Title: Mark As Read Button

stormyhearted - May 11, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
Anyone have any idea why I can click on some of the red buttons to mark the forum as red, and some I can't? It's very inconsistent and a little strange.

Thanks.

So . . . when a forum has new posts then you can click it to make it 'read'. When it doesn't have any new posts, it's already on the 'read' button. Get it? So you can only click it if the forum has new posts!

No, I mean some forums will have unread posts that I don't want to read, but I can't click the red button to mark it as read.

Hm, well if there are new posts, then you should be able to hit the button. There really isn't any kind of reason why it wouldn't work. If the button is already the faded out color though, it won't do anything if you click it. Also, sometimes the forum may have new posts, but you've been through that forum so many times that it doesn't count them as new for you anymore, so it just marks it as read on the outside of the forum. Nothing much else can be done I'm afraid.

It happens for me, too! Just click through the topics real quick and it turns to the paler one. It's annoying, but you deal.

I'm not the only one! Thanks.

I really don't know why it does that, but I seem to be having a different browsing method through new topics then most people XD. It might just be a bug or something wrong in IF. Can't say anything for sure though.

Dunno. The button always works for me.
