Ok I'm sorry if theis is really stupid or dumb but I'm not sure how to explain about this subject to those member's of my site who don't know what it is. It's new to be also so I don't know to much but can some one give me a breif explaination of what plotting is. Here's a link to what I'm talking about.

Well, I think plotting is basically another word for 'making a story'. Plotting can be done on serveral levels, all of which can help you create RP threads and make RP'ing more fun. On the most easiest level plotting can be finding friends, enemies, relationships etc. This can be done inside RP, although like this it mostly takes a long time before you even have some sort of 'friendship' with another character. Also it's harder to jump into a thread when your new and don't know any of the members.

That is why we have 'relationship plotting' (relationship in the not love sense). *points to that topic*. In such a 'plotting' board you can create a fancy, or non fancy list. Mostly such a topic is seperated into three 'subjects'. 'Friends', 'Enemies' and 'Love relationships'. As in real life, there are certain levels of friendships, enemies etc. For instance you ahve one best buddy, but next to that you can have 10 normal friends and a lot more 'acquintances'. These are mostly counted to the friends. For enemies you for instance have 'Hardcore' (worst of worst) to 'annoyance'. Which all describe a level of this enemie part. This is the same from love relations, you can have a crush, you can have a flirt with someone, or it's your real bf/gf. (other things could be added as well, such as Family (cousins etc.)

You as a member create such a topic, with those three (four) subjects, and those levels of subjects the other RP'ers can choose where they stand relating to your character. I mean, in real life, if your in fifth year, you must know all of your fellow classmates, this is the same in RP. Other members will reply and fill out the form you provided (this will immediatly give all the info about them, character name, age (year), place they live (house) and tell you what they want to be of you. Ofcourse you can always ask them to change it.
