As Zetaboards increses in popularity (and they work on converting forums), I'm wondering if RPG-D is going to convert?

Not yet, when we are going to convert we'll let everybody know as we might go offline for a bit too adding some new stuff. Maybe this summer, we're not in a hurry to convert really.

The only thing bad about Zeta is that their is no skin converter. So you have to know how to do it yourself. (Or have a friend who knows how.)

I think a skin converter will become available.

But that's another factor why were not converting anytime soon. We're either waiting for some more/better skins to come out for ZB, or for a skin converter. We don't have this skin up for that long, so it's a shame to convert now lol and get a more crappy.... appearance for the forums ^^. And anyway, before we convert, we'll test everything on a test forum anyways so that no errors will be found in the theme, codes and the like.

That´s all fine and dandy.. but it might be helpfull if you say why you hate zetaboards lol. Otherwise I can't do much with that info. What part of Zetaboards do you hate?

The unique coding. I had to linkback on a Zetaboard site and had to quote another advertisement to figure out that their bbcode was a mix of html and regular bbcode? That's obnoxious. I was also trying to find something on the site (forgot what now) and couldn't figure out where they moved it to when it's so easy to find on any other Invision site.

Ya know, I think a lot of ipbfree and proboards forum owners feel the exact same way about invisionfree.

Well Invisionfree has unique coding too. I don't see a problem, it's only a matter of getting used too.

I do have some minor issues with the "upgrade" that end up, to me, making it seem like more of a sidestep. Topics are harder to navigate, for one - you can't choose between "last post," "first post" and "most recent unread post" like you can on Invisionfree forums. It's not crippling, but it does add an unwelcome extra layer of difficulty in keeping up to date on much of anything. You can no longer search by IP in ACP, "masks" have turned into "alternate groups" which is pretty much a crock of shit, and there's an extra, completely pointless section in masks - being able to see the forum has split into seeing the forum and being able to read anything inside it.

Otherwise, it's fully funvtional. Skins are still a little sparse, though, so it's probably a good idea to wait for a while, let them update crap and get more skins. It's still a good forum system, but a bit of culture shock if you're coming from Invisionfree forums.

Those are all reasons why we are waiting with an upgrade until we are more sure how everything works/ would work out. And really, the advantage with ZB is that all the things you mention as things you do not liked, could still be added/editted. As long as you mention them to the IF/ZB staff ^_^, if you don't mention that, they won't know it.

I use IPBfree so I know. IF's code is unique, but it's not stupid. Blending two codes is just confusing.

Are you sure you aren't afraid of change ?

I felt that way about Invisionfree when I was on proboards. Like anything else it just takes time to get use to. And Zeta does have good points, it's not fair to say it's all bad and horrible.
