Title: Can Graduation Just Be Over, Please? Seriously.

Ughh I am so stressed. :[

I have like 15 family members coming, most of which will be staying in my house, so that sucksfjsldaf. And I just learned at graduation practice today that I am missing or accidentally threw out the "fake" collar that the girls are supposed to wear with their gowns. CRAP. I don't even know what that looks like ajfsklfjslf.

I just want this to be over. Just one more day!

I knew how you felt on the 29th of May just cause I was so friggin' happy to finally be getting school over with, and the day just seemed to drag out forever!!!

But I swear it's gonna feel SOOOOOOO good once you got that diploma in your hand cause it's like, "What can they do?!? I'm out!"

Hopefully, everything will go over well for you though! And you're not alone, a lot of my friends graduate today too:D

Haha, actually, I'm graduating the 7th... so, on Saturday. I meant one day as in I just have to get through Friday, then I'm DONE, woot. Obviously I wasn't counting today, though I should have because it feels like I've been awake for a week. =___=;

swear to bob... all of Senior year felt like I never slept cause I just wanted it over and done with...

there's just that point you get to in life where you need something different and you need to move on and that's exactly how i felt! can't explain how pumped I am to actually NOT have to go back next year to highschool...

all in all, I hope the day goes well for you saturday! just keep your eyes on that dipolma;)

Graduation was one of the happiest days of my life.

People that I hated - I didn't have to ever see them again after that day.

A.M. Albright - June 6, 2008 02:06 AM (GMT)
HAHA!!! rotfl... that's so true... one of my friends ran up to me after we threw our hats in the air and was like, "Jenn! We NEVER have to see any of these stupid a** people ever again forcibly... we have a CHOICE now!"

If you couldn't already tell... she really didn't care for too many of our classmates:D!

Graduation day was happy for me, was on the stage, gave like two speeches and didn't have to wait to get my diploma cause those on the stage got it first! but it still feels so awesome:D

Graduation day lead to another happy time in my life.

College.

Seriously, I freaking LOVE uni.

Arakis - June 6, 2008 06:19 AM (GMT)
Oh, I agree. I even would go so far as to say that I like to have my birthdays short and sweet.

Mousie - June 6, 2008 07:45 AM (GMT)
Ah, graduation.

Final year of highschool can be pretty much described as:

-- (watching the previous class graduate) OH MY GOODNESS! THIS IS OUR LAST YEAR!!1!!!11
-- OH MY GOODNESS! WE MUST STUDY NOW! AAAAAH!
-- OH MY GOODNESS! ALCOMAHOL! (note: Aussie year 12s turn eighteen!)
-- Meh. Screw study. Partying is more fun.
-- OH MY GOODNESS! MID YEAR EXAMS!
-- Holidays.
-- This time, I will study more!
-- Eighty-five days to go.
-- Eighty-four days to go.
-- Eighty-three days to go.
-- Eighty-two days to go.
-- Okay. SO over school now.
-- OOH! Shiny. Still sick of school.
-- BAAAAAAAAH!... CAN WE JUST GRADUATE ALREADY??
-- BAAAAAAAAAAH! .... *hides* Two weeks left!
-- BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ... I don't wanna leave highschool!
-- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! GRADUATION DAY!
-- OH MY GOODNESS... I should study for exams. *head-desk*

I bawled my eyes out at graduation. It's the last time my group was really 'together'. Which I still find really sad, though we stay in contact in bits and pieces. They played 'Beautiful Day' at our grad, which was also on the radio the day I moved down to Melb... talk about bawling my eyes out then too!

But good luck, and congrats on making it through highschool at all!

Oh my gosh. lol graduation was such a NIGHTMARE! we have an indoor ceremony so there was limited space. So everyone only got a certain amount of tickets that you could give to your family like ten or something. So like people were trading tickets and stuff all over the place so that they could get more people in. The year was so crazy with the ceremony practices and the admin constantly warning people that if they stepped a toe out of line they wouldn't graduate. AND we had a new school like it was built our freshman year. So we were the first graduating class of the school. Well the one that had gone there all four years. So like it was an even bigger deal. THEN, there was the fact that my mom was a crazy person with what i was supposed to wear. She has this thing where she doesn't think I can dress myself or something for big events so she went around to all these shoe stores and clothing places for the whole month before buying things making me try them on inbetween practices and work and school and stuff and then would take them back until she found the thing she liked (which I had to wear which looked horrible) lol It was a crazy mess of a year and time, but trust me when they tell you that high school is the best years of your life so you should enjoy them....because after high school, you are out on your own and you WILL miss it. Trust me.

^ That's the same way our graduation is, actually. Our school has over 800 graduating seniors, and the space where we're having the ceremony is limited so each person only got 9 tickets. I needed about 8 more; luckily people canceled so I only needed 5. But still, it was so stressful and fjlaskf.

I am kind of... ambivalent? about graduating. Yesterday was my last day to ever be at my school (graduation practice), whereas last Friday was my last day of school since I was exempt from finals. I'd be walking through the halls, trying to get nostalgic and sad, but it just... wasn't there. I will be sad to leave my friends, but I have been looking forward to college pretty much since I was a HS freshman (and I've had senioritis about as long). LOL.

I don't believe people who say high school is the best years of your life. If that's true, then the rest of my life is going to be pretty damn mediocre, apparently. (Luckily, I've heard more people say that college is the best for years of your life, heh.) I had a good time in high school, especially junior and senior year, but not an amazing time. "It's been real, it's been fun... but not real fun." :p

I just graduated to. Believe me, it'll all be over soon and you will be so ridiculously happy that any hoops you had to jump through will seem like small change. (:

Sunday - June 7, 2008 10:21 PM (GMT)
It's actually over now, haha. Woohoo for being out of high school. Now I'm just waiting for all my party guests to arrive, yay. =]

Congratulations. Graduation is such an exciting time; it sucks that you have to have so much stress. (I only had my immediate family at my graduation.) Best of luck in college. :]

Fablezzz - June 8, 2008 02:11 AM (GMT)
Don't rush it, Sunday!

^_^

This is definately one of the most important parts of your life. Something you'll be looking back on forever! You should do your best to cherish every moment of it, even the harsh parts. :green:

How BIG is your school? My school only just cracked the 1100 mark -- and that's with years 7-12.

As for the clothing problems you guys all seem to have... hehehe... I graduated in jeans and t-shirt. We had two events - the valedictory the night before (formal event, get certificate) ... unofficial afterparty... Graduation Breakfast (teachers cooking barbeque! WOOT!) and then we graduate in an extended assembly, in front of the whole school, parents and friends.

You get youre school logo coffee cup at the actual grad ceremony, and a handshake from the principal. Most everyone is hungover for graduation...

My graduation is tomorrow afternoon and I'm not looking forward to it. Not going to highschool anymore = awesome. Sitting in a boring and unnecessarily formal ceremony that is estimated to last 3 hours = not.

I had 8 family members and only 7 tickets, so I had to steal one. Then in the past two days, my mom's mom and sister have announced that they aren't coming, and my dad's mom had a heart attack and won't be coming. Now I have 3 (maybe 4) extra tickets that I can't do anything with. One of my sisters is freaking out that she can't come, but I'm not allowed to give her a ticket because I don't have enough for the rest of my siblings. My boyfriend, the one person I actually want to be there, can't come.

UGH.

Just under 4,000 students (grades 9 - 11)! The ceremony took 2 hours though, more or less. We got 3 seconds of recognition on stage. LOL. Woohoo.

Fablezzz : I know. I did have fun and it was pretty overwhelming at one point, but I am just SO glad it's over. Seriously, haha. I sound like I had a rotten time in HS; I didn't. I really enjoyed it. But I've always been the type that just wanted to get to college.

Thanks for all your thoughts everyone =] My party was so fun today, lmao.

Arakis - June 8, 2008 08:54 AM (GMT)
I spent my senior year in an alternative school, to get it over with quick--such that I did a year's worth of work in a semester.

My graduating class had about 15 members.

Each one of the members personally delivered a speech.

Someone said "fuck" in theirs.

I lol'd.

They were smart kids, but all lazy or something.
