Title: Suggestions

Just a few suggestions, that may help with the board appearance.
1. Change the Forum Rules icon, the current one is the default one as stands out too much on the skin.
2. Change the Navigation Separator to ' » '. Include the spaces, as it spaces things out and makes it look more organized.
3. Get the forum an RSS feed, if you need any help with the RSS feed let me know and I'll tell you how to set one up.
4. Get a custom favicon, if you already have one, copy the code for it and place it under the <% BOARD HEADER %> tag as it isn't displaying in FF.

Well, thanks for the suggestions, we'll keep them in mind, but none of those things really have anything to do with what we offer as a forum. We have many extremely helpful services and while those things may make the forum look nicer, that really isn't what we're all about. If you were here before the skin changeover, we have always been very laid back when it came to board appearance. The sidebar is new, the graphics are new, and before we had a very popular skin and graphics, nothing special. We'll take it into consideration and when there is a lapse in things needing to be done we can probably update it.

I see, thanks Kerplanda, personally I can't live with default images :p And I have to have eveything organized.

I'll work on it if I have the time, because I like to do little things like that. I'm already thinking about what we could use as a favicon - because it would help to set us apart from other places.
Could you explain to me what an RSS Feed is, please? I've never experimented with them before so I don't know how we would benefit from having one.
As Kerplanda said, thank you for the suggestions.

Once you set up an RSS feed it only takes a few clicks and you have subscribed to it, this feed will then notify you on the newest posts etc. and will give links to them. Neat, simple and helpful.

It's like a more advanced chatbox Emma.

If it tells you what new posts have been made etc how is it like a chatbox?

They're not really like cboxes, because you can't chat in them, but it is like that in terms of whether we need one for this site I suppose. An RSS feed is a news feed so they have them on many major sites- yahoo, CNN, Google, etc. I've never seen one on a forum before though and can't really see where it would be beneficial to us.
Do you have an example of a forum with a functional RSS feed? As it is, I think all the benefits of one (notifications of new posts and everything) are already offered by IF in the My Assistant area up in the navigation.

Yep. Tally now has a news feed.

*checks it out*
Interesting! I'm not sure how useful it would be here though- I certainly wouldn't want an update of every post made at a site with 6 pages of active topics a day, and I think the Active Topics list is just as helpful as a feed. Good discussion though :)
