Moving On
Crop circles in the carpet
Wet eyes
Dry lips
Is it really so?
Can't we work this out?
No. Moving on.
Hold me goodbye
Once smiling faces, frowning
Letting go, moving on.
Long, busy road
New city, new hope
New faces, new smiles
Children playing in their McMansions,
consoling bottles, blurry eyes.
Scattered faces on the wall
Pleasure moments from happier times
No tears, no sorrow
Just longing and loneliness.
Moving on? Maybe.
Friendly words, not enough
Well-wishing, angry wishing
Salty tears
Relapse
Lust, desire, passion, hunger
Need
No. Moving on.
New heart, glowing
Once frowning faces, small smiles
Gentle touches, holding hands
Big smiles
Let go, moved on.
Friends.
