Anyway, today I got on to look at one of my sites and all the images were down, so I went to photobucket to see what was going on and the site seems to have disappeared.
Does anyone know if they are just having downtime, or is this a permanent thing?
Seems kind of weird, considering they were just recently making all those (annoying) upgrades and modifications. This could be potentially inconvenient for a lot of us too.

I can get on and my images seem to be showing up, but someone on my board did make a comment about not being able to see images not long ago, so I dunno.

My images are all on photobucket and they appear to be okay.
But another friend of mine online said that they weren't working for him either. :/
Maybe it'll pass?

Photobucket's site was hacked by some Turkish group yesterday. Apparently it was a DNS hack so some people were still able to access the site. I think they've fixed the issue by now, though.

Not sure if it's working by now, but you're not the only one. My friend commented on not being to see any of the images we had showed her from photobucket.

It's all OK for me.

Have you been able to see your Photobucket pictures yet? Mine has been fine for weeks -- no downtime at all as far as I'm aware.

Mine are fine. The ones who can't see their images might be on a server they are having problems with. It's just like these board forums, where sometimes only those on a certain server are down. Maybe you should report it if there's someplace you can do that.

No, it is not a server problem. Photobucket was hacked into. It is a DNS hack, so it only effects certain people and their IP's. Sort of like when Invisionfree was having those issues a few weeks ago. Where only a few people could see the boards and some people couldn't get on. As far as I know, Photobucket has yet to make a statement about the issue, or when it is going to be resolved. However, if they HAVE fixed the problem, it will take a while for your IP address to register it. As of the moment though, it is still not working for me or a lot of people I know.

Photobucket was fine for me most of yesterday, all of my original images show up and what not, but I uploaded some things yesterday and now it doesn't work. I'm sure whatever problems they're still having will be fixed eventually, but it's just a tad annoying since I need those particular graphics to get some work done, and I don't care for other image hosts.

I haven't had any issues at all with Photobucket. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
