This is the Support Center FAQ (frequently asked questions). Hopefully this FAQ will give you anwsers without having to post in this board. As this topic says, questions which have been asked multiple times will be added into this FAQ. So please refrain from asking the same question, you will simply get a link to this topic and your topic will be moved to the Solved Support.

This FAQ is for all support, so not only for Invisionfree support questions, but also Proboards, phpBB etc. etc.

1: Coding


Q: The news box code that you have here on RPG-D, could I get the coding for it?

A:The anwser is simple: no. We have added writing to the code to our liking, so it's not the basic code anymore that was provided on the IFSZ. Let's say, we can't provide you with the 'blank' code without our information in it.

Q: I need a code for my board, can you make one or where can I find them?

A: RPG-D does not create codes for distribution. You can find codes on so called 'resource' forums. The two best forums for Invisionfree boards is the Invisionfree Official Support Forum. And also the Invisionfree Skin Zone
For Proboards you can best go to the Proboards Official Support Forum.

2: Appearance

Q: I need a skin for my forum, can someone make it?

A: We are sorry, but RPG-Directory doesn't provide a skinning service. However, as mentioned above, for skins you can best go to the Invisionfree Skin Zone.

Q: I need some graphics made for my forum, can someone help me?

A: On RPG-Directory we have a graphices request service found here!. With very talented graphics staff.

Do remember, that we only do RPG related graphics, and we do not make all sorts of graphics. If you need a graphic, but we don't make it, you can go to Collaboration Graphics, or to theIFSZ.

Q: Where can I get the code for a sidebar?

A: There is a sidebar code created by Roswenth found here in the Documentations section.


3: Making/Managing RPG's/Boards

Q: I can't think up a good name for my board, can you help me?

A: Well, this is mostly a tricky question, if you can't find proper support in here, you can still post. But to give you a few tips. Pick a board name which relates to your board genre, but isn't overused (for instance no 'Hogwarts, School of Witchraft and Wizardry). You can also translate english words into another language, for instance latin. Another good tip is looking through your music list, sometimes songs have really pretty titles, which could be perfectly used for a board name.

Q: I want to start a board, but I need staff members.

A: If you need staff members (co-admins, global moderators or moderators), you can ask in the Employment Center.


4: Board Problems

Q: Someone ripped my plot/rules/entire board idea, what should I do?

A: If you found this out because someone advertised their board, first of all you should pm ShinLi, reporting this. Include a link to the advertisement (which you claim has ripped your board), and a link to your own and tell what has been ripped. (This will ensure that the ripping party will be removed from RPG-D).
