Title: Smells
roleplay - June 13, 2008 10:13 PM (GMT)
I love all the smells that are associated with summer. I love the smell of fireworks, barbeques and especially sprinkler water. During the cold months, the thing I miss the most is that sprinkler water smell. It reminds me of running through the water when I was a kid.
I like the smell of new things, especially new books. I usually end up spending more time sniffing my books rather than reading them though.
what's your favorite smell ?
DarkRiku435 - June 14, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
hmm... My favorite smell...
I rather like the smell of the leaves in the fall, it's crisp and sharp.
I also like the smell of spring leaves, when they're finally fully grown on a light windy day.
For spices, I like cloves until they give me a headache.
I also like the smell of books myself o-o And Shoe polish.
Yeah, thats all I can actually name. All the others are unknown and mixed scents.

I love the smell of barbecue smoke, the ocean, and the rain! And laundry fresh from the dryer. :]
Jalynn - June 16, 2008 03:05 AM (GMT)
Barbecuing, the ocean, freshly cut grass {even though it makes me sneeze} black cherry candles by mainstay from Wal*mart, spearmint toothpaste.
LittleRikku - June 16, 2008 03:58 AM (GMT)
I like the smell of bread...like, warm french bread. It just soothes me, which is weird, because it's food..but its good. o-o
And laundry detergent is nice too...like clean clothes out of the drier, or when you hug people with clean smelling clothes [and to top it all off, shampoo]...man, its awesome.

You know that wonderful smell right after rain ends? That is wonderful! I love it, my favorite smell.
Fresh cut grass, that's pretty nice as well.
Or cooking. I don't care what kind of cooking, just the smell is loooooovely.
LOGAN. - June 17, 2008 02:31 PM (GMT)
I love the smell of storms.
Fire Apprentice Volus - June 18, 2008 06:09 PM (GMT)

Cookies, Coffee and Rain. My top three favourite smells.
kismet - June 19, 2008 07:47 AM (GMT)
I love the smell of rain, bread and ... smoke?! Yeah, if it's wood smoke it's got this awesome smell - even though you can pass out from it, I like it.
Oh and you know that distinct smell when you go out on a late winter day? I'm always like: "Yay, it smells like spring!" (But maybe that's just me. o.O)

i love the smell of a new car. you know, the new car smell? yeaah..
Lei - August 13, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Wood smoke. Nothing beats coming home on a cold Novermber day to the smell of smoke and knowing there's a fire crackling away in the fireplace inside.
Also, Vanilla, Spiced Cider, and the way pavement smells when it's just barely starting to rain...
AshBeanNun - August 13, 2008 10:00 PM (GMT)
Candles that smell like food stuffs; cinnamon, vanilla, apples, sugar cookie, pumpkin, all of them. Cedar. The smell of fresh air flooding in just after you open the window of a stuffy room. Rain and storms. Cookies. Mom's brownies. Christmas trees. The mint on the mountains in West Virginia. And that new book smell...mmmm. Love it.

Well I work in a bakery, so I often get a snort of the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread and the scent of cooks coming out of the oven :D
SpazzyMal - August 13, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Wood smoke is nice, but I don't like barbeque smell. Just fires.
I have a weird thing for wet dogs. Yeah, I know. Weird. More than that though! PUPPY SMELL! Nothing smells more awesome than a little, fluffy puppy.
Warm bread is irresistable to me. Like, seriously. Last night, I ate pasta before my mom decided the whole family was going out to eat that night... I got to the restaurant, smelled the warm bread, and drooled. I ate five rolls. FIVE. I wasn't even hungry, it was just the smell was like "OMG MUST HAVE NOW!". XD
Fruits, too. Anything but melons or strawberries.
Charcoal, probably because I draw with it all the time.
Paper. Books, comics, newspapers etc. I'm all over it. Burnt paper's nice too.

Oh, and the smell of winter.
There are many others, but I suppose those would be my top.

Containedjoy - August 19, 2008 03:41 PM (GMT)
You know that smell you get when you've held a bunch of spare change in your hand for a few minutes? That lovely metallic smell... Amazing.
There's also a certain type of ant that once infested my house that smells really strongly, almost like citronella only sweeter. As odd as it is to say, I love sniffing those ants.
And a piece of paper fresh and warm from the printer. ^^
Maverick - August 20, 2008 07:20 PM (GMT)
I love the smell of rain, popcorn, fresh cut grass, clothes right out of the dryer, just washed hair, and probably a lot of other ones.
December, Esq - August 20, 2008 08:06 PM (GMT)
Forests, rain, and fall.
I can't smell some smells, though. Even if I'm standing right there.
Hogwarts Unleashed - August 20, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
I have a few favorite smells:
- camp fires! yumm
- My boyfriend
- freshly baked cinnamon rolls
- fresh cut grass though I'm allergic to it *sad*
- burnt toast
Currently, I smell remains of the eggs I made for supper that are slowly cooling and looking more disgusting by the moment. eww.

I love the smell that a match makes after it’s been blown out, so technically sulfur.
The smell of the morning dew or just after it rains.
The smell of Spices in the air during Thanksgiving.
And odd enough some male deodorants, it’s odd, I know.
