Title: What's In A Name?
Description: Activity/Interest Problem

Or what's not in a name? Lately, my fantasy role-playing website has been going through some hard times. We've been around since 2006 and we've been moderately active throughout the years; however, recently I feel as though the website is slipping back into a twilight phase. It's quite frustrating because it seems that in spite of our best efforts to improve it we are unable to get new members to become interested or stay. A few old members are still around but they're quickly loosing interest as well. And frankly I can't invest the time or effort into a website where there is no interest. So I guess this is my last ditch attempt. I need you guys to give me some help. What do I do to make it appealing and not appalling?

I really am clueless in this matter... I've lost eleven boards of my own - so I don't make boards anymore.

I woudl suggest, however, that you ramble around the net looking for places to advertise... as many sites as you can namely

Thanks. Lack of advertisement is probably a major problem. xD

What I'd do... is see about promoting a good member on the board - someone who has done a lot of work but hasn't really gotten anything besides thanks - and give HIM or HER the job. Tell them the board needs to be advertised and then thank the heck out of them when they do it ;)

Good member tactics and board advertisement in one foul swoop
