Title: Image Hosting

I was just wondering what image host you thought was best and why. Normally I use Photobucket and have found it to be pretty good, but this thread shows that even the seemingly best of services have problems *sigh*. Plus, Photobucket only hosts images, not other types of files, which can sometimes be a bit annoying.

So what's your favorite? Any hidden diamonds out there?

I personally have never had any problems using photobucket, but there are lots of places you can use to host files.

tinypic for instance is very good because you don't have to register and its free. The downside is you have to keep track of the image urls yourself or you won't be able to find it again. ;)

Also, there's this nifty little feature on most boards that lets you upload files to the board itself. ;) You can disable it for members and save it for administrators and host stuff right on your site if you need. :p

As you said, the best services have problems. You can't just shove them off just for being hacked lol.

Anyway, I've used photobucket since day 1 that I started uploading pics. I've tried imageshack, but I just don't like how that works. I have serveral photobucket accounts ^_^

I use photobucket but not so much anymore. Since all the 'fancy' upgrades it stopped working o my computer >.>
I just throw things on my server these days.
If I'm not around an FTP program I'll use photobucket or imageshack.

I don't like using photobucket anymore because I get intimidated by the 'bandwidth exceeded' image they put in place when.. well, when you exceed your allowed bandwidth.
I myself have never had that problem, but. ._. Yeaaaahhh.

I use tinypic for absolutely everything. And I save just about everything on my computer - file packrat w00t - so if I lose the url, I just reupload the image itself.
That's been the most reliable for me, methinks.

I spread my images across 3 different image hosting sites, so if one goes down, I don't lose them all. I have a system - so icons at one, banners at another, etc.

I use Imageshack (my favourite!) Photobucket (I have 2 photobucket accounts) and finally, Picpile. The last is the newest, but not my favourite, it seems to take longer to load pics.

XD I can't really say that I have come across anything better then Photobucket.. And the fact that I never had a problem with them ever, I can't say that I don't like them in any kind of way lol

I also have my own website and sometimes if I get the nerve I'll host some stuff on my own site too but eh.. I like Photobucket way better for some reason, I guess its cause its very easy to upload your pics.

As for files such as music.. I use File Den which them I am kind of iffy about, though I never had problems with them either I just am not entirely fond of it though lol

I've always just used Photobucket, unless the image only has to go up temporarily and PB's down. It annoys me because of all the extra features they've added which slow everything down and make it pretentious, but I've been putting images on there for years and moving them all would be a mammoth effort. Anyway, they aren't so bad. Just slow.
