I got pickpocketed. Some shit bumped into me and took my sidekick slide from my bag. I haven't even had it for a full month! I have more than 200 contacts on it and now I have NO phone. Even better is I just went back to my old job as an assistant producer and I start work tomorrow. I would need to make phonecalls 24/7. AND NOW I DON'T HAVE MY COLLEAGUES' NUMBERS.

My only hope that is he/she would sell it on ebay when he/she doesn't know how to get past the activation screen (my phone is unlocked and on a different network). Sob.

If you left your sidekick visible enough for someone to pickpocket, then it is quite likely that it got totally plucked from you. Probably pawned too.

Sucks, but if you live in a big city, it happens.

It only happens if you think it won't happen to you because instantly you're less careful. Phones--keep them zipped. The closer to your body, especially the inside, the better. Keep your mits on your phone, in a pocket or whatever when you're in a crowded area. Don't over-handle them and if you're going to sling them in your pocket, shove your hands in there, too.

Other than that, I hope you have yourself some insurance that'll cover the theft.

Maaan that sucks for you. I've never experienced anything being stolen or even the worry of it, because I live in NZ and it's too small to have that much crime.

It proves the worth of skinny jeans, though. If you'd been wearing them and had your phone in your pocket no one would be able to get your phone without your butt feeling it.

No one would have been able to get it out of your pocket without getting their fingers ripped off in the process. Those things look horribly tight.

Ick. I got a Sidekick Slide back in January. And I freak out about getting things stolen [cause some shitbag in my Law Class took my iPod. Oh the irony.] so I got a cell phone charm and added a second connector that went to my belt loop <<;; . Plus, the thing never leaves my pocket unless I'm at home or using it. I've had minor panic attacks because I've thought I lost my phone but its just in the opposite pocket x.x

Did you have the weird T-Mobile insurance on it?
