiful."

Ginny raised her eyebrows. "I don't trust it," she said candidly. "It's too happy. Religion shouldn't be happy. There's something wrong with a religion that's so happy."

Harry flashed her a beatific smile. "Come on, you know that you love being worshipped as the superior sex. Whatever happened to the fiery feminist with the poster of Gwenog Jones in her room?"

Ginny sighed. "It's still there. Damn you."

"You can't damn me, there's no hell to damn me to now. Care for a pancake?"

-

Harry Potter has found religion. Eminence gives complete power to females of all ages. Harry himself, Minister of Magic, stepped down from his position and bestowed it upon his wife, Ginny Potter. Eminence is spreading like wildfire - women like it because it's finally an opportunity to flourish in dominance, and men love it because they're required to quit their jobs and stay home with the children, and they're forbidden to do any important housework lest they sully something. There is no hell, there is only a heaven, and there are no prayers, there are only songs.

Of course, there is the matter that everyone who converts to Eminence willfully tends to become a bit loony, slightly off their rocker, just a little left or right of center. But why worry about the future, when you can have bliss, happiness, and unconditional forgiveness in the here and now?

SCANDAL!

""BLIMEY," said Draco Malfoy, fluttering through the Daily Prophet. "Cornelius Fudge and Rufus Scrimgeour were married on Thursday."

Astoria tutted as she flipped through the Quibbler. "It says here that Sacharissa Tugwood, the inventor of that beauty potion that you bought me last Christmas, has killed herself. They think it's got something to do with that man she was accused of killing a couple of months ago. The one who turned up two weeks later, without a clue as to where he had been. What was his name? Wood?"

"Oliver Wood," Draco agreed, and then his eyes widened. "What the hell? The Dark Ladies: Unmasked and Unforgivable? They're making spinoffs of Lord Voldemort?"

"Percy and Arthur Weasley are in Azkaban?" Astoria exclaimed in surprise. "For what?"

"Trying to break into Gringotts, apparently, although they're denying it thoroughly," Draco answered thoughtfully.

"Shush, you two!" shouted Scorpius from the living room, where he was plopped in front of a Muggle television. "Bellatrix has just found out that she's pregnant, but she's not sure whether the baby is Harry's or Voldemort's!"

-

The wizarding world is running amok. Former Ministers of Magic are hooking up and running off to the south of France for their honeymoons. People are disappearing for weeks at a time, and waking up again in their own beds with no recollection of the time they'd been away. Upstanding citizens are being accused of crimes they didn't commit, but the evidence is stacking up against them. Sitcoms and soap operas are mocking the drama, and stirring up trouble in the minds of the people.

Everyone's restless, anxious for somebody to come out and explain the unexplainable. And everyone is frightened that they might be the latest victim in this horrifying chain of strange and unfortunate events.

POLITICS!

"BLIMEY," screamed Hermione Weasley, running back into the house that she shared with Ron. "The Ministry has gone mad! Ginny's trying to control it, but nobody's listening to her!"

Ron strode out, holding their one-month-old baby on his hip. "What's going on?" he inquired, concerned.

"Some people are saying that the Ministry of Magic has been re-infested by Death Eaters, and that the heir to Voldemort is at Hogwarts. Wizengamot has decided to try every single student that's currently at the school, starting in September." Her eyes were stinging with tears. "What about Hugo?" she mourned. "What about Rose? They're imprisoning anybody who's even remotely suspected! What if they take our children?"

Ron shook his head, a steely edge tinging his glare. "I won't let them, Hermione," he said fiercely, shifting the baby's weight. "We'll take them to Ireland if Wizengamot calls them. Come September, they'd better be left alone, or we're withdrawing them from Hogwarts and moving."

Hermione nodded silently, biting her lip. "All right," she agreed finally. "I suppose we'll wait and see what happens."

-

Someone in the Ministry of Magic seems to think that Lord Voldemort's reincarnation is attending the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Wizengamot has taken up the challenge of calling in students, one by one, to be thoroughly investigated and interrogated for any suspicious activity. Slytherins bear the brunt of the blame, but nobody is exempt from the Wizengamot's subpeonas. And if the court has even the slightest bit of doubt, then you're facing at least a week cooling your heels with the dementors, subjected to various painful tests to make sure that you're not Tom Riddle reborn.

Parents everywhere are on their toes, ready to whisk their children away if Wizengamot calls them. Nobody at the school is feeling quite safe. And, of course, there's always the lingering question. What if Wizengamot is right?

Based on James Cameron's Dark Angel, a TV show about a post apocalyptic future, where being created in a lab - soldiers, to be precise - are on the run from the 'normal' people. Whilst you said you're not too big on mutants, you do not have to play one, or interact with one. In fact, you're allowed to hate them with a passion. ;) That's a main plot for some of the show canons. If you're interested, check us out!

Halo Conflict

http://z15.invisionfree.com/HaloConflictRP/index.php?act=idx

Based after the events of the Halo Trilogy, Conflict adds a totally new story to the Halo Universe. After the Human-Covenant War, most thought that the storm had passed and Humanity could become peaceful agian. However, thats not how we tend to work. Like the troubled times before the Great War, civil strife and rebellion started up agian.

With the governments of Humanity in shambles, early attempts to rebuild them were met with corruption and lack of authority. The UNSC took it upon themselves to become the Government of Humanity instead, leading to some rejection by the people under it.

Around 2558 a splinter faction named the United Colony Command split from the UNSC, claiming that the UNSC was corrupt and was not the government of the people. In the first round of the war, nuclear warfare was used on colonies. This was in the Paris Battles. This consisted of skirmishes across the Colonies that ended up in nuclear warfare being used.

By 2569, both sides are locked in a seemingly everlasting battle spanning all of Human Controlled space.

You must join the fight, and pick between two sides that are neither good nor evil. Will you be able to participate in a Civil War and kill your fellow humans only 13 years after the end of the single most horrible war in Human history?

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a school of magic for those between the ages of eleven and eighteen. Thousands of students call this castle their second home, and with the extensive grounds, it is not hard to guess why. Some are returning, some are beholding it’s wonder for the first time, but all are still stunned by its high walls and sky skimming towers. However in all their souls they know one other thing that makes them so eager to reach the castle. It is now the safest place on earth. Lord Voldemort’s reign of terror has struck fear into the hearts of many, ripped families apart and is still spreading at an alarming rate. Almost every night the dreaded Dark Mark can be found hovering over a new dwelling and the violence is getting worse.

user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image

Everyday the newspapers are filled with more disappearances, more murders and more tales of horror and pain. Everyone clings to their loved ones in hopes of keeping them safe, some have even stopped their children returning to Hogwarts for fear they won’t be safe there either. Yet inside those high walls the teaching continues. The Staff are trying to make a special effort to run as normal but with more students receiving news of their parent’s deaths or kidnaps it is an up hill struggle. To everyone it seems every morning another black envelope is dropped into a lap. However there is one group of people not changed by the outside world, and intent on keeping things the same. The Marauders. Everyday it seems another stink bomb or minor explosion erupts in the corridors and the mood began to lighten in response. The halls of Hogwarts were once more filled with laughter and the happy chatter of teenage gossip as tension eased after a few weeks. The letters even seemed to stop for a few days at a time. The students in Hogwarts convinced themselves they were safe and focused more on their studies whilst their loved ones fought for their lives outside, after all it was hard to think of a war when an indoor fireworks display had just erupted in front of your eyes.
user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image

But are they truly as safe as they think? It appeared not so when a scream rang through the air one night, cutting off after a few seconds. Staff and students alike sprung from their beds and raced towards the sound, only to be greeted with a sight that make most want to turn away and pretend it was a bad dream. A body in Hogwarts. It was a small girl, a first year they discovered later, a muggleborn that had been struck down with an Advada Kedavra curse. Terror once more spread and everyone was advised to travel in packs, to not be alone, for the Hogwarts body had a murderer in it’s midst. Despite an investigation the crime was never solved and this has made it all the worse. Now everyone of non-pureblood is terrified of being the next victim. No one is safe inside or out of those walls. Everyone is clinging to threads of hope that are disintegrating with everyday and even the light mood of the Marauder's can't completely ease the tension now. Someone will be next, the question is who?

Unsure if Little Jimmy is right for you?

A small town with about 8,000 good hard working Southern folk in it. Football Nights are like a religious holiday here. The girls pretty themselves up for a wild night of partying and sex every Tuesday and Thursday. When Monday rolls around, the kids are caught skipping to hang out at Montana’s or City Limits. Sometimes, the braver ones dare to go to McDowell’s Hole.

Twenty years ago, a program was re-introduced into Little Jimmy's perfect world. Honky Tonk Angels. An association where they took young high school students who had found themselves in trouble with the law and the harsher ways of life out of NYC into the country. There the students were placed with foster families for the year as they worked with the kids to straighten out their lives. The program still thrives today with the children of the original lifers and angels. Unfortunately much like the Little Rock, Arkansas disaster some of the folks in Little Jimmy aren't so...

Welcoming. The older families in town aren’t so welcoming towards the newcomers as some nasty words have been flying back and forth. It seems the town’s secrets of racism and prejudice seem to be leaking out at every turn. A team of low-end FBI agents has come to Little Jimmy in hopes of keeping the peace. However, can years of hatred and prejudice slip away like the wind? Or will relationships be tested and lines crossed?

2013.
What an unlucky number.

"My name? Oh... it's not really safe to say now, is it? Sorry. But it's best to stay anonymous
when you're talking about things like this; particularly as my house was broken into last week.
I'm not feeling sorry for myself, not by far; it happened to my friend too. The crime rate started
to shoot up here in London in about 2010 and it just kept going. The authorities can't really
handle it. Why don't we move? Because it's the same everywhere else; London just happens to
be where I stay. So many people are mugged near me now and there was even a murder only
five minutes from where I stay. It's unsafe and I can't even let my kids out of the house. I mean,
there was once a time where I could stroll down the street without clutching my kids' hands and
holding my handbag tight to my chest in case someone should try and grab it."
Welcome to London.
Your own personal hell.
Everyone's own personal hell.

Imagine crime shooting up to a ridiculous level. Imagine being
afraid to walk down the street. Imagine the breaking of the law
around you every day. Imagine the authorities losing control.
Imagine the punk movement's utter dream and your worst nightmare.
You my friend, are imagining 2013.
Watch out or you may end up with
BULLETS IN THE BACK.

Bullets In The Back is a hopefully successful attempt at a crime RPG
where crime actually does happen and the events actually are realistic
for the future but pretty horrific. The roleplay is advanced and we are
an originals only roleplay, believing in true freedom with characters.
We are R-rated so be sure you can handle violence. Hope to see you there!

THE YEAR IS 2057

Harry Potter had a dream, and in that dream he saw purebloods, halfbloods, and muggleborn children getting along. After he defeated Lord Voldemort, he believed that that dream would soon become a reality. Peace came over the wizarding world, and everyone believed that things were finally beginning to come together. Harry had his children, felt pleased with what he had done, and stepped down to let those of the next generation continue what he had strive to achieve. Even Kingsley Shacklebolt, the Minister of Magic, stepped down and handed the reigns over to the next Minister. This Minister happened to be a Pureblood, but he was perfect for the job, or at least we thought he was.

Hidden agenda, that's what they called it. His name was Septimus Flint, and while he looked like the best candidate for the job on the outside on the inside Flint still had some of that Pureblood prejudice in him, though he honestly tried to suppress it and rule justly. Then there was, of course, the fact that Septimus Flint was too weak of a Minister. Enter Jove Montague, the leader of the Mors Mortis and best friend to Septimus Flint. For a long time the Mors Mortis was simply a club for Purebloods who believed that they were still, to put it bluntly, the shit. With Flint's love for his best friend, and Montague's need for vengence, Flint was thrown into a very deadly situation. He had the choice - the wizarding world, or his best friend. Unfortunately, he chose the latter which resulted in the little Pureblood fanclub to become a full-blown deadly force - much deadlier than the Death Eaters ever were!

Soon the halfblood and muggleborn people were being caught in raids, and rounded up like sheep. Septimus Flint could only look on in shock and disgust as his best friend went on this bloody rampage, but he could only do so much for the poor people. It was his decision to keep the now fearful people in the wizarding world instead of throwing them out to fend for themselves, its was his decision to keep Jove from killing them all off by having what he considered "a fair trail". Despite all of this, he was silently pleased that the Purebloods were once again on top, though he didn't enjoy the bloodshed. Many lost their lives in the first few raids, and it caused an uproar. Some time after those raids Septimus lost his wife, Drusilla. Albus Potter was brought to have a trail on suspicion of these charges, and was soon put to death - put to death by a bunch of Purebloods.

Since then, things have quieted down a bit. Those of "impure blood" are too afraid to do anything that may cause a riot, especially with the Mors Mortis as deadly as they are. However, one man has finally had enough. His name is Gideon Sloper, the son of Lily Potter who lost her life after a raid gone wrong. He is sick of this injustice, and since Septimus Flint refuses to do anything about it, he and a group of rebels have decided to take it upon themselves to bring this world back to the way that it used to be, back to the way that Harry Potter dreamed it would be. So the question is, are you born to resist?

I run a forum that offers three different settings and the possibility for playing whatever the heck you want at any time, so I figure that satisfies your "anything" requirement. We have about 10-12 members of varying levels of activity but they respond very nicely to new members with enthusiasm.

Here's just a blurb about our Original Fantasy. I wish you luck in your search as well. :) If you're active enough we're also in the process of finding new staff! :)

The Dreams of Kelare

Welcome to Kelare, an original fantasy world of numerous opportunities. It is a world of five continents, each with races both established and undiscovered- as players are allowed to create their own races. It is a world where powerful god-like Immortals, known as Landrians, meddle in the affairs of the mortal races as they have developed civilizations after a meteor-like embodiment of darkness known as Haate crashed into the world, breaking the one Great Continent into five parts. With this catastrophe, dark creatures known as Devils and Demons have created a link to the world, and the constantly yearn to emerge from their prisons in the Underworld and Abyss to exact chaos or control over the sentient races of Kelare.

It is a world in need of exploration, where brave souls can join others in creating nations and expanding the knowledge of the world. Players can create countries, races, animals and whatever else exists in Kelare in a co-operative, creative environment. For now, this is only a minor sampling of what each continent of Kelare can offer intrepid and creative players.

Zebitha- Like the Great Continent before it, Zebitha was broken into two parts as the result of powerful magic wielded by two powerful Empires, Ravanon and Ardisia, which were influenced by the Immortals who wielded the power of Destruction and Greed. In the end, destruction vanquished greed, and left the continent a shadow realm that allowed the demons of the Underworld to walk the earth under dark clouds. The few brave souls who survived the break find themselves in small communities that work desperately to survive and reclaim the land that was once theirs from the creatures of the night. Will they survive?

Tyra- When the human nation of Ardisia arrived in Tyra, they were welcomed by the non-humans living there, and they used their magic to construct them many gifts. However, after interactions with beings from the Abyss, the human kingdom was once more swayed by dark beings. A Great War was fought with all the non-human realms and eventually the Toladrans are driven out. As the Alliance tries to divide the spoils of that war, the Alliance finds itself disintegrating. Is there hope for the Alliance?

Jurada- A once democratic Republic of Jurada has been upset by the assassination of its elected Emperor, and his son, also elected by corrupt Senators, abolished the role of the Senate and has begun a tyrannical regime where the human majority has enslaved the minority races with the help of the refugee Toladrans, who wield incredible magical power and weapons. However, a small resistance movement of humans and another race known as the Sotari, seeks to restore the liberty that all people of Jurada once shared by the people. The arrival of new allies from the continent of Faenor offers hope, but will the dark magic being created by the Empire’s top mages threaten all hope for freedom?

Faenor- Much like the Juradan allies they have made, the Caius family comes from a land where an Emperor has fallen. Unlike their counterparts, the Ishida family, the Caius family looks to subjugate the other nations by looking to the future by going against tradition and using logic to create new weapons and technology. It is a clash of Gunpowder and old Samurai traditions, in a battle that regardless of outcome should change the entire face of Kelare.

Ispar- A continent, much like Zebitha, that hasn’t been fully explored and discovered by nations from the other continents. Those that have visited these mysterious lands call it the Land of Immortals, where some of the most powerful races live in a constant state of war because of a meddlesome Immortal that covets Chaos. Will there ever be unity in this rugged and wild land? Or will Chaos reign supreme?

These are just the suggested plots for some of these continents, and we are ever-hungry for new writers to join our community and add to the endless wonders and depth of our original fantasy world. Also, if you’re interested in other forms of role-playing we have two other settings, San Lucas (a modern/Vampire and Lycan/big city setting) and Caillus (another setting currently under development)

If you’re interested, please PM me or join us at the link provided below.

We are rather established where our members are set and they know that we are always going to be around. It's unique and we are all very friendly. :] Come check us out and see what you think.

Living life in a shroud of secrets isn’t easy. Especially when the biggest secret you’ve got is that you have magickal powers and a war between good and evil is a never ending conflict between witches and demons.

In the massive city of Chicago there’s a life out there that very few can even start to imagine; a life full of potions, spells, and magick that an everyday person can’t see, or chooses to ignore. With a battle like this raging in our streets how can we possible live regular lives? No one expects anyone to be normal, but this abnormality is a wonder in itself.

Now in the height of magical growth and in the infancy of this new millennium there is a new generation of witches, warlocks, demons, white lighters, dark lighters, and cupids. Sure most of them are trying to just get by but many are trying to change the world; for the better or even for the worse.

Chicago is a jungle, a war zone of traffic, pollution, culture, and art, but this… this city is where magick is our reality.
