So I've noticed something on this board I just joined... people don't actually roleplay.

Yeah. It's really annoying.

All they do is chat in the c-box, post in plot pages and talking ooc or play ic games...

It's one of those sites where you can't see the board until you're accepted, so I spent lots of time filling out their long appliaction, making sure everything was nice only to find out that they don't role play.

I checked around, just to make sure that, you know, I wasn't missing something saying to wait to roleplay for a bit, but i wasn't.

So I posted in the ic games, c-box, got to know people and like a day after joining posted the first actual role playing post on the site. It's been a week and no reply. It's been looked at like twice. Hm...

Why on earth would people join a role playing site and not role play. It's not like they've abandoned the board - they're still there, posting away in the ooc chat and ic-games.... wtf?

Oh, I feel your pain. I joined a site once in which the same exact thing happened. What I hate is when you ask if someone wants to roleplay and one person says yes. So you go off to make a topic and that person posts in it ONCE and that's it. It gets me soooo mad.

I've been on a site in which not only do people not roleplay, they don't even talk in the c-box and the only active thing is the OOC board. Seriously, what's the point if you're not going to rp?

That sucks. Don't look at it as a wasted experience though! You fleshed out a character! YOu can now use that character on a proper board xD

I hope you find someone up there that actually role-plays, though.

Wow I think I would hit someone over the head with a hammer. That's ridiculous. You have to have a good balance of each. What I really hate is when members join my board and just chat and don't rp. I just want to scream "role play or get the eff out!"

*rants and grumbles*

I agree with Emma. Use the character elsewhere. Obviously they don't deserve you.

Sucks though, have to say.
