Title: [S] Moderators

Hope this hasn't been asked before...

Alright, so I set up an NPC account to deal with item purchases on my forum. Character inventories are created after items are bought and are locked to prevent people from posting on them. I've set up this NPC account as a moderator of all of these shop forums, yet, when I go to edit a locked topic (to add new items to the list), it says that I can't because it's locked. But if I change this NPC account to a super mod, I can do it. Does anybody know how to fix this, or is it just something freaky with IF? It's annoying me because I DON'T want this account to be listed as a mod >>; I just want it to be able to watch its specific forums and to be able to do all of the things a mod can in said forums.

Thanks!

Try creating a specific member group and give it the permissions to moderate what you need it to moderate and then put that NPC in the group.

I have done that, which is why I'm so confused as to why it won't let me post in locked topics with that account. I mean, it's not a big deal if I have to set it to be a super mod or anything, but it's somewhat annoying that I have to do that in order to edit locked topics >>;

Hmm... I never knew forum mods couldn't edit locked posts.

If you really don't want to make them super mods, why not just unlock the thread, edit it, then lock it back?

I thought about that too. XD And it just seems like a big pain in the ass when I could switch to my main account and edit it that way without hassle, though that too is a pain in its own way at times. Still, I think I might just switch the user to super mod status. It was just something I came across and was wondering if it could be fixed.

Thanks for the help. =)
